Tips To Make Money With Adsense For Domains Without Websites or Blogs

Tips To Make Money With Adsense For Domains Without Websites or Blogs

Google Adsense is really making people rich, how? Google has pay-per-click advertising program that pays when someone clicks on the ads you display on your website.

Thousands of dollar are being made everyday through Google Adsense yet so many people do not know that easy way to make money from Google Adsense without “website or blog”.

In this article I want to reveal the new and exclusive Google Adsense money making secrets to rake in dollars into your account without owning a website or blog. With this strategy, you don’t need to worry yourself about writing articles. You don’t need to copy others people’s article for your blog.

Tips To Make Money Through Adsense For Domain

Step 1: Do a research on high paying keyword or key phrases. There are many tools in the internet that provide services in helping to determine what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out. Perhaps the best free too is provided by Google. Visit: Keyword suggestion tool. You do need to sign-up for a free Google Adwords account to use this tool.

Step 2: Register  the keywords as a as a domain name. The top secret of this Adsense for domain is using high paying keywords for your domain names and you will distinguish yourself from those who are not making money from Adsense.

Step 3: Change the name with your Google Adsense PUBcode and change the IP number of you’re a Host code at your domain register.

Step 4: Write a small article and attach the domain name you have registered. You should send the article to your mailing list and within 48 hours you should make some money.

Step 5: Drive additional traffic to the domain name and you will earn more money.

Step 6: Register more than 20 domain names and drive more traffic to them. You will be on your way to making real money through Adsense for domain.

Step 7: Get to know how to get your domain name, since this is the most important aspect of this business. You must not flop in this area.

There  are two basic steps to getting started in this exclusive business.

First: Registering a domain name. A domain name make up the address of your site and end in .com, .net, .org, .info, .us, .biz, .tv and more.

Second: Once  you have registered your name, you will select a web host. The web host is the guts of any website because this is where you create and publish your pages, build order forms, add functionality and maintain your site.

However, this Adsense money making opportunities is selecting the best domain name.

How To Select A Domain Name

You should register a name that contain your major keywords instead of your company name. The average surfer searches by subject, not by proper name. Choose a name that includes keywords that your target audience would likely use when they search.

In Adsense for domain, the domain name is the only factor weighed by search engines when deciding your rank.

Tips On Choosing The Best Domain Name

1. Don’t register domain names that are long and too many syllables if you can help. You want a name that can easily be remember.

2. Use hyphens if your name is more than 3 words long (unless your name includes 3 short words

Domain Extension

There are several domain extensions available to you such as the ones I mentioned before. Some of these work better than others and are more memorable at the same time. The .com domain name extension is the best by far, because it is the most widely used.

How does Google rank your webpages and websites?

According to Google, there are 200 factors that Google uses to rank your webpages against the competitors. Most of other search engines like Bing and Yahoo Search also have these common factors. You cannot assume your website to rank on the first page of search results if it is new, doesn’t have good fresh content, does not follow SEO guidelines and incorporates Black Hat SEO techniques.

Let’s see some of the top ranking factors according to my research and data collected from the internet. Note: I am not explicitly mentioning Social Networking Factors since it is a very interesting factor and deserves for a separate article which I will be writing soon.

For more Viral Marketing Tricks and Free Consultation for Optimising your website so that we can rank it higher in Google Search, please come to our Free SEO site regularly http://www.howgoogleranks.com

1. Age of Domain: If your domain is newly registered and is just a few weeks or even months old, then be patience. Patience is the key. You have a long road ahead of you. A domain is like a property, the older it gets, the more value. The age of your website helps build trust. If your website has been online for several years, chances are you have an established business, you have a very good network and a constant flow of visitors.

2. Domain Hosting: Where is your site hosted? Find out through your hosting company what continent or country your site is hosted in. This can often times play a large role in search rankings. Always use a reputable hosting company. If your company is US based then use a hosting company in the United States. Also, I always recommend a dedicated IP when you can. There are virtual dedicated and cloud hosting solutions that are more affordable. Never use the cheapest hosting. The reality is, if you cannot afford hosting you should re-consider the business…I know this is harsh but very true.

3. Your Neighbors: If you have a virtual server, which sites like Godaddy usually are have been known to house hundreds of websites on one server. Make sure that your neighbors on your server are not classified as spam.

