Google Showing More Results For Domains
Google Showing More Results For Domains
Google recently started showing more results for each domain that was searched. For example if you perform a search for google dot com for example, you will see www dot google dot com, google dot com/xhtml, www dot google dot com/analytics and so one. If you notice that each of the first three results Google is displaying for the search “google dot com” is showing pages / URL’s from Google.com and not google dot com, xyz dot com and abc dot com. Google has been changing this formula for quite some time and have recently decided to add even more results for the domain you are searching for. Reason being is that Google believes that they should give their users the most relevant feedback after conducting a search and they have the right idea. They have also added a “More results from google dot com » ” link under the domain / website you just did a Google search for. If you click More results from Google it will confirm to the search engine that this is what you are looking for, then you will be provided with another results page with even more of relevant links to what you were searching for. These kind of features are what makes Google the superior search engine over Yahoo, Bing and others.
If you would like to see another example of what I am talking about you can do a Google search for site:www dot google dot com in order to see the same results displayed by Google for a deep search on a particular domain. Also Google has other interesting search commands that can help an experieced search engine marketer or just a every day user. Other Google commands can be found at this link
“http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=136861″ additional search commands can be found here: “http://www.searchcommands.com/google/” I hope this was a informative enough article that will make you go and try some of these out for yourself in order to make your internet and Google using experience a better and more accurate search tool.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I will be more than happy to send you more information regarding Google commands and useful SEO tips.

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – Web Optimization and More; Inside Tips From a New York Web Design Company
As an SEO consultant and author I spend a lot of time looking for the best Web designers from the US and abroad. We exchange our best tips and then discuss the results we got from those tips. Designers teach me better design and I share tips on how to get their great sites to the very top of Google, MSN and Yahoo. The most recent collaboration stands out among others and was a huge success. The information we shared helped each of us do better than ever before so we decided to publish our findings for you. That said; here is an interview with a New York Web design firm.
What makes a New York Web design company any different from other Web design companies? That’s easy… Competition. Just look at how many design firms there are out there and you will see what I mean! In the city or outside, someone seeking high quality Web design in New York faces hundreds of choices in an area of just a few city blocks. Now that’s competition!
If you are not from the area it can be difficult to envision. This might help… Imagine typing “New York web design” into Google’s search box and getting hundreds of pages with thousands of links of returns. Instead of clicking on those links however, you’re walking into hundreds of offices; each offering their own unique flavor of Web design.
But, with the competition comes a competitive edge that is critical in a struggling economy. Of course we all want to look good on the Internet, but when you’re competing with your real live neighbors in addition to those online; you have to step it up a notch.
With that said, I offer some inside advice from a successful New York Web design firm. Let’s focus our attention on Website usability. This has the unfortunate distinction of being both the most important yet generally least considered aspect of design all too often and the Website owners suffer for the oversights.
First off, most people do not really read a Web page at first glance; they scan it to see if there is something worth actually reading. You need to get their attention right away and keep it. Here’s how…
1.) Jump in with your most powerful content right off the bat. Grab hold of their attention immediately and keep it. Never save the best for last unless you have something nearly as good to lead the reader there.
2.) Keep your functional areas as consistent as possible throughout your site. This is especially true of the navigation links (top, left, right, etc.) search fields, logins, and anything else needing user interaction. The more at ease your visitor feels working through the site, the more likely he or she is to stay for a while and go even deeper.
3.) Embed a link to your homepage within your company logo. This is expected by just about every site visitor who has been on the Web for any length of time. It’s a safety net many users rely and to deny it could result in major inconvenience to your visitors.
4.) Add a search box in an easy to find, consistent location. And be certain it searches ONLY within your Website. Having a search feature that offers to “Search The Web” gives your visitors an invitation to leave your site. Why would you want that?
Secondly, keep in mind that search engines will also be looking at your site. Making it pretty is not enough. It needs to attract the search engine as much as live visitors if you ever expect those live visitors to find it in the first place. This is known as search engine optimization, or SEO. It’s more complicated today than in years past but still quite doable. Here are three “must do” tasks for you to complete if you want your site on top of Google.
1.) Use keywords as anchor text (the visible clickable words) in your links throughout your page’s content. This is huge! Allow me to demonstrate how powerful this one element can be.
