Get On Page One Of Google Without Any Back links
There is huge push right now among internet marketers to sell you software that will automatically get you backlinks to your site through RSS feeds or by doing auto submissions of articles. Donât fall for it. Automating these tasks will most surely throw a red flag to Google and they will most likely eventually ban your domain from their search listings. Not that Iâm against RSS feeds or article marketing, in fact I use them both, but if youâre going to spend your hard earned money on something to boost your search engine results at least spend it on a good SEO course.
Contrary to what you may have been told it is not that difficult to get on page one of Google through simple search engine optimization. As a matter of fact over a longer period of time you will get to page one and stay there much longer if you do it through SEO than thru any tricky backlink maneuver. SEO is not as hard as you think. Will optimizing your site be enough to get you to page one in a very competitive market like âweight lossâ? I doubt it, but itâs not hard to get to page one for longer tailed keywords. And I donât mean 4-5 word phrases that no one ever searches for, but 2-3 word phrases that get search anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 times a month. Doing SEO can get you on page one for them, no problem.
Most people believe that search engine optimization is some complicated project that is constantly changing. This simply isnât true. The same honest SEO that got your site on page one a year ago will still be working 10 years from now. Proper keyword selection, choosing the right domain name, making your page title keyword rich and relevant to your content and naming your pages correctly will always work.
Auto generating keyword heavy content that makes no sense to the reader  will not. The engines have become way too sophisticated for that. No, instead trying actually writing some good content, keeping it focused on your topic and use tags like the âheadingâ tag and the right anchor text for internal links in manner that would make sense to real live human and the search engines will love you. It takes no less time to write good content as it does to try and implement some search engine manipulation plan that isnât going to work for long. And a site with quality content will stay on top of the listings much longer.
Is there work that needs to be done up front? Of course. Doing keyword research to find out what search terms people are actually typing into the search engine boxes is a start. Once youâve determined that it is actually quite easy to get a keyword rich domain name and build your content around what people are searching for. Remember it doesnât do you any good to rank high for terms that no one searches with. Keep that in mind next time some guru gives you examples of sites that they have on page one. See if anyone is actually looking with those search phrases.
The rest of the work involved is mainly just writing to inform the reader. Creating valuable content on your site that keeps them there. Search engines pick up durations of visits, so make sure you have a site worth looking at. Creating a site as a source of information with the right keywords and you can be on page one of Google in no time.
Can Your Online Business Prosper Without Google?
Millions of people around the world are desparate to find some extra money, to alleviate the effects of the global crisis. Many are turning to the internet to find that Pot of Gold
Thousands of people have done it and achieved freedom from money worries. So what is their secret? How do they get a steady stream of visitors to their website and how do they persuade them to click the “Buy Now” button? Probably the two most popular approaches are Google Adwords and Search Engine Optimisation.
Google Adwords carries millions of small ads every day, for every conceivable product or subject imaginable. So it must be the way to go, right? Sure, many people are making a good living from Adwords and a few are make a fortune. But, if you’ve tried it, then you’ll know it ain’t easy.
This is one of the most competitive (and dirty) markets around. First, you have to aquire a detailed knowledge of how this thing works, then you have to spend time constantly testing and tweaking your ads and you have to be prepared to spend money before you find the right keywords and the most effective ads. You can set a daily limit to your spending but just twenty dollars a day will mop up 600 bucks in the first month.
Most popular keywords cost anything up to 2 or 3 dollars per click, so $20 won’t buy many clicks and, at an average conversion of two or three percent, you will not get many sales per day. Two more problems are likely to occur with an Adwords campaign.
There are only about eight slots for ads on each page of Google, so the competition for these slots, particularly on the first page of results, is very fierce and often very sneaky. Each of the eight “tenants” of those valuable places on Page 1 are striving to get to position one, which, on average, gets over 70% of the traffic on that page and the only way to do that is to push the others down. All the Adwords users on the second and third pages are also fighting to climb up the greasy pole.
It is now possible to buy software that will allow you to spy on details of competitors’ campaigns and to see what keywords they are using and even what they are paying for each keyword, so you can potentially bid slightly higher and gain a higher position. If you manage to get a respectable position on Page 1 or 2, you can bet that some of your competition will be using these tricks against you. Even if you have gained a comfortable position on Page 1 of Google, it is a constant struggle to maintain that position.
