Google will announce today a visual search? UPDATE
[UPDATE:] The announcement surrounded by Google Instant Search , which displays the results as the user enters a query.
[END UPDATE]
started yesterday with Google Doodle, always changing and entertainment brands represented on the search page. I got a tip that the Google home page describes the cool physics-based doodle. Odd, I thought, why would someone send me a tip on the Google homepage? I checked it and saw a series of colored circles, the type you see on Big G on Twitter creating a logo, but a jump in different directions, when I hovered my cursor over them. Hmmm. Ive never seen anything like them.
Then tweet with Google Boisterous doodle today. This may excited about the week
Oh so unusual design means something or represents an event, probably in the search for meeting today in SF.
Ten hours later, another tweet Our doodles are dressing in the brightest colors something exciting coming very soon
Oh, now that sounds exciting. But this morning when I went to see what it doodles, I think, simple, monochrome Google:
Register is leaning towards AJAX of the Google search results pages, and one of the readers points out that these instructions appear to be directed to John Dalton, the man known for his research on blindness Color . It really is not strange that a deeper look at the way here, as Google is known for Judging by their logo of meaningful pictures .
So I wonder, will this ad have anything to do with Google Like.com ? Visual search can? And there may be achieved, and the integration of technology is probably shortly after the purchase is unlikely(pun intended). It looks like most other bloggers write on the idea, AJAX, and I am content to assume that analysis. Still it is fun to guess at possibilities. Well know more later today , after an accident in the Google art museum. I would say that sounds like a good place to look for visual.

SEO Marketing For Google Update
There is a lot of talk in the town regarding the latest Google update, which has been nick named as Jagger. Jagger is a 3-part Google update that has changed some of the important rules of determining page rank and this has affected the SEO community in its entirety.
The new Google update has affected the website page ranking and the key areas, which have got affected are:
Your web page history
Method for counting back links
Web site content and structure
Let us look at each one of the affected areas.
Your web page history
One of the important aspects driving Google ranking is the history of your site. If your website has been online for a longer duration then your chances of getting a better page ranking is higher. If a particular internal page from your website has been live for a longer period of time then it will have a better page rank for additional phrases.
So you will have to consider the amount of time your website has been live. In such a scenario, you should approach the promotion of a competitive phrase by selecting secondary phrases that will also contain the primary keyword. For example, you need to choose “guaranteed SEO services” against “SEO services”. You will achieve a good ranking on Google for a relevant keyword phrase and at the same time, keep your efforts on building relevant links for your primary keyword phrase.
So if you have competitive phrases as well as a long website history then you stand a better chance at getting high rankings on Google.
Method for counting backlinks
According to the Google update, the history of the links on your site will also get importance while determining the page rank. According to the Google update, the sandbox regarding links are functioning in parts and after a certain period, the links will gain a considerable part of their weight, and after some more time, they will gain some more weight and it will go on. This basically means that if you pursue a link building campaign today then it will not substantially affect your Google rankings for quite some time. Because Google does not show all incoming links you may want to consider using yahoo to check your back linking.
Another important aspect is that the relevancy determining criteria has improved. According to Google, your web pages don’t need to have content with the exact keyword phrase but the keyword phrase has to be relevant to your industry. So if you are running a SEO business and if you link your website to that of a website design & development company then the link will be a relevant link.
Another aspect that has gained momentum is natural links. If your links are within the content area of a web page then they will carry a lot more weight than isolated links.
Website content & structure
Another important thing noticed by SEO experts is that there is no change in the optimal keyword density but there has been a decline in its value. Although the importance of having a specific keyword density on a particular webpage has declined but on the other hand there has been an increase in the importance of relevancy.
Google is going to assign relevancy on your overall content and not for keyword specific content on a particular page. There will be a higher visibility for topic-specific directories as against general directories. If your website has a central theme that is carried throughout the website then your web site will have a better page rank.
Google has also added a lot of value or weight on internal links as far as relevancy is concerned. If the internal links are well worded and are built into the entire content of your web site then it will impact your ranking by adding more weight to the internal pages.