Navigate to Google.com and run a search for the term “Click Here” (no quotes.) Take note of two things right away… Number one, there are more than 1.6 billion other (competing) Web pages. Number two, the top match returned is a link to Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Ready for a surprise? Click Here is not anywhere on the page text or META tags. The page is number one, out of 1.6 Billion pages, because thousands of Web pages supplying a link to Acrobat “Click Here” as their anchor text of choice. Amazing, isn’t it?
This is great news for you! You can easily take advantage of that power by linking to and from pages within your Website. Which leads us nicely into Tip number two…
2.) If you deem that SEO is a priority for your site, create a unique page for each of your main keywords. Just be sure to link the anchor text from each page to the page that has that specific keyword as its focus.
Industry Advice: If you are a blog specialist or Web designer by trade, offering SEO as part of your services is a natural fit that can double the value of your work, or more. With so many good SEO products available to help you get professional results with minimal effort, you can usually rely on reputation as a good indicator of potential success. For example, eBay, Motorola and Lexmark all stake their online success on a tool you can get for 0 at http://www.iBusinessPR0M0TER.com.
3.) Relevant anchor text should also be at the top of your mind when you are requesting inbound links from other sites. This is what Google uses as its strongest measurement to gage the quality of your pages.
This is how you can build your brand using your own words. Getting visitors there is only half the challenge, keeping them is a whole different matter.
Now, similar to tip number 2, you want to request specific keywords be used in the anchor text leading to your pages from other sites. And be sure to request each link to the most appropriate page. Just linking to the homepage doesn’t cut it anymore.
Warning: Avoid reciprocal link farms like the plague! They are so easy for Google to spot it’s a joke.
If you are in need of quality links but don’t have time to setup link partnerships yourself, you may want to try a service that facilitates “3 way linking” like the one at http://www.3WayLinker.com.
It’s very simple and really pretty ingenious. Here’s how it works… Site 1 links to Site 2. Site 2″ links to Site 3. And Site 3 links to Site 1 forming an indirect chain of one way links.
That’s all for now. Good luck!

69-Year-Old First-time Author Turns Frustration Into Paperback Gold
I recently read an article about a first time author who is enjoying runaway success with her book on shopping etiquette. After learning it was written by a 69-year-old grandmother, and stroke victim, I decided to call her for an interview. Long story short; I learned more in that conversation than my last year of grad school. Her unbeatable attitude and ‘back to basics’ tips are priceless.

10 Tips to Help Beginners Become More Comfortable with the Internet
10 Tips to Help Beginners Become More Comfortable with the Internet
Today (free of charge, zero money down, no shipping and handling) I’m providing you with a list of tips that, when followed, will cause your aura to radiate “INTERNET EXPERT” like a big, bright neon sign.
I suggest at least a modest attempt at making the following practices somewhat automatic for you. At the least, devotion to these practices will keep others’ eye-rolls, snickers, and impatient sighs at bay. At the most, you may find yourself being carried about on your co-workers shoulders all day, caught in an outpouring of endearing stares, listening to shouts and cheers of respect somewhere along the lines of “Hear hear for the Internet Expert!”
TIP #1: Never ever use the terms “AOL” and “Internet” as if they were completely interchangeable.
Example no-no: Someone asks if your company has a website. You reply, “Oh yeah! We’re totally on AOL!” Big awful buzzer sound here. AOL is NOT the Internet; AOL is simply one of many browsers that allows you to maneuver about the Internet. It is also a company that likes to put holographic CDs covered with infomercial-like promotions in post offices in attempts of persuading more people into using their services.
TIP #2: Click correctly.
When you’re surfing about the Internet, you likely get from place to place using hyperlinks (a.k.a. “links”). You should be aware that links require nothing more than a single click from the left button on your mouse. Double (or triple . . . or quadruple) clicking and right-clicking on links when you simply want to be taken to a different location are a few of the primary causes of those behind-your-back eyerolls you may not know people have been sending your way. Remember this: With links on the Internet, “one-click, that’s it.”
TIP #3: Remember that search engines are for searching, not for typing in complete URLs.