4. URL Structure: Make sure your URL structures are very clean. There should not be any random strings of characters at the end of your URL’s. This is part of the onsite search engine optimization process as well.

5. Content: Content is very important. To start make sure you have text on all your important pages, then make sure it is good text consisting of your targeted keywords spread throughout naturally. Simply put, ALWAYS write your content for humans, your website visitors first and NEVER write content for the solo purpose to achieve Google search engine rankings. Chances are the content will not be user focused or provide value to your visitors.

6. Internal Link Structure: Make sure your inner pages are linked correctly. Visitors should have easy made pathways connecting to your other pages from every page of your website. Make sure the code of your website is verified and keep flash and JavaScript to a minimum, if you can. Essentially make sure the site is clean, easy to use and interlinked to help the user experience.

7. Trust: Do you at least have a mailing address listed on your website? You should if you don’t. Google likes to see trust factors on websites so anything you can add that could help build trust for your audience will benefit your rankings. I always recommend having a phone number on each page of your website. Make it easy for people to do business with you, it all starts with establishing trust and that starts with contact information on your website.

8. Keywords: Make sure your website is optimized using your keywords. This means any alt tags for images, meta page information and existing content at the very least of things. Remember to naturally optimize your website based on the content of each page of your website.

9. Bounce Rate: Although bounce rate might not seem important if Google sees that nobody hangs out on your website for more than a few seconds before they leave this could be a ranking problem over time. Make changes to get visitors engaged with your website. Simple things, like video, newsletter sign up, call to actions, etc will help improve your bounce rate over time. Make sure you have proper tracking on your website, such as Google analytics.

10. Outbound links: Make sure the websites that you link to are 100% relevant to your business and industry. If you sell animals toys but you are linking to a site that sells shoes that is not very relevant and over time could really impact your rankings. Bottom line is if it makes sense to link to another site, then do so, but remember you could be sending your visitors away from your site.

11. Inbound Links: I know this was a list of my top 10, but I felt I had to mention inbound links. The key here (speaking as a white hat SEO person), don’t buy or exchange links. Market and promote your business online to build visitors to your website over time. If you do, then the relevant links will follow! **Note: As the Google (and yes there are 2 other major search engines!) algorithm changes there are always new ranking factors that come into play, such as the page load time and many others. I am sure when I re-do this list a year from now, there may be another one or two additional factors. As I told you earlier, Google looks into 200 factors when assigning a rank number to your website. Stay tuned to HowGoogleRanks.com, read all the articles and tips. It is  also very important to use the tips and optimizations in a good manner without breaking any rules of the big Gaint search engines. Make Google happy and Google will keep you happy.

Any thoughts or comments would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

What Kind Of Websites Get Listed in Google The Best

What Kind Of Websites Get Listed in Google The Best

Any website can get listed in google but there are some websites that have been known to get there faster than others. Google does tend to treat some websites better that a conventional website. So the best thing to do when you put together your marketing strategy is to use a combination of all of these different types of sites to get your site listed on google.

The most well know and simplest type of website is a wordpress blog. Wordpress is a free plat form that you can use a long with most hosting services to setup a website or blog very fast. It’s also used by a lot of people because it is very easy to post content to the site in the form of a blog post or article and its easy to design. This is the type of site that can be used to promote your main site. Or you can just create your main site using wordpress to make it easier. Google ranks these types of sites quicker for some reason. So as long as there is not a lot of competition, a wordpress blog will get listed on google easier.

Another type of website that gets listed better then most are Web 2.0 websites. A Web 2.0 site is a site that has user bases content. User based content is basically content that is provided by the visitors of the website. Wordpress.com can actually be thought of as a Web 2.0 site because anyone can sign up at there site and set up a wordpress blog. Blogs are the most common types of Web 2.0 sites but there are a ton of others.

When you create a Web 2.0 site your site can carry a lot of weight in googles eyes because most of the main Web 2.0 sites have very high page rank. One of the most used Web 2.0 sites is Squidoo.com Google was loving squidoo pages and would rank them very quickly but that has kind of changed now. There are a ton of others that are out there that you can used though like Wetpaint.com, Zimbio.com and lot of others. Just do a google search for Web 2.0 sites and you can find lots of them.

