Dominate Google Rankings Quick and Easy!
Dominate Google Rankings Quick and Easy!
Does dominating Google rankings quick and easy sound too good to be true? It really isn’t. Following are a bunch of surefire SEO tips that have kept hundreds of my client’s sites on top of Google for years, with new ones every month.
There’s a lot to cover and I hate long articles that drone on so I’ll keep the info short and sweet. Let’s start with the domain name.
Domain Names
Age: Make sure your domain name is at least six months old. If it’s more than a year old, that’s even better. Google often (but not always) likes domains to be at least six months old before indexing the site. How do they know? They use a “whois” database like the one at:
http://www.AllWhoIs.com.
Go there and enter your domain if you want to see what Google (and anyone else in the world) can instantly know about your site.
TLD Type: TLD stands for Top Level Domain, which is to say the letters after the dot. The best ones to have are “.com, .net. .org and .edu.” These get the most play in Google’s top 3 rankings for just about every keyword you can imagine, with “.com” and “.edu” being the best.
Embedded Keywords: If you have your main keyword (and ONLY your main keyword) as a dotcom domain name with even just halfway decent page text and some good inbound links you can usually nail number one on Google for that keyword. I’ve done it dozens of times. It’s a no brainer.
Dashes: Having a dash in your domain name might be bad for branding but it can open whole new doors of opportunity for your search engine optimization efforts. You see Google treats a dash as a null value (almost like a space) and can take them or leave them with equal indifference. So if your main keyword phrase is a few words long, you can place a dash between each word. If that’s taken, just try one dash separating the first and second words but leave the second and third word grouped together. You get the idea. Just keep trying combinations until you have one that works and scoop up the domain. Even if you sit on it for six months, you’ll have it when you want it.
Now on to the next big item; keywords. The best keyword embedded domain name in the world will mean little if nobody is searching for that keyword. That said; let’s find the best keywords possible for your site. Here’s how…
Keywords:
Keywords in Demand: Let’s snoop into Google’s keyword database and find some winners. Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and enter any keyword or phrase you think your target audience is looking for. Now click on the top header link to sort by desired search volume to see which words get the most searches.
Go Long: And don’t be afraid to use longer keywords as long as they get plenty of searches. Not only will this narrow the tasks of your workload for actual optimization but it will open all kinds of new options for finding great (dash laden) domain names and even help cut back on your competition.
Narrow Your Field: Now take the top ten or so relevant keywords and phrases and list them in order of “Approximate Monthly Searches Performed.” You might want to paste the keyword into one column of a spreadsheet and the number of searches into the next column. This next part takes a bit of math so we might as well let Excel do it.
Competition:
Competition; Less is Better: “Less is better.” Well that’s the understatement of the year. But how do you know how much competition you will be up against? It’s easy. Simple division does the trick nicely. Here’s how…
Google It: Go to Google and paste in your first keyword phrase. Look in the upper right area of the page and see how many pages you will be competing against if you try to optimize for that keyword (Results 1 – 10 of about 123,000,000 for “keyword”.) Now record that number in the cell to the right of “searches performed.” You can go ahead and do the same for each keyword. When you have all the info you need have Excel divide the number of “competing pages” by the number of “searches performed.” The lower the resulting ratio; the better your chances. Your best bet is to take the lowest ratio number with the highest number of “searches performed.” This is your optimal target.
Even More: But we’re not done yet! Now find the next best two runnerup keywords and write them down in order of importance. We’ll need them soon.
Content:
The King Lives!: You’re probably sick of hearing it but content really is king. Developing search engine friendly, well optimized content (for REAL people) is key to your success. Google can read a Web page just like a person thanks to its natural text algorithm. So keyword spamming and robotic writing do not work with Google. But here’s what DOES work…
Keep it Real: Call a close friend and tell him or her exactly what you want to tell your web visitors. Then as quick as you can write it down, as close to “word for word” as you can remember. Just let the words flow. You can fix spelling and grammar later.