The bottom line is that although this is not the perfect Google update on page ranking but it will make sure that people can’t have their websites higher on the page rank by buying links or cramming their web pages with keywords.

Google Update: A Test For Keyword Dominance
Google is one of the most popular search engines on the Internet today. According to statistics about 50 to 80 percent of searches made by users worldwide are being done on Google. That is probably one reason why most Internet marketing strategy, either search engine optimization or pay-per-click, consider every action done by Google as vital factor.
How so? Well, Google works by “spidering” or “crawling” web sites. Once this is done, the web sites are then added to the Google “index”. This index is pretty much like a phonebook, it is Google’s very own list of pages on the Internet. After that, Google performs several operations on the information they had accumulated. Eventually, it decides where each page will appear on the list of results for searches.
Every once in a while Google would start using a new index for its search results. This time is called the “Google Update”. Currently, the Google updates occur about once in a month. It usually takes a few days and is quite an anticipated and dreaded event for most site owners, since this is the time when their listing in Google changes. Is it for the better or for worse? You be the judge.
Now, the latest Google update has gained the nickname “Jagger”. It is probably due to the fact that it is causing major distress to site owners all over the globe. Why you ask? Well, like what happens in most Google updates, an initial period of movement in ranking position has recently occurred.
As with every algorithm update, Google attempts to take out the spam from its database. So what kind of changes had been made as a result of this update? Only the Google engineers have the answer to that. But, there are some factors which seem to be important in this update. For instance, hidden text spam seems to be taking quite a hit. Whereas most search engines consider white text on white background spamming, it seems that Google has now also take text that is hidden in invisible CSS layers. Another noticeable change is that links from automated link exchanges and text link advertising systems seem to count less.
But, before you picture the worst case scenario remember that this is pretty natural. Soon enough things will get back to normal. Google updates may last barely a day or it might take as long as 8 weeks, depending on how extensive the update is. After all, Google have about 16 to 24 billion web pages in its database, so they probably need some time.
While the Google update is still ongoing, site owners will probably see their search engine results change from day to day. But there is still no need to panic! For any given key phrase the ranking results may drop from 1 to 100, or vise versa. Either way, do not get use to them yet. These are just temporary results and will change once things settle down. So in order to put your fears to rest check your Google Page Rank and see if it has moved as well. If it remained the same then you can be certain that the key phrases will pull through. But, if your PR has also dropped just like your key phrase ranking then it may be time to take a closer look to see what is going on.
So how do you deal with this latest update? First of all, do not panic. If your site rankings dropped, give it another week just to be sure that the index update is really over. Now if your site is still no where to be found, then its time for some serious consideration. What do you think went wrong?
For example, if you use CSS in order to hide text on your web pages think about removing those hidden text. If you use other techniques that Google might consider a spam, then remove them from your pages immediately.
If you have a links page, instead of using a link exchange system with a central server why not host your link pages on your own site. If you are part of a centralized system your site will be at risk if the centralized system is considered spam.
Once you have removed the spam elements from your pages, there are two things that you can do in order to tide you over from this crazy phase. First, optimize your site. Consider using “IBP’s Top 10 Optimizer” in order to optimize your web pages for the new Google algorithm. This optimizer utilizes the current ranking algorithm and will help you to determine which web page elements Google wants to see on a web page for your keyword and your web site.
The second thing you can do is to expand your promotion efforts. Consider trying out other search engines. Do not put all eggs in one basket. Even if you did manage to get high rankings on Google, it’s still a better idea not to rely on Google alone.
Why not try Yahoo and MSN? They are also quite popular among users and can bring you qualified traffic. After all, the key to a successful online business is to get qualified traffic from all big search engines. If your site has good rankings on the other search engines then dropping out on one will not have much effect on you.
Keep in mind that Google updates their Page Rankings a couple of times a year. Regardless of your position it is still highly anticipated, because it can be a good barometer that can help you gauge your site.
With the ever changing factors to Google’s obscure ranking algorithm remember that you are not alone in this. If your site has suffered lower ranking so have millions of other web site owners out there. So, sit back and relax. Once the update is over and thing settle down again you will be able to see just exactly where you stand. Then you can adjust your SEO plan accordingly, and resume your pursuit of gaining key phrase dominance!