This means that you do NOT need to head over to Google or Yahoo Search or any other search engine to reach the specific website you already know you want to visit. Instead of typing “www.google.com” into your address bar and then typing in the URL of the site you want to visit in the search box. . . just SKIP going to Google and type the URL of the site you want to visit in the address bar instead!
TIP #4: Understand the term “download” and know how to pull files off the Internet onto your computer when you need/would like them. If you are unclear about the term ‘downloading’, take a look at the simple explanation offered right here.
TIP #5: Use an Internet browser that’s not older than your average kindergartner.
I’ll tell you right now: if you’re using something along the lines of Netscape 1.0 (born 1994) or Internet Explorer 2.0 (born 1996)—you’re seriously not appearing Internet Savvy. To be completely honest, even the use of AOL or Internet Explorer 5 to navigate the web won’t help your image (or your overall Internet experience) all that much either. To appear savvy, consider downloading and using something a bit more recent, such as Internet Explorer 7, or Firefox 3.
TIP #6: When someone’s surfing the Internet with you and they ask you to “open up a new window,” do NOT furrow your brow and say “huh??”.
This will most definitely not make you appear Internet savvy. Instead simply reply (in an oh-so-suave tone, of course) “Why, of course!”. Then either hold down the “Ctrl” and then the “N” keys on your keyboard OR click on the “File” menu button at the top of the browser screen, then click on “Open New Window.” Many people find that having more than one browser window open at once is extremely handy for viewing multiple websites simultaneously. Try it out.
TIP #8: Whenever a friend or coworker asks a question that no one in the near vicinity can answer, calmly say “Oh I know that.”
Then excuse yourself for just a moment, run to your computer, hop on the Internet, access Google (or your favorite search engine), look up the answer, and return to the questioning party with an eloquent, detailed explanation. Simply being aware that the Internet is home to a mind-boggling amount of information about pretty much everything instantly makes you appear more savvy in general to those around you. It may also encourage you to search the Internet with more regularity, which in turn boosts your true Internet savvy—not simply the appearance of it.
TIP #9: DO NOT click on flashing advertisements that: a) claim you’re the sites 1,000,000th visitor, b) ask you what your favorite color is and show you 4 or 5 circles or hearts or something of the sort, c) state that you were randomly chosen from all site visitors to win 0, etc. etc. etc.
People who are Internet savvy know that those type of advertisements are nothing more than tremendous wastes of time.
TIP #10: For heaven’s sake: always remember that the Internet does not bite.
So don’t act like it does—especially when you’re in the company of others. Doing so will not make you appear Internet savvy.
And that, my friends, is a list of tips that should help you on your way. If you don’t actually become Internet-savvy, well then, I suppose at the very least . . . you can at least appear it. Have fun!
At Least 7 Success Tips For A More Profitable Year, Online
At Least 7 Success Tips For A More Profitable Year, Online
“I learn something new every week – do you?”
Well that’s how I started this article in 2003, after my very first successful year online, as a full-time affiliate marketer.
Whilst each year following continues to throw up new challenges, there are still several ways of ‘doing things right’, that can improve your chances of success this year, whatever line of business you are in.
So what follows are essential tips to help you do just that.
So let’s begin with an obvious tip, shall we.
1. Plan
Plan what work you’re going to do, and stick to the plan.
A plan could consist of a set of daily activities – reply to your emails, visit a forum or two, create more content for your site – or it could consist of a set of activities you want to complete in a given month.
Whatever techniques or strategies you use, make sure you plan what you’re going to do first.
2. Try not to rely on one income source
Try not to rely on one source of income, or one website, or even one marketing strategy (only using Google AdWords, or only writing articles for example).
I have been relying on getting free visitors from my natural listings on Google for far too long. And now, due to recent changes in the way Google works, this strategy is failing.
Do you rely too much on Google, or a particular marketing strategy?
And what would happen if this strategy suddenly stopped working?
Make sure you put some alternative strategies in place, some alternative pillars of income, if you like.
3. Commit to learning
Commit to continuing to learn on a regular basis.
You can do this via an online forum, via a free ebook or website, or you can buy a suitable internet marketing product/service from a source that you trust and respect.
You can even find your favourite source of free articles and read the latest every week.