Fitting In: Now, with your list of three keywords, go back through your text and fit your most important keyword as close to the beginning of the first sentence as possible. Now go ahead and place your number two keyword someplace else toward the beginning of your first paragraph. Your third keyword should go into the beginning of the second paragraph if possible.
Now use only one of your keywords for each of the next three paragraphs. Try to make them fit naturally toward the beginning sentence or two of each paragraph.
Throw in a Curve: Now use a reverse order for the very last paragraph. Put your least important keyword (number 3 pick) at the beginning of the paragraph and your best keyword at the end. This shows consistency (at least as far as Google is concerned.)
Last but not least, do not repeat any keyword more than three or four times on a page. I stick with a 3 x 3 method and it works great (3 keywords each mentioned 3 times over the course of about 9 paragraphs.)
Getting Links and Monitoring Your Site:
Inbound Links: Having high quality inbound links can account for more than 75% of your search engine ranking success. Getting these links is the crucial step that will get you over the top. At the same time you need to monitor your progress and your site’s status (how search engine REALLY see it). This will tell you not just where you are – but where you are likely to be. In the old days, we had to do all of the link work and monitoring by hand. And believe me, it took a long time (I averaged about 16 hours per week; per site!) My advice is to find a good SEO tool and let it do the tough and repetitive work for you. If you get hold of the right product, it’s the best money you’ll ever spend.
I started out with WebPosition Pro and used it for a couple years but switched to another tool that has automated linking, which I find to be the most time-consuming and now most important aspect of SEO on Google. This was probably a good call since Web Position was recently banned by Google for abuse.
Anyway, here are my results for both…
http://www.SE0elite.com Cost = 7 (lifetime free upgrades and no annual fees)
Personal Results: 121 top 5 rankings on Google in 3 weeks – Mostly 1’s and 2’s. Best Features: Finds best link partners; Automates link process; Finds “Google “authority sites.”
http://www.WebPosition.com Cost = 9 WebPosition Pro or 9 Standard (plus per year subscription fees for either)
Personal Results: 44 top 5 rankings in Google in eight weeks – Mostly 3’s and 4’s. Best Features: Site Monitoring (recently banned by Google); Great reporting; Site Critic
Now you’re ready to dominate Google. Good luck!

3 Quick and Easy Ways to Monopolize Google Rankings!
3 Quick and Easy Ways to Monopolize Google Rankings!
I got into SEO back in 1998. Back in the day, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) was much simpler than it is today. Most tricks like blatant keyword spamming and hidden key phrases worked like a champ. Even better, little tricks like these were usually OK to use. Not anymore.
In fact, most old-school tricks don’t work today and many can get your pages banned. This is great news for you. Over the next few minutes I’ll show you how to make Google absolutely LOVE your web pages and help you jump to the top!
Here is what you need to know… Google places about 90% of its ranking priorities on content and links. Keywords are still important, but only in your pages’ content (not the META Tags.)
Sounds simple, right? Definitely! And it really is. First you find the best keywords and place them just right in your web page text. Next you get great inbound links. Then finally, you monitor your progress closely (and competition’s progress.)
Step 1: Find the Best Keywords
Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type in any keyword or phrase you think your target audience is looking for.
Tip: Use specific keyword phrases whenever possible. If you have a Web page dealing with floral delivery, think beyond just the word “flowers”, with its 257,000,000 competing pages on Google and try “sending flowers”, which has fewer than one percent the number of competing pages (at 1,940,000 pages) but plenty of people searching for it each month (“flowers” = 24,900,000 searches last month while “sending flowers” had 9,400,000.) Think about it for a minute… You can compete against less than less than 1% of the pages for about 40% of the possible targeted visitors. Now that’s impressive! You have a huge advantage over 99.5% of your competition with just that single tip.
Now list the top three keywords and keyword phases in order from best to second best and so on. You’ll need this for your content.
Step 2: Develop Killer Content
Content is your most important on page optimization resource. Don’t ever forget that. It is what Google bases your ranking on, AFTER linking that is. Developing search engine friendly, “people optimized” content is vital to your success. Google can read a Web page just like a person does, thanks to natural text algorithms. And they can tell if you are writing your pages for real people or just trying to get higher ranking. Relax. With this tip, you will do both!