There is an alternative approach to running a successful Google Adwords campaign. You can employ a specialist team of experts, with the experience and the time to do the whole thing for you. Unfortunately, you need to be in a position to spend a few thousand dollars a month to get them interested. That’s why I say that Google Adwords may be one of the most difficult ways to make money on line, certainly for a newcomer with little money to risk.
So how about Option Two? Search Engine Optimisation. Surely this is the ultimate solution!
You learn how to design and build a web page which meets all Google’s guidelines (and I’ll tell you what they are) and then you get on Page One, with a page which costs nothing to be there and wait for the money to roll in. How cool is that?
This is all you need to do. Find a suitable keyword phrase (preferably 4 or 5 phrases) which gets at least 100 searches a day and which does not have many heavy hitters in the competition. 1,000 searches a day is obviously much better but is likely to have strong, well-established competition.
Then you need to get a domain name which incorporates the main keyword or phrase and build your web page so that it includes the keywords in the Title of the page; in the Description of the page; in the URL of the page; in the Headline of the page and in the Anchor Text of all links to other websites. That’s not too difficult, is it?
Google measures the importance of web pages by noting how many other sites refer to the content on that page. If these other web sites are themselves considered to be important, these links are very valuable. The more important these other sites are, the more weight Google gives to these links. I can tell you, getting these links is hard work.
Here’s a real example. My website is on Page One of Google, for the phrase “Stop Arthritis Pain”, out of 2.1 million results. Last time I looked, it was at position 6, on Page One, and has been there for months. The same search phrase is on Page One of Yahoo (at position 2), out of 21.7 million results. Impressive eh?
I’ll bet you’re thinking “that page must be pulling in a ton of money”. Well, it isn’t. The reason is, that keyword phrase is not a popular search term and only gets about 20 visitors a day, so it makes a few dollars a day but nothing significant. Think about those other twenty million pages, who are getting even less traffic than those on page one.
So, if you can get onto Page One of the big search engines, you may make a lot of money but 99.9% of the pages up there are having no impact at all, in terms of making money for their owners. In many cases, it’s a lot of time and effort for no reward.
Now, there is a Third Way, which has been used as a traditional sales approach for decades. Make money by giving stuff away for FREE! We’ve all heard of BOGOF – “Buy One, Get One Fee!” How about, “Get this valuable stuff, without buying anything”? Many internet marketers, smarter than I, claim to be making excellent earnings with this method and without the aid of Google Adwords or the Search Engines.
This is a quote from an expert, who has many profitable websites from using these methods -
“There is no more powerful way to sell your product than by ‘preselling’ it with free and useful information, typically with a free ebook.”
Getting Into and Around Google Without Getting the Boot!
Getting indexed in Google and making our websites available to the world via the top search engine remains one of the biggest challenges for webmasters, myself included! It takes more than just submitting your URL to Google’s directory, so I have taken it upon myself to find out a few things about how Google works, what services it has available, and how to get in, and stay in!
To get your site listed in Google, you will have to submit your URL to their directory, but it will take quite a while for them to get to your site and have it listed and reviewed for a page rank. In the meantime, there a few things you can do that will help get your site noticed. Google has something called “Google Base” which allows you to describe your products or services on your site that Google will make searchable. Because you are using words directly related to your site, this feature can bring you targeted visitors, and may be included in the Google search index and other places around Google. “Google Local” is another feature of Google that will allow you to enter the same type of description of your products and services on your site, but to an even more targeted audience – those people searching for specific products and services in a specific local area. If you are looking for ways to advertise without spending a fortune, this is one way to do it!
As we all know, blogging is becoming one of the most effective ways to advertise online. Google offers something called “Google Blog Search” where you can list and post your blogs for additional traffic to your site, and you can post multiple blogs, a specific blog, or even an entire blog. Since content is what attracts the search engines, both by blogging and submitting articles, Google also has a feature called “Google News” where you can submit articles, along with your picture which will get featured by the top search engine. All it takes is visiting the American Chronicle website, submitting an article, signing up to be a contributor, and submitting your articles that will be syndicated on Google News to the millions of readers every day! You can even submit a press release to Google News via PRLeap, and if you really want to get fancy, you can create and index a video or infomercial for your site that is indexed by Google with “Google Video”. You may want to take advantage of this feature as audio and video feeds are becoming a more and more popular and effective means of reaching customers online.
