Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – 4 Factors To Think About When Hiring A Google Adwords Consultant
For an online marketer who is aware that Google Adwords can be a good help for his business, he would need some guidelines for him to know how to take advantage of its benefits.
1. Do You Really Need a Google Adwords Expert?
Companies and websites that earn thousands each month are welcome to hire a Google Adwords consultant or expert. However, if you are just a small company or own a small website, one option you can do is to train yourself or one of your employees to master Google Adwords.
But if you don’t have the slightest idea of what you do or what Google Adwords is and what it can do, then you might just lose much money. Each mistake you commit with Google Adwords can cost you a lot. If at this point you are uncertain whether to hire a Google Adwords consultant or not, you might want to ask yourself the following questions before jumping into any decision.
- How much will I be able to save when I hire a Google Adwords consultant or professional?
- How much money will I have to give out to hire an expert?
- How much am I going to get in return?
2. How Will You Search for a Google Adwords Expert?
Silly as it may seem, you can get a Google Adwords consultant through word of mouth. Lately, suddenly everyone presents themselves as Adwords experts but most of them are not. Your best shot at getting a genuine expert is through research – search for Adwords bloggers because most of the time, these people gives out tips and pieces of advice about Google Adwords. They are confident to give out tips since it is common knowledge in the Google community. Adwords bloggers are also qualified to help you understand the ins and outs in Google Adwords.
3. How Much Does a Google Adwords Professionals Cost?
The price depends on the person you hire. It can vary, especially in the field of freelance services and there is no clear-cut estimates as far as their fees are concerned. However, the usual going rate for an Adwords professional lies between to 0 an hour, depending on the experience and the person’s location. Location is a determining factor because somebody working freelance, say from India, will definitely give you almost half the price of the ones you will from New York. The best option you have is to ask for references and check if they were satisfied with the service offered by a certain Adwords expert.
Always remember that a Google Adwords Certification is provided to those who are actually adept with Adwords – both the individual and company level. If you decide to hire a Google Adwords consultant, make sure that the person or the company that he or she is working for has the proper credentials and the actual expertise you need.
4. Or Should You Instead Find a Good Courseand Be the Expert Yourself?
It is much easier to do it on your own than expect someone to do it for you, given the significance and benefits that you can get from Google Adwords. Consider it a good investment for yourself and your business as well.

Factors Determining Google Advertising
Factors Determining Google Advertising
The most popular online advertising tool in market nowadays is Google AdWords. People who has something to offer in the form of products and services are diverting towards Google AdWords even if all of them are not getting the same return. Many people loose a lot of money either through fraud clicks or poor techniques adopted by them. Google adword is the top money making program and there are ways to use this program for free.
People loose a lot of money on Google AdWords but if they follow certain tips, this would give them a better CTR (click through rates) and help to generate more sales. In your Google AdWords posting Google allows you to put in a few sales punch lines.
As Google is the most used search engine in the world, every webmaster has the goal of getting listed in the top of Google results. All have their own ways to accomplish this objective. PPC (pay per click campaign) with Google AdWords is considered as the easiest way, no doubt it is expensive.
PPC campaigns are very useful to manage and optimize each individual ad. You can determine which ads are performing well and which are not. To monitor the ads you require constant monitoring of keywords and click thru rates. The other point to remember is the conversion ratio so that you can see how much money is spend by you in relation to the sales you are getting. There can be an instance where you had spent a lot of money in just a few minutes with no sales at all.
You need to follow certain tips for Google AdWords for successful advertising campaign. This can help to pick up your online sales and increase the rate of CTR (click through rate). Even through the task of posting a single Google adword campaign looks very easy still you need to follow the certain tips. These tips were generally introduced by Michael Cheney.
Always capitalize your ads
Generate killer headlines!
Do not bother to compete with others on expensive keywords
Concentrate on your ad phrases and study every possibility
Throw questions back to your potential buyers that would see your ad
Filter unnecessary target groups through the use of qualifiers in your ads
Do not waste money on sticking more than one keyword for each single ad
Learn from past mistakes and successes and built on them
Thus Google advertising can be fruitful if you follow the above guidelines carefully and optimally utilize your money through the use of AdWords and ppc campaigns.