First, grab a pen and pad and call a friend. Tell him all about your product or service. You’re talking to a friend so be natural and let it flow. Forget grammar.
Now end the call and write it all down. Write it word for word, as close as you can remember it. If you can record the call, that’s even better.
Next, go through your newly developed page content and fit your top keyword somewhere near the beginning of the first sentence. Now try to find a natural place to insert your number two keyword; hopefully also in the first paragraph. If possible, try to get your third keyword somewhere in the second paragraph.
Now place each of your three keywords in the next three paragraphs; one keyword per paragraph. Just work it in naturally. If it doesn’t fit, don’t force it.
Avoid repeating any given keyword more than four times per page and mix it up a little. Use one of the keywords a little more or less than the others so it does not create a visible pattern.
When you get to your final paragraph at the bottom of the page, be sure to use your most important keyword in the latter half.
Step 3: Get Great Links and Monitor Your Progress
Today, quality inbound links typically account for more than 85% of your Google ranking success. Getting the best possible links is the critical step that will put your Web pages over the top. But don’t stop there! Finding and landing these links is an ongoing task that needs to happen every couple weeks, at the least. Once you are on the right track you need to monitor your progress and your site’s status (how any given search engine actually sees it). This will tell you not just where you are, but also where you are most likely to be. Years ago we had to do all link work and monitoring by hand, and it took a long time. I averaged about 16 hours per week for each site! My advice is to find a good SEO tool and let it do that work for you. If you get hold of the right product, it’s the best money you’ll ever spend.
I used WebPosition for almost three years but switched to another with automated linking, which I personally find the most time consuming part of any SEO project. Both are excellent products for tracking and reporting however (Please note that Google has since banned Web Position due to abuse but it still works great on other search engines and has very nice reporting features and worth considering if you own an SEO company with many clients.)
#1 Pick: http://www.SeoEliteWeb.com
Cost = 7 (actual cost: lifetime free upgrades and no annual fees)
Personal Results: 121 top 5 rankings on Google in 3 weeks; Mostly 1’s and 2’s.
Top Features: Finds best link partners; Automates the link building process; Provides great Site Monitoring on the major search engines including Google.
Comments: The linking alone was enough reason for me to buy it but I have since learned it does a whole lot more. I’m on version 4 after purchasing version 2 in 2005 and getting the free updates since.
#2 Pick: http://www.webposition.com
Cost = 9 WebPosition Pro or 9 Standard (actual cost: add per year subscription fees for either)
Personal Results: 44 top 5 rankings in Google in 8 weeks; Mostly 3’s and 4’s.
Top Features: Site Monitoring; Excellent reporting (but now banned on Google); Site Critic
Comments: I stopped using this one because there were no automated linking capabilities. I did however enjoy the reporting. If you own an SEO company the reporting is great to have but be advised that Google has banned the use of this product against their site and blocks it.
Now you are ready to take on the best of Google and win. Good luck!
Five Quick Tips For Getting Your Blog On The First Page Of Google
Five Quick Tips For Getting Your Blog On The First Page Of Google
It is so easy to make money with a blog. Whether the purpose of your blog is to get traffic to your sales page or to sell affiliate products or to get Adsense clicks, getting your blog onto the first page of Google can be done quickly and easily.
Using the following quick tips you could get listed on the first page of Google for some keywords within a month or two, depending on how competitive your niche is. A video game site that followed these tips got on the first page of Google, in the fifth spot, for a popular search term when the site was less than one month old.
Here are the five quick tips for getting to the first page of Google:
1. Put some original content on your blog. Post at least once a day but not more than every two to three hours. It doesn’t look good if you are posting every few minutes. Continue adding new content regularly. Some of the content can be duplicate content (from an article directory or private label rights articles) but the more original content the better.
2. When you have at least five posts with original content then submit your blog to Google’s sitemap. It’s not hard, and it only takes a few minutes. As long as you have a blog that looks authentic and is not filled with scraped content, this is a good start to getting noticed by Google.
