But what if you only want to see results for affiliate marketing, GPT, e-commerce etc but not for MLM? You can refine your search like this: online marketing opportunities -MLM. This will tell Google to exclude anything related to MLM and display results only for all other online marketing opportunities. One thing to remember – the syntax uses a space between your search keyword and the minus sign. If you do not include the space, it will only act as hyphenated word.
2. Search for exact phrase.
Syntax: “keyword phrase”
If you are looking for an exact phrase, without substituting any part of the phrase with synonyms, and do not want Google to insert any other words between your phrase, simply put double quotes around you phrase. By doing so, Google will only display results that match your phrase 100%, and match the word order of your phrase exactly.
3. Search for exact match.
Syntax: +keyword
This is similar to double quotes, but allows you to specify a single word from your phrase that you want to match 100%. Consider this: affiliate marketing opportunities +NY. The results will match NY exactly and will not use any synonyms for the keyword NY. It will not display results where NY is spelled out as New York, NYC etc. One thing to remember: The plus sign mus be right before the word you want to match, with no space in between. If you place a space between the + and the word, it will act as query addition, not as exact match.
4. Substitute words with wildcard.
Syntax: *
Many times, you do not know the exact phrase. In that case, you can substitute parts of the * wildcard. This can be also useful if you want to include several terms into one phrase. Consider this: affiliate * opportunities. This will result in Google substituting the * sign with any words. For example, it will display searches that include word ‘online’, ‘offline’, ‘marketing’, ‘money making’ etc.
5. Search within a website.
Syntax: keyword site:NameOfTheWebsite
With this search you can search for your keyword within a specific web site. The search results will not display any results from any other site, even if the results are the same (for example, the same article posted on different web sites). Consider this: affiliate marketing site:WarriorForum. This displays all results that include keywords affiliate marketing from WarriorForum web site. Normally, you can perform these searches on forums themselves, however, this syntax works also for sites and blogs that do not have search implemented in them. And there is one more cool trick you can do with this – you can search within all web sites with specific extension. For example affiliate marketing site:.edu will display results for affiliate marketing only from .edu web sites.
Use these five simple queries, combine them and experiment with them, and soon enough, you and Google searches will be in sync. You will save lots of time sorting through results you were not looking for. And as we all know – time is money.

It’s not so long ago that I used to subscribe to the notion that AOL and Yahoo believed they owned the Internet and had the right to control it. The over-the-top war on spam a clever smoke screen whilst out monitors were pumped with pop-ups that generated millions.
During the last couple of years however, it seems ownership of the Internet has been surrendered to a new overlord! And we should all point our prayer mats to face Mountain View CA. Or should we?
For those of us involved in any form of search engine optimization, we are led to believe that if our websites are not recognised and accepted by our new master, then we are doomed to failure. There are currently hundreds of tutorials available on the internet which offer tips, tricks and secret formulae in making our pages “Google-Friendly”, and in a format that is acceptable to this Search Engine Giant. Yet who knows what is acceptable to Google and what is not?
Google’s algorithm changes are becoming more and more unpredictable and this deceit presents the potential for high damage to your profitability at short notice. In their Company Profile, Google claims that their mission is to “organize the world’s information, and make it universally accessible and useful”. Now look at position 3 on page 1. Homecrafts Direct with a page rank of 0/10 and again quite limited in it’s relevancy. If you now go to page 8 (A place we are led to believe has little chance of being noticed) At position one on the day of writing is SimplyBaskets.com, a beautifully presented, informative webpage, with a Google Pagerank of 4/10, specializing in “Basket Weaving”. It is clear from this simple exercise, which can be demonstrated using practically any search term you choose, that Google’s awesome search techniques don’t really work as well as they would like to imagine they do. Perhaps it’s their own constant meddling of protocol that will eventually expose them.
So why do we need Google? Does being ranked by Google make a difference? It would appear that one of the biggest, if not the most visited website on the Internet, Amazon.com don’t fare any better than the rest of us where Google are concerned. They have a Google Pagerank of 0/10, and my Link Popularity Check software tells me that Google return no pages that link to Amazon.com – I find it difficult to believe that the “world’s Largest Search Engine” does not recognize it’s links back to Amazon.Com
The word Google is a play on the word “Googol”, the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros, and whilst Google’s founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, coined it to reflect their company’s mission to organise an immense amount of information, I believe that the company’s new agenda is to organise that amount of dollars into their bank account.
I do however swear that they will get no help from me in so doing! I am now cured of my Google adoration fixation, and set about my SEO duties treating all search engines the same. One can do little more than present an informative, attractive and useful website, with Meta Tags to help all search engines. The Internet belongs to us all, and hopefully it will stay that way for the forseeable future.