The last type of site I’m going to share with you is called a Social Bookmarking site. These are sites that are much like Web 2.0 sites but they are basically a place where users will post a site that they like and want to share with other people. They will allow you to rank a site and basically tell everyone how cool you think the site is. The most popular sites are Digg.com and Propeller.com

The best way to get listed on google is to use a combination of all of these sites to create backlinks get the word out about your site. There are more sites that I didn’t mention but you can find out more useful information by visiting my blog at http://HowToGetListedOnGoogle.com

Optimizing Websites For Google

Optimizing Websites For Google

In today’s competitive online market, anyone who is even a casual browser is aware of how important Google is to any business. Chances are, the bulk of your customers will be finding out about your business via Google, and whether you offer high-tech communication solutions or knitting supplies, you can bet that your sales will be affected by the position that your website occupies on a list of natural Google results. While you can certainly do your best to make a good site that is optimized for the Google search engine, there are many specific strategies that you can use to ensure that your website gets the traffic it needs.

The first and most obvious place to make your improvements is on the page itself. What do you offer in terms of good content? The Google search engine will search for context as well as content and through having good material on your site -articles, industry-specific glossaries and essays, to name a few- you’ll be that much more attractive to Google. Essentially, you are looking to optimize your use of keywords and the context that they come in. Part of this is simply making sure that you have a good site that gives the people they want, but remember that it does go beyond that.

Keyword density, the amount of time that a word or phrase is used on your site, is an important factor to keep in mind. Research is often done to ensure that they keywords that you are using will bring the right customers to your website. If the content of your site is too general, you’ll will end up not being specific enough and so loose relevance! Try to put yourself in the mind of someone who doesn’t even know what your service is. What questions is this person going to be asking themselves, and what should you do to draw them to you?

When you are planning to optimize your site for Google’s search engine, you should also remember that work should be done off your site as well. One thing that the Google search engine will judge you on is how many other sites will link to yours. If you are in a specialized business, where competitors are offering the precise same service that you are, there is a certain cachet in being a site that is linked to, which is something that Google has decided to use as a measure of your worth. Link building is the process whereby people make themselves more attractive to the Google search engine by ensuring that their link is everywhere. Remember that reciprocal links do not hold as much weight any more and so you should try to stick to one way links; while they can be very handy for building a rapport with other sites or businesses, keep in mind the fact that they are not appropriate tools when it comes time to help you with link building.

As you can see, making sure that your website gets the highest rank possible from the Google search engine is something of a full-time job. Make sure that you understand these basic concepts before you try to revolutionize the world with your web marketing abilities.

Google Adsense: How Google Indexes Websites Across the Internet

While Google has a strong focus on getting the best search results for users, it’s getting tougher all the time to get better results for your website with Google. for more help visit to:www.yourgoogleincome.com.Many smaller businesses with limited resources are likely to find themselves at a disadvantage due to the constant algorithm changes.

What will this latest change mean to you and your website? For some of you it will make very little difference, for others it will impact considerably because the number of pages from your website listed within Google’s search results will have diminished.

This article focuses on just one element of the March ‘06 “Big Daddy” update-the importance of getting external websites linked to yours, and how Google indexes websites across the internet.

Google uses link popularity as a measure to determine how often they will ‘crawl’ a website. Links have always been a strong measure of how Google ranks a website, but in the past this measure has been more geared towards determining PageRank and the order in which a web page is listed in Google search results.

What do I mean by indexing? Google uses an automated crawler called the Google to find websites across the internet. For new websites that are not currently indexed by Google, Google relies heavily on finding these new websites through links from existing websites within its current search database. For existing websites the Google visits websites already indexed within its database. If Google has already previously indexed a website, then it will generally be faster to index other pages within your website.

Google has introduced an additional complexity through its Big Daddy update. One thing many site owners have noticed since the end of March is that many pages from their websites have vanished from Google’s index. Google have said that with this recent update they are placing more weight on ‘crawling’ external links from websites that they classify as being important. The more external links you have pointing towards various pages within your site-not just your home page-, the more likely Google will crawl these pages and find other pages within your website.

Why are quality links so important? If Google doesn’t ‘crawl’ all your pages, then you will have no chance of having all your website content appear in Google’s search results. This means that you may have important information within your website that Google users will not find. At one stage it was enough to have your home page indexed and the rest of your website through a user-friendly website structure that the ‘crawler’ could follow. In the new environment however, that is no longer enough.