3. Write some original articles and submit them to article directories such as EzineArticles, GoArticles, ArticleAlley, and SearchWarp. Do not submit more than one a day since it is better to not inundate the article directories or they might think you are spamming them. It is very important to have a good resource box with links back to your site.
4. Submit your RSS feed to at least fifty sites. This can be done in less than a couple of minutes using RSS Submit (RSSFeedsSubmit), a great piece of software that automatically submits your feed to more than fifty sites. The price is very reasonable (less than ) but if you don’t want to spend any money and would rather do it by hand, Robin Good sells a list of 55 RSS submission sites for a very small fee.
5. Get your URL link listed in as many places as possible. Submit your site to directories like DMOZ. Answer questions at answers.yahoo and include your URL with your signature. Leave comments on blogs that are in a related niche to yours, again including your URL in the signature. Do a search with the phrase “keyword add url” and add your URL at sites that allow you to do it for free. “Keyword” would be replaced by one of your keywords for your niche. Submit your blog to Technorati. Submit your original posts to social bookmarking sites like Digg, Netscape, Redit, Plugim, and so on. Be sure to tell friends to vote for your submissions at the social bookmarking sites.
These five quick tips will give your blog a powerful boost and get your blog on the first page of Google in a very short time. Within days you should be getting traffic from Google as you rise in the search engines. And you did it with spending little or no money.

NEW Information on GOOGLE ADWORDS
We don’t have any news from Google… But what news we do have is about Google.
Like any subject, like any aspect of life, there are very few changes… Yet what is new is a ‘new perspective; the ‘old system’ but with a new eye. Some formulas are explored within a few weeks of a system originating; others ideas take some time to manifest and develop. Once tried and tested, although 6 to 12 months in the making, they are new to everyone else.
Occasionally all who use Google Adwords are prone and tempted to trying a little experiment; testing an idea to see if it works. Finance of course prevents us from exploring the idea to its fullest. Just when we think we’ve got a handle on a way to earn some serious cash; does the idea or system go belly up.
So as a consequence of our experimentation and subsequent failure we patiently await with our ears to the ground for the next breakthrough; made by those other people that we envy.
I introduce the hard work, patience and persistence of Andrew and Stephen who have produced a double volume ebook entitled the Google Magic Formula.
The first book introduces the basics for Google Adwords and few of the more seasoned professionals need to read this volume. But the juice and fervor surrounding the magical tips and advice that flows through the entire second volume; it makes you wonder why I have the time to write this article.
When you have mixed, matched, worked beyond midnight and started before 6am on varying topics related to earning your living off Google Adwords; then the Google Magic Formula becomes a big contribution to your arsenal.
As I read through the Google Magic Formula I noticed areas I had dabbled in but not fully understood. Eureka was the cry… Suddenly it all fell into place!
Please… Just at times I am a bit pigheaded claiming I know everything there is to know, but when you find a few more tweaks that will help your campaigns, I have to step down off my pedestal and get back into the real world.
Meanwhile, Google shareholders are sipping their Moet with friends in their 20th floor Penthouse apartment in New York City. These shareholders are beaming. Like Google, they know that 90% of all Adwords account holders fail in their mission to make money.
This majority just pump hard earned cash into Google’s ever-increasing coffers, giving Google shareholders a reason to $mile as they just sit back and watch their bank accounts get fatter and fatter with every new Google Adwords newbie signing up online.
As you read the new Google Magic Formula a paragraph will start seemingly full of what you already know, then soon you read beyond a gem of a suggestion and you track back to read it again… and then again. I’ll break off know because I’m itching to get started. Speak again soon.

And don’t worry, these tips won’t strain your brain to much and are very straight forward, even if your New to the Internet marketing game.
TRAFFIC, as we all know it is the life blood of your businesses VERY existence online, so wouldn’t it be nice if you could tap into some of that traffic, thats targeted Search Engine traffic, absolutely FREE Of Charge?
I bet you said YES!
Well… your in luck because that’s the sole purpose of a “Feeder Page”.
