Google Adsense: Having Multiple Sites For One Account

Google Adsense: Having Multiple Sites For One Account

Is it Possible for Me to Have More Than One Site For My Google Adsense Account?

Yes. In fact, the more sites you have displaying Google Adsense ads, the more money you will make. You don’t even have to notify Google of the new sites. Make sure though, that any new site you add conforms to Google Adsense Program Policies, because if your account gets terminated for any reason, you would not be able to display the Google Adsense ads on any of them.

All you have to do is copy and past the same ad layout code you previously copied and pasted to your original site.

The same rules apply when adding an Adsense for Search box to your new site. Simply choose all the parameters from the choices displayed, copy the code to the new site or new pages within the old site. As in the beginning, Google’s webcrawler will detect the code and you’re all set.

How To Avoid Having Your Website Penalized Or Even Banned By Google – Part One

How To Avoid Having Your Website Penalized Or Even Banned By Google – Part One

New internet marketers frequently complain about having no idea why their websites have been banned by Google. The majority of these people claim they have absolutely no idea why they have been banned or penalized. The only thing they are 100 percent sure of is that their website no longer exists in the Google search engine.

There are many on page and off page search engine optimization factors that can result in Google penalizing or even banning your website. Let me deal with some on page optimization strategies that can get you banned by Google. I will explain some off page optimization strategies in more detail later. Now many webmasters actually use these “black hat SEO” strategies in the belief that it will actually result in a high ranking in search engines. As far as I am aware this is simply not the case. They may get away with it for a period of time but ultimately Google will probably find them out and ban them as a result.

If you or someone you know incorporates some of these SEO techniques there are far more simple and affordable small business SEO techniques and strategies that will result in top rankings on Google and you will never get penalized or banned by Google.

Hidden text is an on page optimization SEO technique that some webmasters use to incorporate keywords on their pages which are actually “invisible” to visitors to their website but not to Google. Hidden text is visible by clicking control and “a” on your keyboard when visiting a certain web page. These keywords are invisible for the sole reason that the colour of the text has been made the same colour as the page of the website. For example, if the page has a white background then the text colour is configured to white. There are actually websites that have high rankings that do use this black hat SEO technique, however, why risk being penalized or ultimately banned by Google when you could get to number 1 of Google and stay there indefinitely through legitimate means. Every day these websites have the potential of being banned by Google. For a number 1 website, why would you or anyone else take the risk? There are far more powerful search engine optimization tricks and tips that work with no penalization.

Spamming your alt image tag with keywords is another way you put your website at risk with on page optimization SEO strategies. It is critical to use the alternative text in your alt images as I have explained on a previous occasion. A recommended way of doing this is just using your main keyword once! An example of spamming your alt image tag that could result in heavy penalties by Google includes stuffing your alt image tag with too many keywords. An example of this would be:

Home made dog treats, treats for dogs, recipes for dog treats, low fat home made dog treats, home made dog treat recipes, low fat home made dog treat recipes, food for dogs, home made dog food, home made dog food recipes, low fat home made dog food recipes.

I think you get the idea! Notice how many times the alternative text example above uses keywords related to dog food. The idea behind alternative text in image tags is to assist blind people navigating webpages. Spamming your alt image tags serves no purpose at all and could ultimately get you penalized or even banned by Google. A better example to use the image tag is by simply typing in “home made dog treats”.

Cramming your page title tag with a repeat of the same keyword is another way you risk being penalized by Google. An example of this would be having a title that said home made dog treats, home made dog treats, home made Dog treats, Home Made Dog Treats, etc. As previously discussed, you should only place your main keyword once in the page title. Doing it anymore than that can result in serious penalties.

Overstuffing your keyword metatags is another way you could catch the eye of Google, for all the wrong reasons. This is done by repeating the same one keyword over and over again in your keyword meta tags. An example of this would be affordable small business SEO, affordable Small Business seo, Affordable Small Business Seo, AFFORDABLE SMALL BUSINESS SEO.

