Twitter Marketing- 7 Steps You Must Know for Success on Twitter
Twitter is quickly becoming the most popular social networking site in existence. There are currently about 6 million registered Twitter users, which equates to around 3.8 percent of people on the Internet. The research shows further projections that those numbers will double by the end of this year to 12.1 million users, and gain another 50 percent in 2010 to bring the service to a total audience of roughly 18 million registered users. This is overwhelming evidence that twitter is the hot place to be online right now. You can get real time data on literally anything happening in our world today and interact with millions of people live.
When I 1st heard about twitter I was a bit skeptical. I guess I just didn’t see how extraordinarily powerful this site really was until recently. My friend RJ Pepino had built a twitter following of 21,000 in just a few months and was having people join him in his business opportunity everyday! All of these leads where free. If you’re looking to create some passive income online, build a home base business that runs on automation and build your own list of followers, you have to be on Twitter.
So I put together a Beginners guide for you to generating Leads on Twitter:
1. Twitter- Create a free Twitter account if you haven’t already done so. Don’t be shy when creating your bio, be yourself, remember you are creating relationships and connecting with people.
2. Twitbacks-Customize your Twitter background with Twitbacks. You want to stand out from the crowd.
3. Social Oomph- Make sure you use Social Oomph and create a free account. This will allow you to send automated welcome messages, aka DM’s to new followers and create settings that will automatically follow those who follow you or un follow those who do not follow you.
4. livelybrowser- Purchase the Twitter Friend Adder for $50. This is optional, but highly recommended. You can automatically add Twitter friends with this tool running in the background. It is recommended you do not add more than 100-200 friends per day or twitter will suspend your account. You can also un follow those who don’t follow you, which is recommended every 24-48hrs after adding. This is extremely handy when doing followings of 100 or more people per day, which you will need to do to build a list fast and automation, is the way to go! If you’re on a budget, just add friends manually by finding others in your same niche but that is very time consuming.
5. Twellow- You can find people in your industry, mentors, and friends and or people talking about particular subjects to network with by using Twellow. When you find like-minded people follow them and their followers. See step 4 to automate this process.
6. Brainy Quote-Find good content to share with others. Don’t spam your links or always trying to sell. Build relationships; twitter success is dependent on your ability to share valuable content and information with your network and friends. Share anything funny, inspirational and educational even videos. Also share quotes, blog posts or re-syndicate content that you like from other people. I like using Brainy Quotes to find go quotes for content.
7. Make sure you use all the features available by twitter to communicate. Use direct messages and @reply features to interact personally with your new friends and network.
Hope these 7 simple steps help. Remember it’s all about connecting with your audience. If you can connect and build relationships then you will be a success on line!

Link Building Through Article Marketing – 7 Must Know Tips
Searching for inbound links?
Want to improve your ranking on Google? Are you looking for a solid, reliable method to consistently build large numbers of inbound links over time?
You’ve come to the right place. Read on…
I have been working on my website for three years now. When I started, I had no inbound links. I was getting traffic from MSN and a little from Yahoo but none from Google.
Today most of my traffic comes from Google. As you know inbound links are important in the Google “algorithm.” It was part of Larry Page’s thesis when he started his search engine experiment.
I’ve tried a lot of different ways to build links. And, after three years, I’ve concluded that the best method is publishing articles through places like Ezinearticles and Isnare.
1. Keywords
Go to SEO Book.com. You’ll find a free keyword tool. Play around with it. Find some keywords that are popular to your subject area. Use them for topics. Work the keyword in a number of times in the article. Use it in the headline.
2. Titles
Article titles or headlines are critical. One of my first articles that I published with Ezine had a very bland title. It got very few views and was published very few times. Then I read Rosalind Gardner’s “Super Affiliate Handbook” and everything changed. She has a great piece on creating interesting article titles. She calls it “The ‘Secret’ Ingredient Every Article Needs.”
Use numerals in the titles. For example, “8 ways to…” or “7 tips to….” And use words like “avoid,” “how to,” “tips” or secrets”. You can probably find some sources on the internet with ideas on headline writing.
Creating snazzy titles is “must know” information so don’t neglect it.
3. Use Proper Grammar and Punctuation
You want webmasters to pick up your articles and post them on their websites and blogs. They may be turned off by bad grammar or incorrect punctuation. Your article will reflect on their site. So make it look good. Use Microsoft Word or WordPerfect and keep the spell checker and grammar checker on at all times.
4. Proofread
James Michener used to say he was not a great writer but he was a great proofreader. After your article is finished, print it out. It is much easier to spot errors on the printed page. Get a red pen. Read the article slowly and carefully. Pretend you are someone else. A competitor, for example. She would find errors in your text. You can do the same. Fix them.
5. Article Submission
There are hundreds of places to submit your article. My current favorites are Ezinearticles.com and Isnare.com.
Ezinearticles has a minimum word requirement of 250 but is very strict about its editorial guidelines. I have published articles at Ezinearticles.com and each article gets a PR (page rank) 2 from Google. This is good. Very good actually. And Ezinearticles is basically the Harvard Law Review of article publishing.
Isnare.com has a minimum word requirement but is much more relaxed editorially. I find I can publish more articles for my time with Isnare even with the higher word requirement. With Ezinearticles I am continually rewriting to meet their strict standards.
There are many other article repository sites and you can find them with a simple search on Google.