Now, the question that I found that usually arises with “Feeder Pages” is How-To build them correctly.
This was the exact question I had myself when I was first came across this type of website Traffic Generation and is why I’m writing this article.
So, with that said, I hope by the time you finish reading this article you’ll have a good idea yourself of the steps neccessary on How-To build quality “Feeder Pages” of your own that will send you FREE targeted search engine traffic and generate you some Google Adsense revenue as well.
Lets get started. Go to Tip #1.
Tip #1. Make your “Feeder Pages” theme based.
This is an important tip. You must make your “Feeder Pages” the same theme as the rest of your website. What I mean by that is, same template, same navigation, same links, copyright, etc.
By doing this it won’t seem as obvious to your visitor that its a generated page of some sort and will give you a better chance of them clicking through to your main sale pages.
Tip #2. Put quality Keyword Rich content on your pages.
This is yet another important tip you must consider and that is putting quality Keyword Targeted content on your “Feeder Pages” that targets your audience.
Why?
Because you are building these pages for the search engines and since roughly 85% of Internet surfers use search engines as their primary tool for locating the information they’re looking for your going to want to have Quality Content related to your Product or Service waiting for them to draw them in when they find your link within the search engine listings.
Tip #3. Add links back to your website or affiliate site.
This next tip is pretty straight forward. All you need to do is put either a Text Ad(recommended) or some Banner Ads within the “Feeder Pages” in Highly Visible areas and link them back to your main website or Affiliate website.
This is the whole purpose of building these pages in the first place.
Tip #4. Placing your Google Adsense code for $$CASH$$.
Since your doing all this work to generate traffic to your main website why not profit EVEN MORE by adding 3 blocks of Google Adsense code to your “Feeder Pages” just in case your visitor decides not to click through to your website or affiliate site.
And since your “Feeder Pages” have quality Keyword Targeted content on them, your Google Adsense Ads will display targeted ads.
The best places to put your 3 blocks of Google Adsense code is right at the top under your Header graphic if you have one. The next best place is in the upper left sidebar. And the last place is either within the content itself or at the end of the article.
These positions all depend on how you build your “Feeder Pages”, so make sure you plan out where you want to put your Google Adsense code in advance for Maximum PROFIT!
Tip #5. Add an RSS feed to your “Feeder Pages”.
Okay. Here’s the last tip I’m going to share and that is, add an RSS(Real Simple Syndication) feed to your “Feeder Pages”.
By doing this you’ll be putting your “Feeder Pages” on Autopilot, 24/7.
Why an RSS feed?
Simple. RSS feeds deliver and syndicate fresh content, so if you have an RSS feed on your “Feeder Pages” your content will be updated ‘Automatically’ which will then trigger the search engine spiders to schedule routine visits back to your website for more indexing.
Well… there you have it in a nutshell folks.
If you follow what I have outlined above you’ll be on your way to FREE targeted search engine traffic and Google Adsense $$PROFITS$$.
These are just some quality tips I wanted to share with you from my own experience to help you Maximize your efforts if you decide to use this type of Traffic Generation, and to also help take away the Trial and Error process.
Below I have furnished a link to some special tools that you can download and review on your own time so you can see whats available to you in making your “Feeder Pages” kick butt in the Search Engines and most important of all, put MORE cash in your pocket.

5 Quick Tips To Be More “Google-able”
5 Quick Tips To Be More “Google-able”
Being found in Google has become one of the most important aspects of running a business (and a business website), and it’s something that I work to accomplish on a daily basis. However, establishing better local results through Google is as simple as a 5 step process:
Submit To The Listings Of Google — Google provides a great business service through Google Places. You are able to provide hours of operation, photos, videos, coupons, and various product offerings. But, in this past month, Google Places has added the following: (1) Service Area – you can now show geographic areas that you serve, (2) Advertise through tags, and (3) real time updates.
Brighten the Beacon Through Directories — One of the best ways for Google to find you is through your use of directories. The easiest way to do this is search for the top 50 free business directories, and submit your information to 5 each day for 10 days. This will make the process easier to complete and less tedious. To start, you can visit www.dmoz.org.