Top 20 Contributing Factors for Google SEO
Websites are quickly becoming one of the most popular ways of advertising. Whether it be a business, its product or service or something completely different, everyone of all ages are turning to the web as a method of getting their message out there. With the popularity of this marketing medium increasing and the number of websites always growing, it is obvious that everyone wants to appear at the top of Google’s search engine rankings. Achieving such a task is never an easy feat, however with a bit of perseverance, one can definitely increase their chances of reaching that glorious first page result.
Given that there are a heap of websites out there who are on the first page, what is their secret? It is a little industry term called “SEO” and it stands for Search Engine Optimisation. SEO basically consists of the customisation of your website, its content and its internal and external links to assist in the overall indexing and ranking of your website in popular search engines. There are many contributing factors that are used in determining a website’s ranking and every search engine is different. This makes trying to optimise your site for Google, Yahoo, Live and the many others quite a pain staking task.
As most of us are aware, Google is currently the most popular search engine for the majority of Internet users. As such, it is only normal that we’d want to focus our sights on achieving a higher ranking within Google first with a hope that the rest will follow. To do this, we must start a journey that could potentially take months before we start seeing any real change, however we have to start somewhere.
Our journey begins by defining some of the key contributing factors that Google uses to determine a website and webpage’s ranking within its results. These factors range from keyword use to manipulating internal and external links and the list goes on. To get you started, we have listed the top twenty factors that you should focus on in order to help get your website that little bit closer to the top of the search engine results listing.
Keyword Use Factors
The following components relate to the use of the user’s search query terms in determining the rank of a particular page.
Keyword Use in Title Tag – Placing the targeted search term or phrase in the title tag of the web page’s HTML header
Keyword Use in Body Text – Using the targeted search term in the visible, HTML text of the page
Relationship of Body Text Content to Keywords – Topical relevance of text on the page compared to targeted keywords
Keyword Use in H1 Tag – Creating an H1 tag with the targeted search term/phrase
Keyword Use in Domain Name & Page URL – Including the targeted term/phrase in the registered domain name, i.e. keyword.com plus target terms in the webpage URL, i.e. seomoz.org/keyword-phrase.
Page Attributes
The following elements comprise how the Google interprets specific data about a webpage independent of keywords.
Link Popularity within the Site’s Internal Link Structure – Refers to the number and importance of internal links pointing to the target page
Quality/Relevance of Links to External Sites/Pages – Do links on the page point to high quality, topically-related pages?
Age of Document – Older pages may be perceived as more authoritative while newer pages may be more temporally relevant
Amount of Indexable Text Content – Refers to the literal quantity of visible HTML text on a page
Quality of the Document Content (as measured algorithmically) – Assuming search engines can use text, visual or other analysis methods to determine the validity and value of content, this metric would provide some level of rating
Site/Domain Attributes
The factors below contribute to Google’s rankings based on the site/domain on which a page resides.
Global Link Popularity of Site – The overall link weight/authority as measured by links from any and all sites across the web (both link quality and quantity)
Age of Site – Not the date of original registration of the domain, but rather the launch of indexable content seen by the search engines (note that this can change if a domain switches ownership)
Topical Relevance of Inbound Links to Site – The subject-specific relationship between the sites/pages linking to the target page and the target keyword
Link Popularity of Site in Topical Community – The link weight/authority of the target website amongst its topical peers in the online world
Rate of New Inbound Links to Site – The frequency and timing of external sites linking in to the given domain
Inbound Link Attribute
These pieces affect Google’s weighting of links from external websites pointing to a page and ultimately will assist in the ranking of that page.
Anchor Text of Inbound Link
Global Link Popularity of Linking Site
Topical Relationship of Linking Page
Link Popularity of Site in Topical Community – The link weight/authority of the target website amongst its topical peers in the online world
Age of Link
Negative Crawling/Ranking Attributes
There are also some points we should make before you start getting your hands dirty. With any type of SEO marketing, there are some things that can actually have a negative impact on your ranking. These following components may negatively affect a spider’s ability to crawl a page or its rankings at Google.