6. Distribution
Just getting the article published in a repository is only half the battle. Some webmasters will pick up your articles from the repositories. But, ideally, you want the broadest possible distribution for your article because that way more webmasters become aware of it and publish it.
One way to do that is through “article announcement lists.” These are mostly Yahoo Groups. You can find them through a search on Yahoo. David Viney also publishes a list on page 159 of his very fine book “Getting to the Top on Google.”
For my purposes I have found I get the broadest possible distribution when I publish at Isnare.com. For a small fee ($2.00 per piece) they send the article out to gazillions of sites. And, I start noticing the inbound links multiplying more rapidly. So I pay the $2.00 and feel it is worth the money.
There are other methods of achieving broad distribution. There is software that Rosalind Gardner recommends and claims to use herself that does the same thing. It is rather pricey but if you are writing a lot of articles maybe it is worth the money
7. Resource Box
This is the area after the article where you can put your info. The article is your “give” and the resource box is your “take” as they say at Ezinearticles. There is a whole technology on how to write a concise effective resource box to maximize your return. You can find some great articles on it at Ezinearticles.com. Be sure to include one of the main keywords from your site in your link’s “anchor text.”
Conclusion
Article marketing can generate massive numbers of inbound links. A nice side benefit is that they will also bring you traffic. It takes some time to learn but it is a solid link building and marketing strategy.
Must Have Twitter Marketing Tools
Must Have Twitter Marketing Tools
The recent explosion of social media has created new opportunities for internet marketers. The one everyone is talking about is called Twitter. If you have never been on Twitter, or at least heard of Twitter you must have been living in a cave. The main stream media has been all over it lately. CNN for example has a huge presence on Twitter, with over 1.96 million followers as of the time of this article. Followers, by the way, are people that are interested in what you have to say and have decided to follow your tweets or updates. These tweets can be about anything you choose to write about, from what you are doing now to what you are going to do tomorrow. The can be about any and everything you want to say. You get a 140 characters to express yourself to the world. The quality of these tweets will have a direct impact on the rate at which you obtain and maintain followers. The more informative or entertaining the tweet, the more interesting it will be to your followers and the more likely it becomes that they will retweet the update. Retweet is when one or more of your followers think enough of your update to pass it along to their followers. You can compare retweeting to back-linking. It’s a great way to get your name out to the rest of the Twitter world and increase your followers.
Now to the important part for IM people. Twitter has become one of best places to market on the net. Consider your followers like you would your email list. The larger the follower/email list the more opportunity you are going to have. It’s that simple. I’d like to tell you it’s more complicated. But, it’s not. It’s simple math. Market to more targeted people and get better results. There the secrets out. I feel better already.
Let’s get to the nuts and bolts of building your follower base. The best way to gain targeted followers on twitter is to follow people interested in the niche you are marketing to. For example, if you’re marketing to NASCAR products, you would follow people interested in NASCAR. Simple, right. The problem comes in when they don’t follow you back. The rule is, about 30-50% of the people you follow will follow you back. So if you follow 1000 people, you can reasonably expect 300-500 people to follow you back. What about the people that don’t follow you back? You have to get rid of them by unfollowing them. Then go and follow more people. The basic rinse and repeat, that is fundamental in internet marketing. Two problems arise, first, this is very time consuming and second, twitter considers it spamming when you follow then unfollow and follow again the same people. They are very likely to suspend your account for this. Unless you have a miracle memory, you’ll never remember all the people that you have followed and unfollowed. This where having the right tool makes all the difference. You can automate the entire process with a tool called Hummingbird. It will allow you to follow targeted prospects with a couple clicks of your mouse and unfollow anyone that doesn’t follow you back. It will save you an enormous amount of time. It will handle multiple accounts, so you can market to several niche markets. The program also protects you, in that, it will not follow anyone you have unfollowed in the past. This will help prevent account suspensions. I personally use this program, after extensive research, I might add, and have found it to be the best program of it’s kind on the market. They are currently running a special offer. Use the discount code “RECESSION” and save $30.00. This program is worth many times what they charge. Review it here:Review
Another great time saver is called Tweetlater. This program is a life saver. It comes in two versions, a free and pro version, I strongly recommend the pro version. First let me tell you what both versions will do. First it will automatically send every new follow you get a welcome direct message. In this message you can welcome the new follower and tell them a little about what you do. A nice way to say, market to them. For example if you have ten accounts and average 400 new followers a day, that’s 4000 ads you send out everyday without lifting a finger. That’s a fabulous way to make passive income.
Time savers are money savers. Another way this programs saves you time is that it will automatically unfollow anyone that unfollows you. Both versions will handle multiple accounts and let you schedule future tweets. You can sit down on a Monday and schedule all your tweets for the week. That’s a huge time saver.
The Pro version also allows you to:
* Schedule @replies and DMs
* Schedule recurring tweets — Without them being repetitive!
* Bulk upload & schedule tweets — Save time!
* Run your own Twitter bots — Fully automate accounts!
* Ping.fm integration — Feed Facebook & MySpace!
* Manage DMs of all your Twitter accounts — Integrated console!
* Automatically weed out SPAM — Boost your productivity!
* And much more
The pro version is the way for the serious IM pros to go. I use it and it makes my life much easier. I strongly recommend the Pro version.
You can review both versions here: Review