Research Your Competition — The bottom line to this is that you do not want to reinvent the wheel, but you want to create a better/more efficient wheel than your competition. So, spend a day and research what categories and keywords your competition is using. This will allow you to see what is working for them as well as how you can deliver better quality content. Now that you have that information, you can hammer home user generated unique content.
Encourage Reviews – You have a unique opportunity with your business in that you can encourage and promote reviews on social media sites. Google has a section in the Google Places page where people can leave reviews and critiques of your services, but it doesn’t end there; City Search is a great place to utilize if you are in a major city, and Twitter is another (more public) place to encourage people to review. My suggestion, though, is to give them some sort of direction (i.e. Provide a specific hashtag to use on Twitter so that you can use that to promote your business as well).
Back To Basics — Venture back to the basic idea of anchor texts and internal links. Anchor down the locational keywords (i.e. restaurant in Denver with your home page, and utilize those directional keywords). You cannot undervalue the internal links that you create through your own site as well as commenting on other social media sites with your locational keywords linked back to your page.
These quick tips are enough to get your local results through Google to improve, but remember that you always want to be improving on what you already have. So, stay tuned and stop in frequently to see what other information we can produce to help you help your business.
Seo India: Tips For Quick Google Optimization
Seo India: Tips For Quick Google Optimization
Google is the most used and trusted search engine, this is surely not a news item for any one however here are a few tips that can make your experience with Google better. While there are a lot of people who want to optimize on search engines, the biggest hurdle they find is listing their site and this is precisely what this article will help you with.
Onsite Google Optimization
You would have heard this term for sure! What you need to do first is find the keyword you want to list for. Once done you can create a page for it. For instance, your keyword is “SEO India”, create a file, seo-india.html or seo-india.php. Remember, using ‘ – ‘ is important rather than a space because it makes it easy for the search engines.
Another thing that you have to be careful about is the use of the keywords in the page content. Ensure that you can highlight the keyword by having them bold. Next, you can use them in heading, sub-headings as well title tags.
Off-site Google Optimization
Here is the important part, you have a page created, so how to optimize it?
In order to get listed on Google you can first start with a Press release (PR). Submit a PR to sites like pr.com and prlog.org. The reason for submitting to these sites is simple, they have great page ranks and Google tends to take updates from these sites sooner. Due to this aspect, PR submission is highly recommended. Include a link to your web page created to get a listing on Google faster.
The next thing to do is article distribution. Yes, it is an old trick but you can make it effective if you have the insights. There are certain article sites that approve your articles faster and can help you with great rankings on Google, articlesbase.com and articlesnatch.com are two such sites where your articles get approved faster and you will see that you can get faster listings on Google. Make sure that you have links added to keywords directing them to your newly created web page, this will help you with quick Google optimization.
Finally, get yourself on social bookmarking sites like digg.com and propeller.com, submit the newly created link.
When you do all the above steps there is a web that is formed which can help you trap the search engine spiders and have them list your web page faster. Google optimization is something that can help you immensely.
6 Quick and Simple Ways to Dominate Google Rankings!
The reason Google is the most successful search engine in the world is because they provide the best search results; pages ranked by tangible value. That tangible value is a combination of content and links, with links being the more important factor (they assume any pages linking in will only link to good content or risk their own ranking.)
Here are a few tips that will help you take full advantage of Google’s love of linking…
1.) Link Deep and with Relevance
So why is deeper better and what’s this about relevance? Google figured out that a link to a homepage is only good if that homepage has the information the visitor needs. If a person clicks a link for “amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe” and ends up on the home page, which has nothing of the sort, Google discounts it as a wasted link. On the other hand, if the link leads to the page containing info on the “Amazing Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe,” even five levels deep, the link has huge value to the visitor and to Google.
Want some proof? You already have it if you’ve ever used Google’s AdWords pay per click service. They will not even accept PAID links to pages that are not the most relevant for their visitors, regardless of what you are willing to pay per click. Now that’s saying something!