These are just a handful of what people do online that ultimately can result in being banned by Google. A fraction of these people may not be aware that what they are doing is wrong, others may not be so innocent. I would highly recommend that if you or anyone else you know is using any of these black hat SEO techniques and strategies that you immediately stop before it’s too late. When there are so many affodable, economical and effective SEO techniques and strategies that can actually result in a number 1 ranking on Google that would never put you or your website at risk, why would you take the risk?

Winning at ‘Google-opoly!-Why just having a website is not enough

Everyone loves the game Monopoly.  In its many variants, it has to be one of the world’s most popular board games.

Easy to learn, but challenging to master, I know that I’ve spent many hours buying up properties, adding houses and hotels, and acting like Snydley Whiplash, when someone would land on one of my properties.  (Remember Snydley?…Dudley Dooright, of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police..??….oh, never mind!)

Surprisingly, I’ve come to the conclusion that I am now playing a version of Monopoly on the Internet…no, not the on-line version of the  game.  I call it  GOOGLE-OPOLY!

OK, that’s not my word.  If you search for Google-Opoly, you will  find references to grumblings years ago, from bloggers complaining about how Google seemed to be chasing a ‘monopoly’ on search engines.  But I digrese.

Think about it.  There are 10 organic listings on the left side of a Google page.  Compare those spaces to the properties along any one side of a Monopoly board.  My strategy with Monopoly was basically the same:  buy ALL the properties on one side of the board; load them up with houses & hotels; sit back, and watch the fun….and MONEY…roll in.

The strategy in Google-opoly, is the same;   obtain as many ‘properties’ as you can, thus raising your visibilty for that search term.  But the properties I’m talking about are  the ten organic listings on Google’s Page 1.  Let me repeat that:  you want to ‘occupy’ as many of those spaces as possible.

I know what you’re thinking.  “Wait a minute.  It’s challenging enough to get a high ranking for any web site  on Google, let alone get to Page 1.  And now, you’re saying to get MULTIPLE listings on Page 1?  How is that achievable?”

I need to clarify one item.    I’m not talking about getting your web site on page 1;  I’m talking about submitting an online video about your business.

By now, everyone knows about the popularity of online videos, and how the search engines are giving properly optimized videos Page 1 rankings within HOURS.

But it is the submission of videos to multiple video sharing sites, that cause the search engines to list not just one video, but several videos from different sites.  A single video, submitted to  different video sites, is seen as separate files.  Thus , the search engines will actually list it several times.

Video submission software, such as Video Wildfire, allow the end user to submit a single video to up to 50 video sites, at the click of a mouse.

Those ten listings on Page 1 are the most  valuable real estate on the Internet,  especially for local search.  Those are the 1st ads that the person doing the search will see.  If your video is not on Google’s Page 1, your chances of being found drop dramatically.  Most people will stop at page 1.  With online video submissions making it possible for a single company to have multiple listings on Page 1, there is a very genuine possibility of a single business concern having ALL TEN listings.

It can be done.  I’ve done it.  I have several keyword phrases where I have 8, yes, all TEN  listings on Page 1 of Google.

For local search, for a keyword phrase returning 300,000 results or less, it is very likely that  a local company can submit multiple videos, over time, say once or twice a month, and sustain their control over a chosen keyword phrase.

A 30-60 second video will grab a prospect’s attention, make your short ‘pitch’, and direct them to your website or phone number.  It’s really no different than a 30-second commercial on TV…only when people find your video, they’re actually looking for the information. And, an online video is a whole lot less expensive than a TV commercial!

The important thing to remember is that your company gets Found!  And for that to happen, you need to be on Page 1.

How To Avoid Having Your Website Penalized Or Even Banned By Google – Part Two

Today I am going to spend some time focusing on off page optimization factors that over 50 percent of website owners are currently doing resulting in being penalized or even banned by Google altogether.