How My Page Rank Went From 0 to 5 in One Update. How Yours Can Too
Increase Your Google Page Rank!
This article will put a damper on web sites that sell information which will supposedly increase your page rank. I may make some enemies here, but this is already common knowledge. In fact, to make sure it worked, I designed a new site just for this purpose. Before you shell out money for an eBook, software, or CD telling you how to do this; read this article. If you achieve great results after following my advice and feel it was worth some money, feel free to write me a check for any amount you choose. I ‘ll add my own zeros.ƒº
Page Rank. We all know what is. We all want to rank higher. Higher rankings mean a lot of things to a lot of people. To web masters it means achievement. They have accomplished a move in the right direction. A high page rank to a website owner is money in the bank. It is also an impressive accomplishment. To other website owners your page rank may be a source of envy.
To Google your page rank means quality, importance and relevancy. It lets Google know you are a viable resource and a valuable asset. Google takes your Page Rank and combines it with their text-matching techniques. This, combined with a page¡¦s content and the content of the pages linking to it, determines if your site is a good match. So, a higher Page Rank will certainly help you on Google.
As for surfers. Most of them could care less about your Page Rank. In fact, many of them don’t even know what it is. However, those that do use it in a different way. Some use it as a way to unofficially gauge your credibility.
Ok, I am sure you’ve been wondering when I was going to tell you about how to achieve a ranking like I did. I went from a 0 Page Rank to a 5. Now, mind you, I did not purchase any links from high ranking sites, or any sites for that matter. I did not launch a link exchange program. I did exchange links with about five directories related to my site¡¦s topic, but that was it. Actually, 97% of my links are all one-way links (links pointing to my site).
So, how did I do it? Any ideas? If you know SEO you may already know the answer.
Link Farms? Of, course not. We know Google will frown on that method. Did I design or optimize sites and add my URL? Hmmm..Yes! However, that is a small percent of the success. SEO companies don¡¦t usually add their URL to sites they have optimized. Ok, so what else?
Content? Yes, content is king as always. Content is what was used to help boost my ranking. But how?
I create articles. These are quality articles, just like the one you are reading now. These articles were not generated from any program. I authored the content from my own knowledge and researched over 100 web sites that accept articles in my area of expertise. SEO happens to be a very popular topic. These sites agree to post my articles on their site, along with my url(s). Many of these sites have a decent Page Rank of their own. Their rank will transfer over to my site. Also, as time goes by, those articles will have a PR effect of their own which will transfer to my site(s). Don¡¦t forget, other people may pick these articles up and use them on their site as well. They will also include my URL(s) on their sites. Now, if I do 100 sites a week times four articles a month, that’s at least 400 articles a month. The last Google update was 86 days, the longest has been 111. That could lead to 1200 or more links between updates. What will Google think about all these links at once? They¡¦ll love it! Content, quality, one way links. I also promoted my blogs and my website in some of my articles. This way, they too have their own PR generating effect. They also link to my site and my site to them. This, in turn, increased the PR to them as well. At the time of this article and the most recent Google update, one of my blogs went from 0 to 3 and the other 0 to 4 all in the same update.
These tips should help you increase your page rank. The hardest part will be creating content related to your field and finding sites that will post your work. You can always hire writers and/or article submission services. Here’s to the next Google update. Cheers!
Is Google Planning Another Page Rank Update?
Those of you that pay attention to the Google Page Rank are still waiting for another Google update. Itâs been almost 90 days since the last Google update and word around the web is that Google should be doing another mass update in August.
Many of you built new sites in the beginning of 2007 and still have no Google page rank after all the hard work you put into building out quality back links, optimizing and adding new pages, and every other tedious detail involved with properly optimizing your site for the engines.
Well the word is that the wait is almost over. Google will be updating all its servers and handing out grades in the near future. All the speculation about what will work and wonât work for the best results in your sites placement are about to show themselves.
Once the Google page rank update starts, it will take a couple of weeks to complete so you will probably see some fluctuation in your page rank on different pages of your site for a while but things will settle down and your new page rank will be good until the next update.