2.) Use Absolute Links Internally
It sounds complicated but it’s not. Absolute links are those with a fixed full URL. There’s another kind, called “relative” links that skip the first part of the domain and remain “relative” to the file structure. Let’s take a look at the difference…
Here’s the absolute link to the Google Ads page from Google’s homepage: “http://www.google.com/intl/en/ads/”
Here’s what it might look like as a relative link: “./intl/en/ads/”
Long story short; absolute links help your SEO efforts and relative links don’t.
3.) Use Keywords in Anchor Text
Use relevant keywords in your link anchor text (that is the text within the hyperlink.) Forget about “Click Here” like you see on so many sites. Not only does that not help your ranking, it actually lowers the relevancy of your real keywords because Google believes that if a word is important enough it will likely be used as part of a link to get the visitor where they want to go.
4.) Follow the 1% Solution
Make no more than 1% of your page text into links (both outbound and internal.) That is, if you have 500 words on the page there should be no more than 5 text links total. And don’t overuse the same keyword text for the links. So if you have three mentions each of three different keywords, try to use each just once in a link. Then use similar text for any remaining links.
Example: If “chocolate chip cookies” is your main keyword phrase you might use “chocolate chip cookies” as the anchor text for one link and then “my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe” for another link.
It’s also a good idea to use 10 Links Max per page whether you have 1,000 words or 10,000 words on that page.
5.) Add a Link Failsafe
This is really simple and almost nobody does it. Links get broken more often than we like. Sometimes it’s because we moved a page and sometimes it has nothing to do with anything we consciously did (especially with blogs.) The solution is to create a custom 404 page (Page Not Found) that looks just like any other page on your site and has a simple note like “We’re sorry we cannot find the page you are looking for. However, if you love cookies of all kinds we think you’ll find exactly what you want by clicking on one of the following links…” Then of course you have a navigation system for them to follow.
6.) Get the Best Links Possible
This is extremely important yet often overlooked because it can be such a difficult and time consuming job. If you take nothing else away from this article, please take this… Finding the best possible inbound links is the single most important thing you can do to make the number one spot on Google.
Here are three tips to help minimize your time and effort while giving you results SEO experts charge an arm and a leg for.
A.) Get listed in directories.
Submit your site to the top directories like Jayde.com and DMOZ.org. Once they link to your site you will have great relevant inbound links and some instant credibility with Google.
Here are some great free directories in order of value, starting with the best… dmoz.org, jayde.com, webworldindex.com, turnpike.net, and directoryvault.com. Yahoo is important but charges $299 for commercial site inclusion.
B.) Use “Special Commands” to do the legwork for you.
The best linked sites can easily be found with a simple search command called “allinanchor:” Here’s how to use it. Go to Google and type in “allinanchor:keyword goes here” (no quotes and no space after the colon.) Now hit Enter and you’ll see the sites that have the highest relevancy for keywords used in anchor text. Look for any that you know are competitors and outrank your site.
Now take the URL for any of these and use this command “link:www.theirdomain.extension” (again with no quotes and no space after the colon.) This will show you all the sites linking in as well as internal pages linking back in.
In short, these two special commands give you an inside look at exactly how the competition does what it does with the results they get. This is huge!
C.) Use good SEO software whenever possible.
If you can afford to spend one or two hundred dollars to save huge amounts of time and get professional results, it’s well worth it. Like many SEO professionals whose livelihood depends on results, I’ve been using SEO software to get top search engine placement for years. The best ones not only help you identify great link partners but will even help you contact them and make sure they don’t cheat you in any way. I use SEO Elite (http://www.SEOeliteWeb.com) and am still amazed by all it can do.
If possible, get a tool that also does rank checking and reporting. Once you begin you’ll want to check rankings every so often and an automated tool will save you a ton of time. Oddly enough I bought SEO Elite primarily for rank checking then discovered it was worth its weight in gold as linking tool as well. So whatever tool you use, get as much out of it as you can. You might be pleasantly surprised.
