How to Design a Successful Search Engine Optimization Plan

How to Design a Successful Search Engine Optimization Plan

5 steps to create Successful Search Engine Optimization strategies and improve your website’s organic ranking.

Dear Reader,

You are reading this article probably because you want to learn about Search Engine Optimization techniques and tricks. Perhaps you want to promote your site and generate more leads, increase the revenue, and ultimately bring more business for your site.

Therefore, I gathered some information about search engine optimization subject which I hope you will get benefit from reading it.

Search engine marketing is using the search engines to drive traffic to your website. Consumers are using the internet and for the most part “search engines” to find what they are looking for. Therefore, it’s important for your business to have a website that has a good ranking in search engines.

There are numbers of method you can use to market your website using the search engines; however, I will only cover those that are free of charge in this article.

Organic Search Engine Optimization

This is probably the most common search engine marketing strategy for your website. There are enormous amount of information on the web about organic search engine optimization; however, which one will work for your site?

Learn from my mistake. It won’t happen over the night. You must have a good plan for your website optimization process and dedicate yourself to that plan. Therefore, it’s important to have a well-planed search engine optimization strategy to reduce your chance of failure. Today, there are so many FREE TOOLS available to you that you can use to create a successful plan for your site such as Google Webmaster Tools, GoodKeyword and many more.

I have divided the search Engine optimization planning into 5 major steps.

1. Decide which search engine you want to focus on. I would suggest start with Google, Yahoo, MSN respectively and Lean as much as you can about these search engines. For example, learn what is important to Google and use it your advantage. These information are usually published at their sites and it’s available to the public. In addition, there are thousands of methods that have been patented by USPTS and it’s available to you for FREE which you can study and learn from it.

2. This is an important part of your plan. You have to be realistic. Select your target keywords as narrow as possible. Why? Because if you choose very wide keywords you are diminishing your chance of being successful in your project. Remember, you are not the only one that is trying to optimize his or her site and those who started before you are ahead of the game. So be patient and start from the button and get to the top.

3. Identify you competitors and find out about their strategies. By doing a simple search on Google you can find your competitors and discover their strategies and secrets. Using methods like number of incoming links to the website, website’s contents, number of pages and…est. learn as much as you can about them.

4. Once you have identified all the search-terms it’s time to start the optimization process from your home page and other important pages on your site. In this step prepare the Meta tags, keywords, heading, contents, link tags… Remember, search engine optimization is divided into two major parts; inside optimization and outside optimization. Please note; do not neglect to put relative Meta tags and content for your pages. Although, search engines such as Google, and Yahoo do not put a high value on Meta tags anymore, however not-having Meta tags can reduce your ranking up to 1%. Don’t say 1% doesn’t matter, when you are competing with more than one million pages.

5. Once you have figure-out your Meta tags, Keyword, and contents, it’s time to start the real and more challenging step “outside optimization”. The best and most effective method which so fare has been proven the top strategy for search engine optimization is linking strategy. But be careful of who you are getting link from and to whom you are linking from your website. I suggest link to those sites that offer something valuable to your visitors and exchange link with websites that are in the same market as you are. Link exchanging is beneficial but it can also be harmful. Search engines such as Google puts value on all incoming links to each web page and recognizes them as a vote from one site to another site. Linking strategy is a very complicated and critical subject and I would suggest that you do some research on your own before starting this process and find the best strategy for you site. I have another article “A successful linking strategy” which you can download from my site and in that article I will go over the details of a successful linking strategy.

I hope that by now you have a better vision of how a successful optimization plan should be designed and If you need any information you can always go to my website http://www.websitedevelopmenttech.com and click on learning center, or you can subscribe to my “6 weeks FREE optimization workshop” and get all the details you need to optimized you site.

Wish you all the Best.

Creating A Twitter Marketing Plan For Your Small Business

Creating A Twitter Marketing Plan For Your Small Business

Even as Facebook was just becoming a household name, Twitter burst onto the scene, and has rapidly become one of the hottest social networking sites on the web today. While the Twitter community was designed for social interaction just like personal texting, it didn’t take Internet marketers long to recognize a goldmine when they saw it. But like every marketing method, even Twitter can give you bad results if you don’t do the right things. For those who follow some practical, helpful tips before starting to use Twitter, these types of missteps are certainly avoidable. As a social platform, Twitter is extremely public, and that can give your business a lot of exposure very easily. Remember that you need to be very careful when you use Twitter as a marketing tool; Twitter is first and foremost a social creature. We will cover a number of pitfalls to watch out for while marketing with Twitter in this article.