Will your Google page rank go up or down on the next massive Google update, only time will tell. If you have done all the work required to rank well, then you will mostly be rewarded a pretty reasonable Google page rank and the other search engine will follow right behind the master.
Until next time,
Shawn Hickman
Analyzing Google Page Rank Update
Google page rank updates are a blessing for some and a curse for others. Whenever Google update the Page Rank, it is displayed on their toolbar and during every update it causes an unfortunate stir within the SEO community as webmasters use all the rules in the book to get their website amongst the top Google rankings.
For those of you who are new to this, Page Rank is basically a type of ranking or a score that sets your website aside from the other websites on the Internet. The factor that drives page ranking is the total number of links pointing towards your website and their value. The value of these links is calculated depending on the PageRank of the web pages that has those links.
You can always visit google.com/technology/ for more information on page rank, the technology, and, basic of links.
The current PageRank update is expected to cause quite a stir because many websites will display considerable drops in their PageRank and at the same time the same websites will also show significant increase in the number of back links. This fact basically reveals the occurrence of one of the following:
1. This may have happened because Google raised the bar/score on PageRank. This can make it difficult for websites to maintain the same ranking with the current score.
2. The method of displaying back links has been changed
3. The method of calculating the value of any incoming link has been changed
Raising The Bar: Google
From the last few updates, most SEO experts can make out that Google has been raising the bar constantly on their PageRank. This is being seen as a majot change especially in the light of events where websites have attained higher page rank by buying hundred of links. The current Google Page rank update is also driven by this factor.
The New Calculations
There are many websites, which have shown an increase in backlinks and the fact of the matter is that Google doesn’t show all the backlinks. You can find an accurate count of backlinks on any website from Yahoo by entering yourdomain.com.
For example, if a particular website is showing 700 backlinks on Google as of now then if you check on Yahoo, you will found more than 10,000 backlinks. In a way, it is safe to say that a website’s change in page rank is not caused due to Google showing lesser number of back links.
The real value of a link
The value of a link seems to have played an important role in the change in Google Page rank update. The various areas, which display a reduced value of a link include:
Multiple links from a single site
Textual links like “Partners”, etc.
Links from low relevancy sites
If you are among those who have lost their current page ranking and have gone even lower then the first thing that you need to do is build good quality links or high relevancy links. It will be another three months before the next Google page rank update. If you have increased you page rank so far by buying thousands of links then it’s time to look for another strategy – amore promising strategy.

Google Page Rank Update
Well it finally happened, the Google Page rank update. Google updated all of my page ranks on all of the sites I manage the search engine optimization for. I am happy to say that none of my page ranks haven fallen and several have gained one or two places.
Google’s last page rank update was in April and many webmasters have been waiting since the last update to reap the rewards of all the hard work they have put in optimizing pages, building quality back links, adding continuous fresh content, and holding their breaths.
I haven’t seen any keyword placement movement since the new Google update but it may take up to two full weeks to see how significant the Google page rank still is to search engines like Yahoo and MSN.
I believe Google page rank is still relevant and will impact millions of websites around the world. The Google page rank is a calculation of various areas of your sites worth and as Google adjust its algorithm to come up with the best possible score for your websites value in the market your are trying to place in again.
Many of you are now seeing page ranks on new sites that have had a score of zero for several months. Others of you have see your great page rank go down, which may hurt your overall placement only time will tell.
I have seen the results of page ranks dropping on Text Link sites due to selling of these links but haven’t seen the punishment Google is said to be giving out to people who purchase these links for their sites. I am sure Google is weighing the cheating factor and grading the sites accordingly.
Now that a new Google page rank has been made, don’t stop optimizing your site planning to wait until the last minute to spam the system. Continue working hard as even more and more competitors are coming online as we speak. Do what’s best for your customer and the search engines usually follow right along.
Good content, placing your links in the right places, and streamlining your met tags will always payoff in the end. Remember in search engine optimization, you have to be patient, be diligent, and know that your are targeting the right keywords and audience for your business.
Until the next big Google update, take care of your business and your business will take care of you.