Note:” To show all of your results you will most likely need to click on the link of the last page that says     for more detail go to:www.youradsenseprofits.com.”repeat the search with the omitted results included”

External links pointing towards every single page within your website are not necessary, however make sure that external links point towards important pages within your website, and that your website structure is well linked to other parts of your website. The Google can easily crawl other pages from there.

An easy to follow navigation structure is vital for search engines, but more importantly for human visitors. Make sure that each page within your website has a clear link to the most relevant pages within the navigation structure. These individual pages should have clear links to relevant sub-pages. This way, you are satisfying both your visitors who are the most important when it comes to your website and the search engines.

Church Websites And Search Engine Ranking: Is Your Site Lost In The Internet Wilderness?

If you have, or are considering implementing, a church website or online ministry, there are several steps you can take to help ensure that your site is found, across all major search engines, by those who are looking for it. Effective search-engine ranking, for church websites, is fairly straight forward if you follow some basic rules.

Despite all the hoopla about search-engine ranking strategies, the end result is that search engines rank your site based on what your site actually represents, and the amount of concurrence of that representation from other sites on the web via links to your site. While that may seem complicated, it’s really not. Simply put, search engines want to see content relevant to what your site claims to be about, and that other outside sites “concur” with that assessment by linking back to you. Here are 12 proven steps for getting your church website indexed and optimized for favorable search-engine ranking for a specific key phrase.

Onsite (code and content of your church website) Optimization:

1) Make sure your key phrase appears in the title tag of your page. The title tag displays the page title that appears at the top of the browser when visiting a page. This can be easily overlooked as it is not a part of the content body itself.

2) While some search engines no longer take the keyword and description meta tags into account, there are still some that do. It’s responsible design practice to populate these tags. Found in the HTML code, they are located in the same general area as the title tag, so checking them at the same time is convenient and fast. Make sure that your key phrase(s) appears in the title, as one of the meta tag keywords, and part of the meta-tag description for that page.

3) Make sure that your key phrase appears as close to the top of your actual content as possible, and preferably formatted as Heading 1. If this is not possible, make sure it appears as soon as possible after the beginning, and format it differently (larger, more prominently) than surrounding text.

4) Naturally disperse your key phrase throughout the content. There is no hard and fast rule other than don’t overdo it. Search engine spiders love real content, but they don’t like keyword stuffing. In a normal page you should naturally have several mentions of that key phrase throughout the content without even trying.

5) If you have images on your page, it can be helpful to use the “alt tag” for these images for key-phrase inclusion. Do this, but do it sparingly, again, avoiding unnatural- appearing keyword stuffing.

6) Finally, your key phrase should also appear as close to the last words on the page as possible. (Hint: a copyright notice is ideal for this)

Offsite (sites other than your own) Optimization:

Even more important than the “onsite” techniques, are the other sites that link to yours. This part is critical and, while it takes a little effort, the payoff, in terms of search-engine ranking, is enormous. Most of the major search engines place great value on similar or related sites linking back to yours, and the specific, linked words used to do so. Here are the rules for effective linking:

7) Proactively look for link partners that have sites similar in theme to your own. This does not mean that it has to be another church website, but make sure there is some common ground between the two. For instance, your church could link to a bookseller, provided that bookseller’s focus is books related to your beliefs, denomination, etc. The more closely related to your site the link partner is, the better, though even distantly related is better than none.

8) Look for opportunities for one-way links to your site from similarly themed sites. This is the highest value link, one where a site like yours links to you, without you linking back. They carry far greater search-engine value and should be treated like gold when you can get them.

9) Make certain that the anchor text (or linked text) to your site, on their site, is the actual key phrase for which you want to rank well. Repeat that key phrase in the description area if the linking site allows for it.

10) Be aware of the Google page rank of the site with which you are link exchanging. The higher their page rank, the more their link to you is worth. Treat any link with a page rank of four, or higher, as valuable; it is.

11) Don’t link to sites that are not somehow related to yours. This not only carries little value, it can potentially damage your rankings because unrelated site links appear artificial to search-engine spiders.

12) Sparingly provide outbound one-way links; avoid them altogether, if possible. Outbound one-way links benefit the outside site, but not your own. You at least want a link exchange.

If you follow these 12 simple rules, you’ll find your church site indexed and well-ranked with minimal effort!