The biggest mistake people make when using Twitter for promotion is to use it to send out spam–tweets that will be ignored by the Twitter community due to their nature. Your tweets are like conversations you have at a dinner table, they are short and simple but convey a lot. The majority of people who are logging on to Twitter are there to socialize and enjoy themselves with like-minded people. If someone on Twitter gets promotional spam from someone they’ve never even tweeted before it’s an instant negative and you’re out the door. Your tweets need to have a benefit for those on your followers list and shouldn’t be blatant sales pitches. Your tweets should be helpful and of some benefit to other people. Of course that doesn’t mean you aren’t able to promote through your tweets. You just need to provide your followers with a significant value before you send them marketing tweets. If most of your tweets are helpful ideas and suggestions, and you recommend a product here and there, you’re going to be off to a good start and the results will start adding up. With suggestions and endorsements instead of hard core advertising, you can effectively market with Twitter. Be sure to put a human face to your account with Twitter as people always prefer to interact with other folks, not any corporate entity. If you keep it real and give people helpful information, they will buy your products and services.

You will probably receive direct direct messages or replies from your customers; be sure to answer them personally. If you don’t you’ll look bad, as though you only care about yourself and the product you’re pushing. By taking notice of their questions and providing adequate replies, you will prove that you bring a sincere concern for your audience. Ignoring your messages and your customers is certain to blemish your reputation and turn your followers away from you. Understand your prospect and treating them with respect should be your top priority. Of utmost importance is the vital call to action. The real goal here is to use Twitter to market your business and create sales. If you make an offer at the correct time, after you’ve given your followers something of value things should go your way. After all, consumers will only purchase from you if your product meets their current need.

Twitter Marketing in Your Internet Marketing Plan?

Twitter Marketing in Your Internet Marketing Plan?

Your Internet marketing Plan should include twitter marketing because of the volume of people signed up and willing to follow you, in exchange for you to follow them back. Internet Marketers are some of the most active tweeters because of what they do for a living on the internet and of course how much time they spend marketing and trying to generate leads and drum up business.

Re-Tweeting is also another important aspect of twitter and tweeting,  it will boost your standings with other twitters when they see you unselfishly re-tweet someone Else’s blog post or twitter post. You must be careful in doing so by making sure the information is of interest and news worthy. Twitters don’t really care what someone did last night or what they had for diner, they are looking for information that they can use in their internet marketing business. If you can provide that information to them, by either you writing the info or re-tweeting someone else’s information, again your status would be elevated in the eyes of your followers.

It’s becoming quite a bit easier for internet marketers to do twitter marketing because of the number of sites that now have some sort of social bookmarking available on their blog, or web page.  Just click on the re-tweet button and you just blasted, hopefully useful and interesting information to all your followers. It’s now just that easy.

Letting other tweeter’s get to know you is also important as to whether or not they may want to follow you. Update your profile with current information, plus you can add pictures of you and some of friends and family so your fellow twitters will know and understand that you are, in fact, a real person. Whether you’re tweeting for fun, business or it’s just a hobby, people like to do business with someone that they feel they know, like and trust, so open the profile door and let them have a peep at who you really are, and don’t be afraid to share a little personal information every now and then.

Master PPC Advertising With a Plan

Author admin    Category PPC     Tags , ,

In order to receive big payday checks, its no secret that you need to be willing to write smaller checks for PPC advertising or other advertising to make it happen.

Affiliate marketing is very competitive and particularly so for the Internet marketer wanting to take advantage of many new markets and different, profitable niches simultaneously. To be successful, the affiliate marketer will need a source of targeted traffic for each market or niche. There are many ways to get traffic including:

1. Established Websites, Article Marketing, Exchanging Links, Commenting On Relevant Blogs, Etc.

These traffic sources take time to develop and eventually your efforts will pay off. But expect it is going to take months of hard work before a reasonable amount of targeted traffic starts flowing to you. Then repeat for the next niche you want to target. Or.

2. Pay Per Click (PPC) Traffic.

With PPC you can write smaller checks for your targeted advertising in order to receive larger payday checks. The PPC method is the fastest way to get that targeted traffic and make enough sales to expect big payday checks.