Server is Often Inaccessible to Bots
Content Very Similar or Duplicate of Existing Content in the Index
External Links to Low Quality/Spam Sites
Duplicate Title/Meta Tags on Many Pages
Overuse of Targeted Keywords (Stuffing/Spamming)
It’s now time to get busy! Start prioritising your tasks, modifying your content and building your internal and external links to meet some of the above guidelines. Keep in mind that improving indexing is mostly a technical task, improving ranking is mostly a business/marketing strategy, what might work now may not work in the future and finally, it takes time. Loads of time. Still, with a bit of trial and error and a good dose of persistence, you can achieve the search engine ranking you’re after.
Important Ranking Factors ? Part 1 of 2
If you have a website, you are probably trying everything in your power to get the best possible rankings in the search engine results pages (SERP’s). It can seem like a long, arduous process, and that is exactly what it is. Great rankings in the search engines do not happen overnight, but with time and diligence, you will start to see results.
This is the first of a two part series dedicated to the important ranking factors. This particular article is devoted to on page optimization. This is based upon years of knowledge and information available from Google. While the requirements and requisites seem to change frequently, at this time this is the most up-to-date information available.
Keyword Usage in URL, Domain Name, and Title Tag
While this may not be possible if you have an existing site, it certainly should be a consideration for new sites. Develop your keywords before you develop your site so you can effectively incorporate these into your domain name. Try to include your primary keyword as the first in the URL, but second will be effective as well. Keywords should be included in your title tag and as close to the beginning as possible. Your title tag should between 10 and 60 characters and with no special characters.
Keyword Usage in Keyword Meta Tag and Description Meta Tag
The description meta tag is used to show the theme of your website. Ideally, it should be less than 200 characters. While Google does not rely on this tag any longer, it will often use it. Keep it to less than 10 words, if possible.
The keyword meta tag consists of keywords that must appear somewhere in the text of your website. If these keywords do not appear, Google may penalize your website’s ranking for not being relevant. No single word should be in the keyword meta tag more than twice or it might be considered span. It’s reported that Google does not use this tag, but other search engines do.
Keyword Density, Font, and Bolding
Five to twenty percent keyword density is recommended. However, the higher the density, the more likely a website will be penalized for being too “spammy.” Placing your primary keywords towards the top of the page, in large, bold font will help with search results as well.
Internal Links
The links you list to other pages on your website should contain keywords in your anchor text. Try to use hyphenated keywords if necessary, but only through the use of one or two hyphens. Make sure the links are not broken on your site. These links should resemble a tree like structure and should not go more than four clicks deep.
Outgoing Links
It’s very important that you link only to good, reputable sites. Link can go bad very quickly and it’s your responsibility to make sure that your police your own links. Link farms or similar sites can quickly create a trust issue with Google, resulting in penalties. Google also says to limit the number of outgoing links to 100; however, many people feel this is not issue.
Fresh Pages and Links
It’s important to update the content on your website. Google seems to appreciate fresh pages and the spiders will continually search your site. Also, creating new links will help as well, but it is also important to keep the older links active as well. Newer pages of an older site will get more recognition than pages that were develop when the domain was created.
These are some of the most important on page ranking facts that Google and other search engines use to determine where your site will end up in the search engine results pages.
Negative Seo Ranking Factors
NEGATIVE SEO RANKING FACTORS
1) WEB SERVER NOT ACCESSIBLE
If your web site is not accessible or server is down on most of the occasions then you are gaining negative rankings.Other issues such as slow server response times can have negative impact on your rankings. Search engines have to crawl content within fraction of few seconds, and they cannot afford to wait 5-10 minutes if your web server responds slowly.
Use a reliable Web Hosting provider
2) DUPLICATE CONTENT
Search Engines hate duplicate content, and if most of your website content is filtered out as duplicate then it will prove detrimental to SEO health of your website seo health
Dont use duplicate content. If you have inadvertently copied content which you found useful, then dont forget to add a link pointing back to the original document url.