Benefits of Social Media Optimization for Websites

Although it has been around for sometime in our society, social media optimization (SMO) is a new concept in the field of website marketing. Men are social creatures and have a craving to stay with like-minded people. These like-minded people form a group and eventually lead to a society. Similar concepts are followed in the online world.

Previous Techniques

Previously, online marketing techniques were different. Webmasters used different SEO techniques for getting top ranks in search engines. High rank made it a possibility for their website to come in the visibility of their desired audience. Eventually, it could lead to monetary benefits. However with social media optimization, you can reach every corner of the globe both as an individual and a company.

Single Platform For Dissimilar Business Minds

Facebook.com, del.icio.us, Furl, technorati, digg, bloglines.com and similar other online social forums provide us with an excellent opportunity for promoting businesses in a methodical manner. The cliché behind the success of these types of websites is their ability to accommodate different types of business minds on a single platform.

Platform For Harnessing Your Business Skill

These domains allow intermingling of two different people having similar interests and business needs. Business owners can earn valuable tips from different posts, which are put up by experts of their field, for improving their business strategies and eventually making the desired profits. Simultaneously, they can post their own problems for getting solution from these experts.

Affordable Method Of Globalizing Your Business

Apart from finding out tips, SMO helps business owners in making their products affordable and the company name visible to the global market. In return, they get clients in large number from the same forum and through the reference of the former. Henceforth, you are making friends and extracting cash from similar location at the same time.

Social media have changed the entire networking field from top to bottom and have brought the whole world to just the click of a button. If you have the desire to promote your business with minimum or sometimes no investment, SMO is the perfect ingredient for your recipe.

How Link Pop Affects Your Website’s Page Rank

What is Link Pop?

Link popularity, sometimes referred to as “Link Pop,” plays a very important role in determining a website’s visibility among the top returned search results.  Your site’s link pop will be determined by the quality, quantity, and relevance of the other websites that link to your page.

What is Page Rank?

“Page Rank,” sometimes abbreviated PR, was developed by Google’s founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.  Here is how Google describes the “Page Rank” system:
Page Rank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important.”
Important, high-quality sites receive a higher Page Rank, which Google remembers each time it conducts a search. Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don’t match your query. So, Google combines Page Rank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term appears on a page and examines all aspects of the page’s content (and the content of the pages linking to it) to determine if it’s a good match for your query.
Page Rank is rated on a scale of PR-0 to PR-10.  A site with a ranking of PR-10 is much higher than one rated PR-0.  When a site has a high page ranking, there will be more opportunities for search engine users to locate and view the site.  Thus, more traffic will be routed to that site because it is viewed by the web community as a valuable resource.

What Does This Mean For You?

In theory, the more “popular” a website is, the higher its PR will be.  Here’s a quick recap on how to sustain strong “link pop” and Google PR:

To Improve Your “Link Pop”:

“    Generate as many one-way, non-reciprocal links as possible.  Make sure your link is listed by credible websites ONLY.
“    Your “Link Pop” can be improved when the websites that link to yours have a higher Google PR than you do.  This is considered a heavily weighted “vote” towards your site.  However, do make sure to link to pages with various PR’s.
“    Create reciprocal links with websites that are relevant to yours.  If your website sells cat toys, link to a pet lover’s site, and cat-sitting service, etc.

It Doesn’t Matter If:

“    You provide one-way links to other sites that are relevant to yours.  As long as you don’t have too many uncategorized links, this will not hurt your site’s “Link Pop”; however, it does not directly contribute to improving it.

Tips to Avoid Diminishing Your Site’s PR:

“    Do not submit your website to “Link Farms” or “Free-For-All” (FFA) directories.  Google views these as spam sites and will thus lower your PR.
“    Exchanging links with irrelevant websites can lower your PR.  ONLY reciprocate links with similar credible sources.  Just think: “Is this valuable to my readers?”
“    Make sure to vary your links.  A reciprocal-link campaign with no non-reciprocals tells Google your site isn’t worthy of one-way links.

The bottom line: A strong “Link Pop” and “Page Rank” equals more visitors to your website!

And a great way to increase your websites link popularity is to submit your website to free link directories.
Submit your website to 300+ link directory fast and easy with the <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.directorysubmitter.com”>Directory Submitter</a>

How The Google Sandbox Can Effect New Websites Page Rankings

Google, one of the Internet’s most commonly used search engine, has a little known feature that can affect where your website is ranked among its pages. The Google Sandbox is supposedly acting as a ‘probation officer’ for new websites, keeping spam websites from growing too quickly before getting banned and then being resurrected.