With so many profitable markets available to the affiliate marketer, it is nearly impossible to take advantage of many using the methods mentioned in option one above. The work and time involved is just too great to make an impact in new, developing markets and multiple niches. Markets that are highly profitable one week may be yesterday’s news the next. Affiliate marketers need to be able to strike while the iron is hot!

Some say that it takes time and energy to setup PPC campaigns, too, and appropriate keywords at the major PPC providers, such as Google, MSN and Yahoo, can become very competitive. Those arguments miss the point that PPC is the one targeted traffic source that can deliver instant traffic from every corner of the Internet. It allows the affiliate marketer a way to tap into a nearly limitless number of hungry buyers practically on a moments notice.

But how do you make PPC work and know you’re targeting the right traffic market without blowing your budget? To do this you need to be able to make PPC setup easy and efficient and be able to target interested buyers. To create a successful PPC campaign will require the following three elements.

1. Keyword/Keyphrase, Ad Content And Landing Page Content Testing

If you don’t know which keywords and phrases are bringing you buying customers, you will waste money. If you don’t know which ad content draws buyers, you will waste money. And if you don’t know which content to put on your landing page to convert your visitors into buyers, you will waste money. Possibly, so much that that your campaign will not be successful. Once you know the answers to these questions you can drop the duds, cut your advertising costs significantly and turn the campaign into a huge profit maker.

You can then plow your profits into more traffic, more sales and even more profits.

2. Target Desperate Traffic

It makes more sense to attract traffic that is desperate and ready to take action than to target “lookie lews” who aren’t necessarily ready to take out their credit card and make a purchase.

3. Don’t Blow Your Budget

You must keep close tabs on your advertising spending and the sales it is generating. On the one hand, you can easily blow through your budget if the traffic isn’t placing orders. On the other, it will be a huge mistake to place a cap on your PPC campaign and your advertising budget once you have fine tuned your campaign and it is running profitably.

Buy following these rules, you will have more time to find profitable affiliate niches and take advantage of them quickly with PPC targeted traffic.

Every day that goes by that you are not starting you are losing followers and prospects. Which also means you are losing traffic to your site, which normally would convert into optins and money. So you really do not want to be losing all these leads and money my friend. So get started if you do not have a clue how to start how to set it up find a mentor who can show you.

I’m sure there are many other good offers out there on the Internet. So don’t procrastinate don’t make excuses just do it at the end of the day you are responsible for your success or ultimately your failures. Sometimes events circumstances happen which take some things out of your control, the answer to this is not to quit maybe you need to change your angle or what you are selling, or to who you are selling it. Ultimately if you want to be successful the only thing you need to do is not quit.

So read on to find out your daily article marketing plan and how daily article submission can increase your traffic.

Article Marketing: To Increase Your Traffic Day by Day

Many article marketers forget or neglect the most important part of article marketing. Do you know what it is? To take the maximum advantage of article promotion, it is recommended to write and submit articles on a daily basis. In this way, you will regularly build quality one-way backlinks to your sites.  Your Article Marketing Plan:

Your plan should include the following important parts:

Exact days of article marketing; Exact time you will write and submit articles every day; The amount of articles per day or per week; A ready list of Keywords You will use in your articles; Daily report about your success and failure.

Conclusion

So now you know how you should improve your article marketing to get maximum traffic and sales every day. The main soul of successful article marketing is proper plan and daily strict discipline which can be done by anyone, even by a newbie. Social Media Marketing Training Helps You Make a Plan For Success

At a social media marketing training session I recently attended, I overheard another attendee talking about the challenges she faced in attempting to tackle social media marketing. The owner of a small, home-based business based in the Toronto area, she was trying to find inexpensive ways to market her business. She had heard about this new way of promoting her company and decided to jump in with both feet. After a few months, she felt completely overwhelmed and decided that she needed training in social media marketing.

She is likely not alone. The temptation to take advantage of the virtually free marketing opportunities in social media is pretty strong, but without an effective plan, you will find yourself in the same position as that Toronto business owner.

Social Media Marketing – Why So Much Choice Can Be a Bad Thing

There are many kinds of sites that fall under the heading of “social media.” These include social networking sites like Facebook and LinkedIn, social news sites like Digg and Reddit, and social bookmarking sites like Delicious. Social media also includes the “microblogging” site, Twitter.

The key to using social media for marketing is to offer people something of value so they will want to connect and interact with your business. For most businesses, this thing of value is a blog, series of articles, or other content of interest to their core audience.

Here’s where it gets tricky, and where our Toronto business owner got tripped up – deciding which social media sites to use and what kind of content to create.