4. ‘Your attitude is everything’
Your attitude to success (and failure) is all important.
There are plenty of ways to succeed online, as you may well know; ultimately, however, what you do is not as important, as *how* you do it.
I’m talking about your attitude. A positive attitude, combined with persistence, and a willingness to keep on learning, will seriously improve your chances of success.
Here are a few pointers, to turn around your attitude, should it be necessary:
“Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right!” – Henry Ford
“Stop wasting time on things you’re not passionate about.” – Phil Wiley from ozemedia.com
“Successful people KNOW the best way to ensure *their* success is by helping other people become successful… You earn money *only* through satisfying the needs and wants of *others*” – Boris Vene and Nikola Grubisa from TheMillionaireMind.com
(Note: after reading that statement I decided to create a helpful guide to buying digital cameras, for one of my affiliate sites. It helped both my visitors, who had a helpful guide to what is a somewhat confusing purchase, and it helped my business (via Google adsense advertising).)
“The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.” – John Wesley Powell
Etc.
Get your attitude right, simple as that.
5. Continue doing things right
The tips below are some that featured in the original version of this article. Basically, if you get things right once then make sure you keep on doing them right.
6. Get right to the point with your website.
What is it’s main purpose? What is it’s secondary purpose?
7. Spend time on activities that make you money.
If you don’t know what activities these are, then find out.
8. Words still matter on the web.
Learn to write copy that is both clear and helpful to your site visitor, written with your voice, AND that the search engines like.
9. Backup your work
Backup your work on a regular basis.
This is a very easy thing to state, but a very difficult thing to implement. We all know that we should backup our files, our mailing lists, our databases, our websites, but how many of us do it!
So this tip applies to everyone, including me.
Again, backup your work.
Don’t just nod your head in agreement – do it!
Okay, that’s enough.
It’s now over to you to integrate these successful tips and strategies into your business life.
Keep learning, keep using the right tools, and keep persevering, and you will succeed online.
Wishing you your most profitable year, yet.

Why You Need to Optimize Your SEO Content for More Than Just Google
Why You Need to Optimize Your SEO Content for More Than Just Google
If you simply optimize your website SEO for Google, you could be missing out on a huge untapped number of potential visitors to your website. Although it’s true that Google is the leading search engine and accounts for over 70% of all search-related traffic, that doesn’t mean that you should start and end your website SEO at Google.
While there’s no denying the results and traffic that a professionally SEO-enhanced website will bring you, and that Google plays a large part of that, take the time to think about these figures. Sure, Google accounts for 70% of all search engine traffic – yet that leaves 30% unacounted for.
According to the latest figures from Internet World Stats, there are currently 1,458,632,361 Internet users around the world today. An incredible figure, and one that’s growing all the time. Now, take Google out of the equation and you’re left with 437,589,703 users – almost half a billion! Let’s say that only 20% of these users are business browsers – that’s still an incredible 87.5 million users.
Can your business afford to miss out on these web users simply because you’re concentrating on optimizing your website for Google? If you’re like the vast majority of businesses who can’t afford to miss out on this untapped goldmine, there are ways that you can ensure you have the best possible chance of capturing that untapped audience:
Use an expert content provider in SEO that can write for the different search engines
Purchase international domain names for your website – the Asian market in particular is about to explode and the international URL’s will help you in this market and others
Depending on the size of your company, set up localized blogs. Outsource writers if you need to – the extra cost will be worth it
Understand how the different search engines rank content and tailor different pages on your website for different search engines
Losing business through tougher trading or economical reasons is bad enough – losing business through easy-to-remedy optimization of your website’s content is worse. Making sure your SEO is truly search engine friendly is achievable and the best starting point is providing SEO content that is friends with more than just Google.
Adsense Tips – Make More Money From Your Website
Adsense Tips – Make More Money From Your Website
If you’re fed up with making peanuts from Adsense, then here’s a few Adsense tips to get your income up and running.
Content
Do you have plenty of good content on your site – and by that I mean keyword-rich content? To make good money with Adsense you should be aiming for at least 50-100 pages on your site – all of them with at least 500 words of content.