It is believed that the probation period for the websites is somewhere between ninety and one hundred twenty days. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with the Google sandbox is that website keywords don’t always show up in Google searches and causes the site to less than optimal traffic and links regardless of the quality of the content.

The Google sandbox was initiated in an effort to weed out spamming websites and to keep them from adding their own bought links. It was to also keep them from getting ranked too high on the pages, thereby cluttering up the search engine. Sites that had too many links pointing back to it has been labeled as suspicious by Google, and summarily banned.

Some sites even used nefarious tactics to rise to the top of the search results, thereby violating Google’s Terms of Services, and being banned. The problem that occurred was that within a short period of time, these sites would reappear and the entire process of rising to the top and being banned started all over again. Hence the need for a ‘probation officer’.

Back in March of 2004, website owners began to notice that websites launched after this date didn’t rank very high in the ratings even though they used optimization techniques and had strong incoming links.

It has been speculated that the Google sandbox doesn’t really exist, but the company has all but come out and admitted that they are using this filter. Websites that were launched prior to the implementation of the filter have probably never been reviewed the by the filter.

Sites with competitive keywords and phrases are at the most risk for spending some time under the sandbox scrutiny. If an owner does a keyword search for their site and doesn’t see it in the most important searches, then their site is probably in the sandbox. If the owner does not see their site when they secondary keyword searches, and it has no page rank whatsoever, their site may be suffering a penalty imposed on them by Google.

While joining Google programs – such as AdWords or Adsense – will help drive traffic to the websites while they are in the sandbox, it will not help the site get free of the filter any sooner or keep from being scrutinized in the first place. There is no way to get free of the Google sandbox until the probation period is over. Website owners, however, are not entirely helpless during this time.

While their site is in the sandbox, they can add new incoming links to the site, fix up and continue optimizing the content, and even launching the site unfinished. By doing that, their site will no longer be under scrutiny by the time it is completely live. Owners may find that their page rankings are still weaker then expected, but this will change as they continue to tweak their content and allow other users to search for and find their page.

While the Google sandbox may seem to be a hindrance, it is, in reality, a positive tool. By putting websites on probation in an effort to stem the tide of spamming sites and eliminating them when found, the sandbox is actually giving legitimate live sites a chance to flourish instead of being buried by fakes.

Google Page Rank Is It Relevant To Your Websites Placement?

What is Google Page Rank and how does it affect me you ask. Google Page Rank is a website score that represents how important a websites relevance is in the category of business they represent. Google gets this score from measuring the amount of quality links pointing to your site from other websites with the same relevance. If you have a link to your website from another website with a Google Page Rank of 5 and is relevant to the subject matter your company represents, then Google sees that as a quality link. If you can get your link on a homepage of a high ranking website that is relevant to yours, then you will get a higher score than putting it on a sub page of the site which will usually get a lower Page Rank.

Google usually makes a major Page Rank update every three to four months. Its servers around the globe have to compare there information and the Page Rank is not complete until all of Googles servers have been updated with the new Page Rank scores.

The Page Rank is measured from 1 to ten one being the lowest score and ten being the highest you can have. New sites and sites that have not had any search engine optimization applied to them will have a score of 0. If you use Mozilla Firefox for browsing you can install a new add called SEO Quake. This tool will allow you to see how many links you have in Google and Yahoo. It will show you the sites page rank and when the site was registered. You can do a search in Google for new music for example. The free results will show up with all the link info and page rank score below the text listing. You can compare all the sites for yourself and can make a partial determination that the Google Page Rank is still a large factor is determining your placement for targeted keywords in the free listings.

I currently manage the SEO campaigns for 27 successful websites and have noticed my Google placement on all staying consistent in their positions as Yahoo and MSN positions continue to rise. Google has made several updates on my back link quality and count on each site but I see little movement in the sites placement since April when the last PR update was performed. The page rank is more than just a number and if it is that irrelevant than Google has not made many other major updates on its server since April either.

Just remember, optimize your site for your customers first and for the search engines second. You can get plenty of traffic using the wrong keywords but visitors will see your site is not what they were looking for when they get there. A few quality back links are more relevant than a bunch of non relevant back links. Use common sense and consider what your customers are looking for and what they expect to see when they get to your website.