After buying the Google SEO Magic I soon had traffic coming in, but it wasn’t quite what I expected. There were certainly some surprises along the way that everyone needs to know about before they buy it.
Although you have to go through the trouble of messaging your click bank receipt number to Antonio Coleman on you tube to get your user name and password to the videos, the process viewing the product is quick. Once I started watching the videos in the member section, things got very interesting and some helpful things are exposed.
When I signed up for Google SEO Magic, I was skeptical about how this product could show me how to get front page ranking on Google in 24 hours, especially since there weren’t many testimonials out there about the product. It turns out that it actually does show you methods to get on the first page of Google but it’s not all equal in Google search engine.

This is a serious matter, can Google really deliver top quality
search results for other countries? The answer so far is “sort
of”. In this article I will use Canada as an example of the
quality or lack of thereof, that is delivered by Google’s search
results.
Let’s take a look at Canadian search results by Google.ca:
When you highlight “Canada” through Google search results and
then start searching, you may be surprised at the amount of
companies that aren’t really Canadian. All of this also applies
for the UK and other major markets as well…
In fact, many of the “paid results” come from American
companies. Now some would argue that this is to be expected,
coming from American companies with large budgets but I would
disagree because a lot of the bulk of the “Canadian specific”
results are also American companies.
It is quite evident that this is a growing concern with business
owners residing in different countries.
As an owner not from the US, I would rather compete with
companies that are more local than not, simply because the
results would then be relevant. Irrelevant results equal to poor
results and less people take the search results seriously when
they keep sifting through poor quality results online.
For example; If you highlight “search in Canada” and search for
“web design“, the top 2 results seem not to be from Canada. This
is a serious issue. What if people click on “I’m feeling lucky”,
they are redirected to a company outside of Canada. The average
person won’t know what to think about that and may disregard
searching through Canadian results any further.
The more content specific the results are, the more people will
search through those results. The more people will tell their
friends & peers to search through those results. See, as web
marketers, we do have the power to create a search term that
people get familiar with. Just look at “Blogging”. A couple of
years ago, if you asked people to search online for “blogging”
sites, you would have had a lot of confused faces staring at
you. Nowadays, if you search for blogging, there are more than
900,000 results found in Google and to top that off, there is
more than enough paid advertisers as well.
What do we see changing in Google?
The #1 thing we are now seeing more and more is search results
listing websites with country specific domain name extensions.
Here’s what I mean by that….

1) Does the domain name end with .ca? (Ex. www.smartads.ca) 2)
Does the “contact” information about the company match the
country – Street, City, Province/State, Country. Are all of
these factors listed within the contact page?
These are very important factors, evidenced to the fact that, I
see Google weighing your “contact” page higher than anything
else within your website other than your front page. So the
moral is, make sure to list EXACTLY where it is that you do
business within your contact page. Your website will rank higher
for local searching when this technique is utilized.
Second, make sure to buy a domain name(s) that is country
specific. If you live in Canada, buy a domain with the extension
(.ca). If you live in the United Kingdom, make sure to buy a
domain name with the extension (.uk). If you live in the US,
make sure to buy a domain name with the extension (.us).
You may be asking, what if I don’t want to concentrate on just
local searching? Create a separate website to target different
areas. There is nothing with .com, in fact most people
automatically type in .com but, if you truly want to target
locally, you have to play locally.
The future of search engines is local searching! We are seeing
an increasing amount of evidence to sustain this claim.
Targeting locally is a great start and will ultimately help you
to target internationally later on!
