Why Optimizing is Important – Title Tags
Why Optimizing is Important – Title Tags
While doing niche and keyword research with one of my favorite tools, Ad Word Analyzer, I did a search on the keyword “optimizing”. One of the keyword phrases Ad Word Analyzer brought up under the search on optimizing was “optimizing title tags page”. Not that this phrase is unique in any way, but the results were different enough that they caught my eye. Any Internet marketer will tell you search engine optimization or SEO, is a hot topic because without proper SEO, targeted traffic to your Adword ads, website or blog is non-existent.
What caught my eye about the keyword phrase “optimizing title tags pages”, were the amount of searches done last month and the results Google produced for “optimizing title tags page”. One thousand four hundred and ten people searched with the keywords “optimizing title tags page” last month and Google produced a grand total of four results. Four results for “optimizing title tags pages” on the whole of Google. These results were not much help to people searching “optimizing title tags page”.
Ad Word Analyzer is great tool for locating these anomalies when doing market research on a new niche, keywords or for article writing. What this search revealed to me is there must be a sufficient amount of confusion when it comes to SEO. One thousand four hundred and ten people searched “optimizing title tags page” with only four results. There also were no Google Adwords ads. Some may think they have no idea what Google Adwords are, but they really do since any person that has used Google has seen Google Adwords ads on the right side of any Google page. These ads, located on the right side of any Google page, are Google Adwords ads. Advertisements put their by Internet marketers to sell us products and services. Not one Google Adwords ad was accounted for when people searched “optimizing title tags page”.
Most importantly, the people that searched “optimizing title tags page” were probably looking for help optimizing meta tags. Internet marketers know that meta tag optimization is a minimal factor now that SEO hinges on relevancy and fresh new content for optimal page rank among the search engines. This is why I believe there is a total absence of Google Adword ads when someone searches “optimizing title tags page”. Internet marketers get charged per click each time their ad is clicked by a web surfer. So it is in the best interest of the Internet marketer to do his research and optimize his Google Adwords ad for specific and targeted traffic. Wasted clicks can be financially devastating to a Google Adwords campaign.
One other lucrative point that Ad Word Analyzer revealed to me that succeeded in motivating me to research this anomalie further. One thousand four hundred and ten people searched the keyword phrase “optimizing title tags page” last month and I am sure about the same amount of people will do the same this month. Which means there is a market out there of people that need information to bring them up to speed on search engine optimization. Ad Word Analyzer is warming up for my next Google Adwords campaign targeting these people.

Google Tags your Site as Harmful
Google has started with tagging the sites that are reported of linking themselves to badwares or hosting a badwares in the site. Oh ok, badwares, they define it as malicious software that tracks your moves online and feeds that information back to shady marketing groups so that they can ambush you with targeted ads. The trickiest part of the badware is that you may not know that you downloaded it. Some badware manufacturers bundle it with other programs without disclosing that it’s part of the package. Others put their programs on your PC when you visit certain websites or play online games.
Google has introduced this to make the Google visitor feel comfortable and safer while surfing in Google. Whenever badware site is indexed in the search, you will notice a warning stating that “This site may harm your computer” some thing similar as shown in the search result below:
http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/710/harmsitepx5.jpg
As well as it wouldn’t take you to the site directly from Google, instead, it would take you to a warning page which looks similar to this:
http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/307/warmingvn7.jpg
The efforts from Google are genuine and would help our computers from getting affected with badwares that can harm our computers. But, as my Sir (Mr. Pankaj Trivedi) used to say that never a system can be perfect, especially when it is introduced, that is obvious to have some bugs and loop holes in the starting stage. There are cases when Google false positive for some sites. Just imagine if that is your site, it would drop down your visitor traffic and I know there are major sites that have 90% traffic coming from Google. If I am a visitor, I would definitely not try to visit your site if I see a warning “This site may harm your computer”; there are several other results before me, I would try one of them and avoid visiting your site. That would loose your traffic and image in internet world in no time. I had one of my clients facing the same, so make sure you take below steps if you find such warning in the search results of your site.
1. There is no direct way to remove the warning at the earliest.
2. File a request of review at http://www.stopbadware.org/home/review.
3. Make sure your site is not infected with any badware.
4. Check all the new scripts installed.
5. Check with your host for any hacking attempts.
I think this much should let your site removed from the listing.

Using Html Header Tags To Improve Your Google Seo Rankings
Most web developers have discounted a fundamental element in getting good SEO Results. Using Header tags within your HTML page is paramount. For example, if your page is about apples, and you have properly configured all your Meta and title tags to match the file name and content of the page, the next obvious step is to create relevant header (h1, h2, h3, etc.) tags.
Using the right combination of h1, h2, h3, etc. tags can be a daunting task. Don’t worry, we are here to help you dimistify the process. Keeping all of your h tags relevant to the title, meta description, meta keyword and content is paramount. Plan your strategy well before trying to sit down to write each of these elements. For example, if your web page is about apples, your meta tag should descibe the type of apples, and your title should list the type of apples.
For example, a webpage about apples would be names apples.html
Then the meta tag description could be something like: We recommend red, delicious apples as a source of vitamins which also contain antioxidants to help you lose weight. (granted the meta description will be in-line not only with the content of the page but ideally, also the content of the web site)
The meta keyword and title would list apples: Apples Red Apples Delicious Apples (try to put keywords that match words in the meta description.
Then the h1 tag would list within the page the special atributes of apples. Perhaps aptly named Apples are Healthy and Delicious
An h2 tag would then focus on each individual quality of apples, for example: Apples are Healthy Snacks
Another h2 tag could be: Apples are delicious.
You should quickly see a pattern emerging here. We use all the elements of a web page to help focus the overall theme of the page: Apples. Use common sense, it will be your best ally.