3) EXTERNAL LINKS TO BAD NEIGHBOURS/ SPAMMY SITES
If your website has external links which are pointing to low quality websites/spammy websites/ or websites with duplicate content, then you are heading at DEAD-END seo linking
Special Note:On the other hand having quality external links helps to improve SEO rankings. seo linking
4) DUPLICATE TITLE/META TAGS ON SEVERAL PAGES
If your website has several pages with duplicate meta/title tags then it will lower your search engine rankings. Therefore your must ensure that most of your pages have unique TITLE / META tags.
Also avoid internally duplicated content as well as duplicate meta tags
5) KEYWORD STUFFING
Artificial Keyword Stuffing is used in order to inflate keyword density for a particular set of targeted keywords. In reality it results in lower SEO rankings. Therefore keep your keyword density natural and abstain from artificial keyword stuffing aimed at particular set of keywords.
Search Engines can easily detect artificial keyword stuffing aimed at particular competitive keywords.
6) LINK EXCHANGES
Search engines do not entertain websites which indulge heavily in link exchanges. However, if you do link exchange carefully with related business websites then it can help. However, most of the websites should avoid link exchanges.
Special Note:: Avoid Link Exchanges unless the other website owner is your business buddy seo linking
7) Inbound links from SPAM sites
Inbound links from SPAM websites could have negative impact on your TRUST RANK. However, there are cases where certain black hat SEO’s black hat seostart indulging in FREE SPAM PROMOTION for their competitors.
If there is no previous history of SPAM on your website, then search engines will simply ignore the negative spam link building. On the other hand, if certain elements of spam are included/visible on your website, and you have back links from spammy sites, then it could result in a penalty.
Thumb Rule to avoid being penalized
Case 1 : If your website has nothing to do with external links from SPAM Sites, then search engines will simply ignore them. If you can bring down rankings of genuine websites then every new spammy business website would have brought down rankings of existing websites within their business niche.
Case 2: If your website has elements of SPAM present within the website and has a previous history of being associated with SPAMMY sites then you should put R.I.P banner
on the homepage of your website.
Special Note: – There are some unfortunate webmasters s who think that having a back link from low page rank (PR 0) webpage is equivalent to having a back link from SPAM site. Your website’s Page Rank (Google Page Rank) has no relationship with the actual SEO rankings of your website.
Important Ranking Factors Part 2 of 2
While on page optimization is important, of equal important is off page optimization. This can encompasses many areas and should be thought of as a continuous process. It is not enough to build a few links and expect your website to rank high in the search engine results pages. Here are some of the most important ranking factors:
Incoming Links
This is obviously one of the most important aspects of off page optimization. Where it was once thought that Google exclusively ranked pages on the basis of the number of high page rank links, this is not quite the case anymore. While links to your website from sites with high page rank are beneficial, Google now uses a combination of all incoming links to help determine your rankings. Therefore, do not turn down a link to a relevant site just because it doesn’t have a high Google page rank. A good mixture of links to sites with varying page rank will work well.
Rate Which Links Are Built
It was originally thought that the faster you do the link building, the better. This is not the case either. If you build links too quickly, Google is likely to think you are using artificial means to create links. If your website suddenly goes from having 50 links to 3,000 links in a week, Google will probably penalize you.
Age of Links
Just as the age of your domain will affect the rankings in the search engine results pages, the age of your links will affect it as well. If you have established links early on to reputable sites, you are on the right path of good rankings. Also, avoid asking for the anchor text to be changed.
Expert Site Boosts

SEO Secrets Revealed – 6 Organic Factors That Determine your Google’s Rank
Search engine use complicated secret formulas to determine the website’s rank on their lists. It’s called ranking algorithms. Because of the true algorithm is hidden, then many SEO experts keep discussing about what is works and what’s important to affect website’s rank in search engines. I’ve summarized what I believe to be the best advice in 6 points.
HTML page title. This is the most important factor in search engine ranking algorithms. Your page title should be relevance with the content, and put your targetted keyword there. Optimizing your page titles is one of those activities that will quickly affect the way your listing look in the search engines.