Keywords
If you’re not sure what a keyword is, visit Overture or Wordtracker and do some simple research there as to what keywords people are typing into the search engines. Each page should be optimized for at least one keyword, but the idea of sprinkling a few minor keywords through your pages will attract you instant traffic whilst you wait to rank for the more competitive keywords. Many people don’t even think of the one obvious place to get advice, which is from Google themselves! They have plenty of free resources to help you make the most of Adsense, including the “heatmap” which will help you to place your ads in the most profitable position.
You can also just type in “Free Adsense Keywords” to the search engines and you’ll find plenty of websites offering you free keywords as an incentive to sign up to their program. You won’t have to pay a cent and this’ll get you started on finding high paying keywords.
More Web Site Traffic
If you’ve already got good content that’s keyword rich, then work to increase your search engine traffic.
First, ensure that you are listed in the major search engines. If you’re listed but simply not getting any traffic, there’s some easy ways to get more search engine traffic in just days:-
Build links to your site – personally I use Link Metro to get those first links up and running and this means that the search engines naturally find and index your site
Write and submit articles to the article directories. Within 24 hours of submitting an article you can have a flood of targeted search engine traffic arriving at your site
Continue to add content – either through more pages, articles or by writing a blog. If you update your blog regularly and then ping it using Pingomatic, you’ll find you’ll be getting plenty of free traffic. Add to this by submitting your blog to the blog directories and you’ll increase your blog site traffic even further. So, don’t forget to put the Adsense code on your blog pages too! Traffic Exchanges – using a traffic exchange such as the popular Traffic Swarm is an easy way of gaining more web site traffic
Ban Proof Your Site
Make sure that neither you nor any of your friends, relatives and work colleagues accidentally or deliberately click on your site. It’s worth telling them that by clicking on your site they’re not helping you but may get you banned from Google!
Adsense Tracking
If you’re serious about Adsense, then tracking the keywords which are making you the most money and developing additional content around those keywords is a must. The addition of some simple code to your site can be a real eyeopener as to just where and how you are making money.
If you’re not ready for this just yet, consider using the channels that Google offer to monitor how each page is doing.
Click Through Rate
Well, as you’ll probably know, due to Google’s terms of service, no-one is allowed to discuss their actual click through rates (CTR’s). However, by simply using the Google heatmap you can improve a dire CTR (by that, I mean anything less than 3%).
If your CTR is already doing OK but you’d love to boost it further, then investing in resources provided by the Adsense expert will be an investment you can literally recoup in days or hours.
Learn from the Adsense Experts
With so many sites competing to share the latest Adsense secrets with you, many authors offer incentives to let you see just what they have to offer.

Will An Automated Twitter Account Result In Do More Harm Than Good? (Part One)
Will An Automated Twitter Account Result In Do More Harm Than Good? (Part One)
Accounts that automate Twitter generally is a bad idea, if overdone any way. People that are legitimately just hanging out and mingling with their pals won’t run into this problem, however, if we are attempting to use Twitter for a advertising and marketing platform it may possibly only bring failure should you over do it. Automation may work with other aspects of online marketing such as, article submission or social bookmarking. Social marketing is just that – sociable, while bookmarking is more like merely letting people know that you are out there ready to link up.
Like I said, a certain amount of Twitter automation can be fine and sometimes vital so long as it’s not over done. For instance, the main concept of marketing with Twitter is to get yourself a substantial follower base – but what benefit is it to build thousands of followers if they are college students and single parents if you are promoting relationship counseling? 500 targeted followers is much better the 50,000 untargeted followers. For that reason, bulk following or blasting software will be a bad approach. Yes they might add thousands to your account, but half of them are not interested in you and the other half have sense disappeared and not been on Twitter in many months or years. There are many paid services that will let you enter keywords and phrases and then they’ll go get targeted followers on your behalf and add them. On that note, twollo (dot) com allow you to add two keywords at no cost. More then 2, you pay.
The manual alternative for the paid websites are sites like ‘twellow’ ‘justtweetit’ and ‘whoshouldifollow’. Manually plug in a search term and get loads of choices. Not automated, but a bit of elbow grease will get you a sizable TARGETED follower base.
The next most monotonous part of a Twitter account is monitoring the new followers, following back, posting welcome messages, catching those that un-follow and maintaining a balance between followers and follow’ies. In other words – account maintenance.