There are some common myths that people have regarding backlinking campaigns (ie. getting other websites to link back to you). Some of these misconceptions are that page rank 0-1 websites won’t help your ranking. Another misconception is that you will be panelized or banned from Google by having unrelated websites linking back to you. Another common misconception is that you will get penalized by having a link farm linking back to your website.

The bottom line is that you can only get banned or penalized by Google as a result of your linking campaign if there are penalized websites linking back to you. Let me take an example. You have set up a link exchange with a PR4 website. Two months go by and you are still happily linking to that person. However, in those two months that website has been utilizing black hat SEO strategies that I have discussed on another occasion and this has resulted in them being penalized or banned by Google. Unfortunately for you, you are still linking to that website which now has a very bad reputation with Google and as a result Google could impost some heavy penalties upon you without you or your website actually doing anything “wrong”.

To find out if a website has been gray barred by Google simply go to that website and look at the Google toolbar page rank result at the top of your web browser. You can download the Google toolbar for free if you don’t already have it. If the toolbar is completely gray it means the site has been banned by Google. That’s why it’s highly recommended that you go back every once in a while – once a month is a good guide – to websites that are linking to you to make sure they have not been penalized in any way by Google.

In fact, if you do discover that one of your link partners has been penalized or barred by Google just deleting them from your links page could result in a dramatic increase to your ranking almost immediately. If you notice that any of your link partners have a page rank of 0 this could easily mean they have a brand new website and don’t have a Google page rank yet. It could also mean that they have been banned. A way to find this out is by looking to see if the website is still indexed by Google.

Let’s say for argument sake that you have a link partner with a page rank of 0. Simply go to Google and type in their url into the search box. If it is a new site that may not appear in the index. However, if the website is not new then the probability is that they have been banned by Google and you should stop any association with them.

Five Advantages Of Having A High Page Rank

Your Page Rank does not directly influence your ranking in the search engines, but it does indirectly influence your ranking in many ways.

What is a Page Rank?

Google assigns a numeric value to a Web page that represents how important a page is on the web. When one Web page links to another, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. It is Google’s way of determining how important a Web page is.

Listed below are reason why you should pay attention to your Page Rank score.

Your score can add authority and weight to your web site.

No site can get a high score overnight. It’s getting harder and harder to fool Google with illegitimate methods. Google wants to display high quality sites so they will continue to make it difficult for sites other than quality sites to rank well in their listings.

Page Rank is a measure of a site’s popularity

In some ways, your sore is a crude measure of your popularity right or wrong, people do notice your page rank score. There is truth to the theory that if you have lots of sites linking to your site, a lot of people must be reading your content and it must be valuable. Your traffic will ultimately increase as a result of sites linking to yours. What is important to realize though is that a high score usually means that you have valuable links. This is what Google has based their ranking algorithm on.

Google will index your site more frequently.

The higher your score, the more frequently Google’s spider will visit your site to index your content. Google prefers sites that are updated frequently. So they use your Page Rank score to flag high quality sites that needs to be indexed more frequently.

People purchase ads based on a site’s Page Rank

If you sell advertising on your site in the form of banner ads, paid links or other spots, the price of your ads will largely be determined in part by your site’s score.

A high score commands credibility and respect

If your are trying to get links from other sites related to your site, is a good bet that the leaders in your web community will know about Page Rank and will use your score as their first impression. Before they read one word of your content, they will notice your score and decide if they want to link to your site. You will find that people are motivated to your request for partnership, correspondence and reciprocal links whey your site has “PR Cred.”

In conclusion, as a website owner, if you have a high score, you should wear it like a badge of honor. It is a measure of your site’s quality. You are doing something right and have made great progress with your website and business. People have linked to your site and Google has been a witness to that your have done a good job. No one can get a high Page Rank overnight, and it can’t be brought. So if you have a high Page Rank, you can feel pretty confident that you have done a good job of presenting your services, content or products to the world.