Visible HTML text on the page should contain the keyword. SEO pros insist that you need 250 or 1000 words on a page and that 5 to 10 percent of these words must be your target keywords. This percentage is called keyword density. You should use as many keywords and write your content clearly and make sense for the readers.
Inbound links, both the quantity of the links and the quality of the website linking to you. They indicate a page’s quality, popularity, or status on the web. Links with the most quality power to boost rank are links from home page and links from authority pages in the community, meaning pages with collection of supported links from other websites covering the same topic.
Inbound link anchor text also can boost your page’s ranks. Anchor text, is the text that is clickable on the web. It is an important factor in search ranking algorithms. Combining this keyword-rich anchor text with relevant text can make a good effect.
Age of domain is also used by search engines to determine websites rank. Older domain name will be easier to making their way up the ranks than newer ones.
Lesser factors is things like meta tags, image alt tags, page url, etc. also can influence your ranking. Problably hundreds and possibly even thousands of factors in its algorithm.
Page Rank Factors
Page Rank Factors:
PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important.”
Google uses a PageRank “proxy” value, which logarithmically translates the actual PageRank of a document to a value between 1 and 10, to rank Websites, listed in its (which offers a PageRank order or an Alphabetical order for listings).
PageRank is, in essence, a rough system for estimating the value of a given link based on the links that point to the host page. Since Page Rank’s inception in the late ’90s, more subtle and sophisticated link analysis systems have taken the place of PageRank. Thus, in the modern era of SEO, the PageRank measurement in Google’s toolbar, directory, or through sites that query the service is of limited value. Pages with PR8 can be found ranked 20-30 positions below pages with a PR3 or PR4. In addition, the toolbar numbers are updated only every 3-6 months by Google, making the values even less useful. Rather than focusing on PageRank, it’s important to think holistically about a link’s worth.
Here’s a small list of the most important factors search engines look at when attempting to value a link:
The Anchor Text of Link - Anchor text describes the visible characters and words that hyperlink to another document or location on the web. For example, in the phrase “CNN is a good source of news, but I actually prefer the BBC’s take on events,” two unique pieces of anchor text exist – “CNN” is the anchor text pointing to http://www.cnn.com, while “the BBC’s take on events” points to http://news.bbc.co.uk. Search engines use this text to help them determine the subject matter of the linked-to document. In the example above, the links would tell the search engine that when users search for “CNN”, thinks that http://www.cnn.com is a relevant site for the term “CNN” and that http://news.bbc.co.uk is relevant to “the BBC’s take on events”. If hundreds or thousands of sites think that a particular page is relevant for a given set of terms, that page can manage to rank well even if the terms NEVER appear in the text itself Global Popularity of the Site – More popular sites, as denoted by the number and power of the links pointing to them, provide more powerful links. Thus, while a link from top site may be a valuable vote for a site, a link from bbc.co.uk or cnn.com carries far more weight. This is one area where PageRank (assuming it was accurate) could be a good measure, as it’s designed to calculate global popularity. Popularity of Site in Relevant Communities – In the example above, the weight or power of a site’s vote is based on its raw popularity across the web. As search engines became more sophisticated and granular in their approach to link data, they acknowledged the existence of “topical communities”; sites on the same subject that often interlink with one another, referencing documents and providing unique data on a particular topic. Sites in these communities provide more value when they link to a site/page on a relevant subject rather than a site that is largely irrelevant to their topic. Text Directly Surrounding the Link – Search engines have been noted to weight the text directly surrounding a link with greater important and relevant than the other text on the page. Thus, a link from inside an on-topic paragraph may carry greater weight than a link in the sidebar or footer. Subject Matter of the Linking Page – The topical relationship between the subject of a given page and the sites/pages linked to on it may also factor into the value a search engine assigns to that link. Thus, it will be more valuable to have links from pages that are related to the site/page’s subject matter than those that have little to do with the topic.
These are only a few of the many factors search engines measure and weigh when evaluating links.