This is just one of those ‘must have’ automated Twitter tools. One popular program is SocialOomph (dot) com. Once known as ‘TweetLater’ this website lets you auto follow and auto un-follow individuals. This on it’s own ıs really a enormous time saver. At the same time it enables you to immediately deliver a direct message to the new followers. This brings up another judgment question..
Just what exactly ought to be the first tweet I send my new friends?
Picture this. In real life, do you go up to a fresh potential customer and begin showing them the cool goods you have to sell? Yeh, you can, but probably not have a job as a salesman very long. Direct Message manners will go something like this:
• Never: ‘Thanks for following me, now go have a look at my $hit @ . . . ‘
• Maybe: Offer a free gift by pointing them to your squeeze page
• Better: Offer a free gift with no optin page – let the e-book steer them to you websites if they’re curious.
• If all else fails: Don’t send out a message at all! Like my mama used to say.. ‘If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.’
Personally I’m in favor of the last 2 choices.

More Twitter Followers In 10 Simple Steps
“How do I get more traffic?” is the cry far and near. There are numerous strategies to acquire more traffic and the proper use of Twitter is one of them. Note that I said proper, there is an improper way and in this article we will address these.
1. Make sure you take the time to compose a Twitter bio that will portray the message that you want others to know about you. What do you want them to know about you that are pertinent to your online business or other wards? Your bio will inspire people to follow you or not. Take the time to make it count.
2. Have you made any tweets before following people and hoping they will follow you back? In addition to a bio that informs people about yourself you want to post tweets that will inspire people with trust and confidence in you. Your tweets should be about your business. Provide links to your blog, website or content that you penned to let people know who you are.
3. Build rapport. Many people make the mistake to just sell to the people that follow you on Twitter. You want to create a relationship. If you write or find articles that will benefit your followers tweet them. If you find something that you think your followers will like then tweet them. Links to YouTube videos or other helpful resources are good.
4. Your Tweets need to grab the readers attention like a headline or subject line. Show that you can grab people’s interest. Since you have a limited number of characters you can use you should shorten your links. We will discus programs that will help with your Twitter account in another tip.
5. “Share the Love” Re-tweet other people’s tweets and some will return the favor, which will expose you to other people who may then decide to follow you. When people do re-tweet your tweets then you should thank them. It only takes a minute to click a button and say thank you.
6. Reply to people’s tweets, give them a compliment or thank them for sharing. These people may also decide to send you @ messages, which will also make their followers aware of you. Remember that you are part of a community and you can build valuable relationships.
7. Follow all of Twitter’s rules about following and un-following. Don’t become too aggressive or your account will be suspended. Try to keep to a 1 to 1.5 ratio.
8. Don’t be known as a spammer. If it is your intention to use Twitter to market to people it is recommended that you only have one marketing Tweet in every 10 Tweets. If all you do is try to sell people something, they will stop following you. Doing nothing but marketing tweets could get you labeled as a spammer, which could result in being banned. Remember Twitter is about being social first and marketing, if you do any marketing, second.
9. If you are using Twitter to market then look into software to do your Twitter work for you. There is one free website that can really help you use Twitter with more efficiency, Hootsuite.com. This service will submit your Tweets to a variety of sites for you. You will also be able to schedule your tweets so you can take your time to set up a day’s worth or more of tweets.
10. Software for automating Twitter is becoming more and more prominent and these programs will help you save a lot of time by finding specific followers for you based on keywords in their bio or even their associations within Twitter. This software will automate a lot of the manual tasks you would normally have to spend a lot of time doing. This way you won’t spend your time opening and clicking on the links of hundreds and thousands of emails. You can schedule tweets and much more. Review a number of these programs, automate Twitter and save your time.

5 Quick Tips To Be More “Google-able”
5 Quick Tips To Be More “Google-able”
Being found in Google has become one of the most important aspects of running a business (and a business website), and it’s something that I work to accomplish on a daily basis. However, establishing better local results through Google is as simple as a 5 step process:
Submit To The Listings Of Google — Google provides a great business service through Google Places. You are able to provide hours of operation, photos, videos, coupons, and various product offerings. But, in this past month, Google Places has added the following: (1) Service Area – you can now show geographic areas that you serve, (2) Advertise through tags, and (3) real time updates.