When I heard that business owner talk about her challenges, I entered the conversation to see what she had bee trying. Here’s a summary of what she said:

• She started a blog but after a month or so had run out of things to talk about.
• Everytime she posted to her blog, she would add a link to the post on Digg and Delicious.
• She had also investigated Reddit and Stumble Upon and set up accounts on both sites but left them pretty much inactive.
• She set up a profile on Linked In, at the suggestion of a client, but promptly forgot about it and rarely used it.
• She added a personal profile to Facebook but, beyond that, had no idea how to use this profile to promote her business. She eventually found a way to create a business page, which seemed to suit her needs.
• She just recently joined Twitter and was having trouble keeping up with it and finding things to say.

After listening to her, I concluded that the main problem she was having was content-based and I reassured her that the social media marketing training course would help her.

What she needed was a comprehensive plan to get her started. She needed to focus her efforts on a few sites, and ensure she had content to share. She needed a schedule for her writing and she also needed to learn how to optimize her content to draw the traffic she wanted.

Fortunately, the social media training course we were both attending covered all of those points and more.

I spoke to her at the end of the course and she said she felt much better, and much more ready to tackle social media marketing. The training had helped her immensely.

If you own your own business and you are interested in marketing through social media, I recommend that you start with social media marketing training, so you can avoid wasting months of time and energy like our Toronto business owner did.

Direct Sales & Home Party Plan Marketing Information : How Can Social Media Benefit My Business

The astute and very pleasant Direct Sales Consultant, known by the handle The Traveling SalesWoman, asked the following question of me?
You were the person who encouraged me to join Twitter, and I’m so grateful for that!  Can you share some further thoughts about Twitter and why home party business owners should join in that conversation?

Are you are brothers and sisters fan?  If so you have not missed the obvious connection between Sarah Walkers’ Greenotopia company and its’ many references to social networks and social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter!

And if you don’t know by now, you are no-one if you are not on twitter.  I was amused to find that my vocabulary  has changed considerably over the past year!

I am  Youtubing, plurking, Facebooking, tweeting, blogging, linking, MySpacing, texting and a host of other things too!  All these are some of the most popular social media sites and as you can see things can get pretty hairy, so I definitely recommend that you have a social media system.

Direct Sales Home Party Marketing Tip: Any task you do more than once NEEDS a procedure, system or checklist!

Before Bill Gates, no one had a personal computer!   One man single handedly revolutionized the world with a dream…his dream was that every home would have a computer!  His dream was to provide value to every single household in the world!

Even after Bill Gates created such an incredible tool, that gave rise to the Internet, Easy Online access & E-Commerce; it STILL amazes me just how many people refuse, are afraid and/or have not taken advantage of the power of the computer and the Internet! Computers as far as I am concerned are the best social media tools (of course for the obvious reason without one you cannot access social media ?, yep)!

I told the travelling saleswoman that social media and social networks are all about relational capital.  And like any thing social media marketing is an art form. The question I often get asked by home party consultants and direct sales reps. Is why don’t they buy my product.  The answer is simple, you have written a check, which came back with the red stamp mark, insufficient funds! (thanks Martin Luther King Jr. for that one).

You see people buy because:

i)    they know you,
ii)    they trust you
iii)   they believe that you have the solution the problem which the face and
iv)   for status

People don’t buy a product, nor do they buy a feature and the benefits are as they are decided upon by the story they tell themselves.   Your juice drink mwy help me loose weight.  But the story I am telling myself is that I am going to look sexy, finally that size 0 pair of jeans that I have seen on display for a year will be mine.  I am going to get hit on by men….you get the picture?  So if your pitch is not in line with my story…

How does all this fit into social media and social marketing?  Simple, you are building relational capital, by depositing in the bank of getting to know you, getting to know all about you!  And you are not only doing it with one person, no you are reaching out to many in one shot!

There are people on these sites that follow you, there are those that interact with you and those that want to see what you are about.  The cool thing about social outlets is that you are King and Queen of your own little internet real estate  King/Queendom!

Social media and social marketing is all about building that relational capital that gives you the all access pass to make your direct sales pitches to those who are ready, able and willing to hear what you have to say, and have the money to spend on what you have to sell.  Do not under-estimate the power of relational capital!

How else do you think Pres. Barack Obama did it?  I will be holding a special in a week or so about “the Pres. Obama Social Media Effect : How You Too Can Go From Zero To Hero!