This all sounds great, and you can be going along thinking everything is fine and dandy, but then suddenly you discover that your site has been banned by Google and you aren’t sure why. One thing that can get you banned from Google, meaning your site cannot be found when searched, is trying to put hidden keywords on your page to get a higher ranking – words that your visitors cannot see, but that the search engines can see. People will cram these words onto their sites in various ways both on the page itself or in the meta tags, or repeat keywords they think will give them a higher page rank but will only get your site banned.
Something else that is bad for your Google Page Rank is linking to a link farm, or a directory of links from everywhere with no real categorization to it, or linking to another banned website. Sometimes you will be linked to a site with good PR, without realizing that that site has actually got hidden or repeat keywords that later get that site blacklisted. Unfortunately you have no way of knowing this is happening to you and thereby decreasing your own page rank unless you check your link partners on occasion to make sure that the sites you are linking to have not been blacklisted by Google. You do want to exchange links and get one-way links pointing back to your site from sites with a higher PR than your own and which are not banned sites.
As you can see, there are many ways to use Google that people are not aware of, if they just visit the Google site and find out what features it has that they can use to their benefit and for free. As long as you stick to the rules in putting your site together, and link to high PR sites, you should be on your way!

How to Master the Art of PPC Advertising Without Breaking the Bank
It’s no secret that the people who cut the biggest cheques in this world are the people who are willing to write smaller ones to get there.
If you’re reading this, you already know that affiliate marketing is a tough game for anyone involved, but particularly for the type of person that wants to dip in and out of new markets and spread their assets across many different niches (always a good idea).
So unless you’ve already got a well trafficked website and/or a huge list that is highly focused and relevant to the products you’re aiming to promote, you’ve got a choice:
1. Start working hard at building sites, hunting backlinks, writing a serious amount of articles, content and blogs…
…eventually your efforts will pay off. But don’t expect money (or indeed traffic) to come knocking for the best part of the next 12 months…not consistently or in large volumes at least.
2. PPC traffic. Bam.
Remember the cutting small cheques to win bigger ones philosophy? Well, PPC is the broker and boy has it got some big affiliate cheques waiting with your name on it.
In a world full of potential markets to dip into and make money, the first option is simple not viable for the hungry netreprenuer. There’s too much work and time required, unless you outsource all of the work (which can often be a huge energy hog and often ends up in tears anyway).
However, people may argue that PPC is also a huge time and energy hog, and PPC can also leave you ended up in tears, particularly after the major PPC search engines such as Google are becoming so competitive and particularly about the campaigns you set up and run.
But in order to get instant traffic and make money from literally every corner of the internet, PPC is still the ultimate way to tap into hungry buyers overnight (plus you don’t have to worry about your traffic levels suddenly dropping like you do with free traffic).
So the real key is to beat the system, and make PPC easy to operate, without losing money and spending lots of time in the process.
In order to do so, you’ll need to address the following key aspects to making your PPC campaign a success…
1. Testing is key
If you don’t test which keywords are bringing you money, and you don’t test which way of presenting your offers (via your webpage/landing page etc) then you’ll always be throwing money away. Once you know what is working, you can dump the duds and literally save yourself thousands in wasted clicks.
Then, reinvest that saved money into more clicks, or even use it to outsource some of your “nitty-gritty” work that you don’t want to do yourself anymore.
2. Target desperate keywords
It’s far easier to target people who are in a desperate mental state than it is to target “tire kickers” who are just snooping around, with no credit card in hand.
3. Watch your budget, but don’t limit it
Of course, the safest way to save yourself wasted PPC cash is to keep a close eye on your campaigns. However, the common mistake here is to cap your daily PPC budget.
By doing this, you’re essentially telling Google not to show your ads too often. This will save you money, but will also limit your exposure and will take you longer to find out of your campaign is going in the right direction. It’s far better to stop the campaign manually when things start getting expensive (providing you’re not in profit that is!)