Brighten the Beacon Through Directories — One of the best ways for Google to find you is through your use of directories. The easiest way to do this is search for the top 50 free business directories, and submit your information to 5 each day for 10 days. This will make the process easier to complete and less tedious. To start, you can visit www.dmoz.org.
Research Your Competition — The bottom line to this is that you do not want to reinvent the wheel, but you want to create a better/more efficient wheel than your competition. So, spend a day and research what categories and keywords your competition is using. This will allow you to see what is working for them as well as how you can deliver better quality content. Now that you have that information, you can hammer home user generated unique content.
Encourage Reviews – You have a unique opportunity with your business in that you can encourage and promote reviews on social media sites. Google has a section in the Google Places page where people can leave reviews and critiques of your services, but it doesn’t end there; City Search is a great place to utilize if you are in a major city, and Twitter is another (more public) place to encourage people to review. My suggestion, though, is to give them some sort of direction (i.e. Provide a specific hashtag to use on Twitter so that you can use that to promote your business as well).
Back To Basics — Venture back to the basic idea of anchor texts and internal links. Anchor down the locational keywords (i.e. restaurant in Denver with your home page, and utilize those directional keywords). You cannot undervalue the internal links that you create through your own site as well as commenting on other social media sites with your locational keywords linked back to your page.
These quick tips are enough to get your local results through Google to improve, but remember that you always want to be improving on what you already have. So, stay tuned and stop in frequently to see what other information we can produce to help you help your business.
How to get more followers on Twitter within 24 Hours
How to get more followers on Twitter within 24 Hours
Many internet marketers know that web traffic and low-cost advertising are the two main keys to successful online marketing, which is why sites like Facebook and Twitter have become the ultimate source of web traffic as well as actual online income. Twitter, for instance, has become so popular among web surfers of all ages because it is not your average social networking site, celebrities actually have accounts, and it isnât time consuming and dragging at all. But before we delve more into the money-making opportunities of Twitter, letâs take a look at what this website is really about and why you as an online marketer should learn how to get more followers on twitter.
Twitter is an online micro-blogging and social networking website wherein people sign up for their own Twitter accounts and âblogâ or âtweetâ anything and everything that they would like their followers to know about. It allows tweets of up to 140 characters (including spaces), which will be read by followers. Now, what makes Twitter such a popular website is not only the social networking aspect but also the money-making aspect in which sellers can use their Twitter accounts as a low-cost advertising and communication tool for their products and services. In learning how to get more followers on twitter, all they have to do is follow other peopleâs Twitter profiles and hope that these people will follow them as well.
The thing is, you need as many followers as you can to be able to become successful in using Twitter for online marketing because these people are looking for interesting sites that will provide them with what they are looking for or what they are interested in. If you have an online business which is in demand by the market today, having as many followers will mean higher chances of driving web traffic to your site and converting them to actual sales. Unfortunately though, a lot of online Twitter marketers have discovered that following people endlessly isnât the answer. Many are wondering how to get more followers on twitter that will not only visit the actual website itself but will also feel persuaded to buy from the seller. If youâre experiencing this problem with your Twitter marketing campaign and would like to know just how to get more followers on twitter, here are a few easy steps:
Never tweet posts commercializing your products and services. This will not only increase your chances of losing Twitter followers but will also affect your performance and reputation as an online seller. Take the time to get to know your Twitter followers, especially those who you believe are looking for the products and services you are currently selling online. This is an important tip when learning how to get more followers on twitter because it helps you build relationships with actual people, building trust and respectability which will convince your loyal and future followers that you are a quality online seller. If you think you need other tools and programs to help you get followers, you can use programs like Tweet Adder that will help you follow people based on the keywords or keyword phrases included in their tweets. For example, if you are selling bags online, you can use Tweet Adder or any other program to look for tweets with the word âbagsâ or âbuy bagsâ and automatically follow them. Lastly, donât forget to interact with your Twitter followers even if it isnât related to your online business. You can send them a nice message about their tweets, reply to really interesting tweets directly, and the like.