A Quick Look at the Yahoo, Google & Msn PPC Programs
The trinity of online marketing – Yahoo, MSN and Google are essentially search engines that help surfers come closer to the sites they are looking for, thereby also acting as middlemen between businesses and their customers. n order to attract search engine attention, web masters either optimize their website for organic results or go for paid placements, better known as PPC search engine marketing.
PPC search engine web marketing is especially helpful for the smaller players who can never hope to compete with their more affluent competitors, who with their huge websites and vast storehouses of content are bound to show up on the first page. PPC search engine web marketing evens the playing field by allowing the smaller players to display their ads alongside the organic search results. Yahoo, Google and MSN literally dominate the PPC search engine internet marketing playground.
Yahoo’s PPC search engine marketing works through an open auction, with the ads of the highest bidder getting the highest ranking. Of late they have worked hard to make Yahoo PPC search engine marketing into a more advanced ‘closed system’, which take in several algorithmic factors, like Click-Through Rate into their PPC advertising algorithm.
Google Adwords factors in both Click-Through Rates and maximum price bids into the algorithm of their ads. In addition to this, Google also reviews the quality of the landing page of the website. So, if you are participating in the Google search engine internet marketing, you will need to invest in a quality landing page, which has a good amount of keyword rich content.
MSN’s PPC search engine internet marketing ‘AdCenter’ is one of the most advanced search advertising platforms on the internet. Like Yahoo, MSN PPC search engine internet marketing is based both on the click through rate of the ad and its max bid price of the keyword.
Each search engine has its own clientele and therefore its own individual niche. A good web marketing campaign, therefore, focuses on all the three for consistent online success.
Quick Work From Home Tips: Marketing Through Tweeting
Probably one of the many reasons why Internet marketing is pretty much thriving over the years are those Internet tools and resources â some are free and some come with a fee â that have come into existence to help folks with activities in relation to their work from home or online businesses. Just like using social bookmarking sites, article directories and social networks, people are now marketing through tweeting or through the use of the most popular microblogging site, Twitter.
In this modern age, you will rarely find someone who doesn’t have a Twitter account but even those who are not riding the Twitter bandwagon know at least what the aforementioned site is and how it works. Twitter lets its users post short (140 characters maximum) updates, information and shout-outs in the form of âtweets.â Early on, this was thought of as just an activity between friends and family to keep each other updated and connected. But tweeting has developed more uses ever since. It’s now a way to track activities of celebrities and famous personalities, to post business updates, to share interesting news, stories and information, to widen your circle of online friends and, of course, to advertise your work from home or online business.
Using Twitter and including it in your marketing campaign and strategies is one good move considering the number of people using that site all over the globe every hour, every day. But marketing through tweeting should be effective enough to ensure you that you and your work from home are on the path of success. Here are a few quick tips to do that:
The Follow
Almost all work from home tips regarding Twitter would tell you to build a following. It’s indeed the basics of this site. One has to increase the number of his or her followers. If you look at it in a social aspect, getting more followers will give you the chance to know and interact with more people. In a business aspect, more followers means more people to promote your products and services to. That, in turn, means more potential customers. And for those folks you followed yet haven’t been able to follow back ever since, just do a little âunfollowâ magic.
The Features
Twitter has a lot of features that you can utilize to your advantage. Online marketers have been searching and adding features that will help them advertise their online businesses, services and products using Twitter. Some of the popular choices are Retweet, Group Tweet, Auto Complete, Tweet Popularity, Tweets-threading and others.
The Post
Some folks using Twitter may find it hard to promote with such little available space for content. One hundred forty characters may not be enough but you got to learn how to create short content, a post that is still genuine and interesting although presented briefly. Also, if you’re linking, keep in mind that you should link to something (a web page, an article, etc.) that has good content as well.
The Details
This may just be a small deal but if you are going to be marketing through tweeting, you should at least have an idea or two about who your followers are. Sometimes when you check on the profiles of your followers, you will find either some empty accounts or those that have already been banned. If you have sufficient time, you can âunfollowâ those. Just think of it as a way to clean your list of followers and besides, there’s clearly no use following them. Do you want to waste your time and efforts advertising your products and work from home to such blank accounts?
