Using PPC Ads That Attract More Clicks
Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is the single most powerful direct-response marketing tool that has ever existed.
For the first time ever, any business can directly compete with the world’s largest brands to acquire targeted traffic. While PPC advertising has huge potential to deliver tremendous sales and profits, not a lot of people know how to harness PPC advertising.
A new online marketer may find PPC advertising frustrating, however, once you master the right tactics, PPC advertising will easily become your most powerful profit machine. The good news is that getting started is easier than ever.
If you are intimidated or feeling overwhelmed, just relax…You do not have to master several PPC advertising tools right away.
Your first PPC campaign can be launched in less than a few hours! Because Google is the undisputed search engine leader (with over a 50% market share), start with Google AdWords (Google’s PPC advertising program) and you can save learning about Yahoo!’s online advertising program (formerly called Overture) for later.
If you have never set up a PPC campaign in Google, we strongly recommend that you take advantage of one of the many “Quick Start Guides” that exist on the Internet. We found Perry Marshall’s ebook The Definitive Guide to Google AdWords to be the most helpful.
It clearly explains all the ins and outs and helps you quickly set up your first PPC campaign. In this tactic we’ll reveal our approach to creating PPC ads that outshine the competitors. You too can do this by:
·Matching keywords with ad copy
·Taking customers to a relevant landing page
Let’s take a look at the first step…
Matching Keywords with Your Ad Copy Try including the exact keyword(s) in the ad’s title itself. If the exact keywords show up in your ads, they get highlighted in bold!
If your ad copy matches the keywords exactly, prepare for a significant boost in your click-through-rate (CTR)!
This is why grouping your ads into a list of very similar keywords and phrases was so heavily stressed in the tactic on “Finding Your Keywords.” After all, if you don’t do this, then it will be impossible for your ad copy to match your keywords.
Example:
Keyword Group 1 used the headline “How to Meditate” and gave us a GOOD 1.9% CTR and $0.21 CPC. But Keyword Group 2 used “How to Do Meditation” and was EXCELLENT with a 2.1% CTR and $0.20 CPC. Both headlines are identical with the exception of one important difference: the first includes the keyword “Meditate” in the title and the second includes the keyword “Meditation.” While this might seem like a small difference, it is very important because when someone on Google searches for “Meditation” that keyword is highlighted in bold in your ad!
This small difference alone caused an 11% improvement in the CTR (click-through-rate) and the average cost per click was 10% lower.
A double bonus!
What we are recommending here is not rocket science. However, our detailed research into thousands of keywords revealed that close to 80% of the ads on Google do not take advantage of direct matching.
This means that by matching your ads to keyword groups, you can blow past 80% of the competition! Reward yourself with click-through-rates of up to 15%! Just match the copy of your ad for very detailed keyword phrases.
If someone is searching for stress relaxation techniques, then write an ad that says “Stress Relaxation Techniques.”
This will get the exact phrase in the title of your ad to show up in bold. The only way you can achieve this is to split these phrases into different ad groups.
Taking Customers To A Relevant Landing Page.
After someone clicks on your ad on Google, you only have a few seconds to grab their attention. The visitor wants to know immediately if your page will help them find what they are looking for.
If you send all of your prospects to one generic home page, your advertising campaign is going to suffer, big time! No one wants to waste time clicking around to find something.
So don’t make your visitors do the work. Instead, send them to a specific landing page with the content they want.
Why are we writing about landing pages in a tactic on writing PPC ads?
Your ad and its landing page work together to convert, and only traffic that converts is worth paying for! Customized landing pages for each ad are key to giving your site a serious boost in conversions.
Ok, So How Do I Match the Landing Pages?
Use customized landing pages! Fortunately, there are easy and very effective ways to create customized landing pages that will dramatically boost the return-on-investment of your campaigns.
The first thing you can do is match the main headline of the landing page to the keyword phrase that customers searched for.
This way you immediately grab their attention and give them the confidence that your site will help them find exactly what they are looking for.
Have a separate landing page for each ad group.
Creating Directories That Will Attract Traffic and Raise Your Page Ranking
If your goal is to earn money from Google Adsense through content or article directories, you’re better off setting your sights elsewhere. Directories are not high performers when it comes to Google Adsense ads and if you expect a good stream of income from these, you’re bound to get disappointed. However, there are other things that you can expect from creating directories and if you look closely, they could be your ticket to finding a good source of revenue.
What directories can offer you
Online directories are repositories of Web content; usually articles, write-ups, news, video and audio clips or links to other websites. They can be part of a group of sites found on a larger host site or they can be independent. People go to these sites either to submit content and links or to find them.
Directories are beneficial in several ways:
They bring in traffic.
If you understand how, traffic can be used to bring in revenues through your directory. Once you set this up, visitors come to pay you a visit like writers and site owners who want to submit their articles and webmasters who wish to submit links to their websites. Traffic can be a good source of either cash (if and when you charge for links to your website) and lists for your Internet marketing efforts.
They can get you paid directly.
Again, charging for links will help you monetize your directory. But this can only be done if your site has already built a reputation, is generally popular or at least has a niche following and enjoys a high volume traffic. You can also charge for links if your directory is enjoying a high PageRank. Your directory’s popularity will mutually benefit other sites because it places them in quality company.
Directories provide reciprocal links.
Reciprocal links are simply links that point back to your website. A high ranking directory can do this. More links mean more traffic and better relevancy for your directory.
Creating directories
You could create a basic directory using good old HTML or you could make it easier on yourself by using applications such as Wordpad, Dreamweaver and FrontPage. If you’re computer savvy and know your way around scripts, you can use those instead and simply build a MySQL database. If you want a cheaper way to do it, check out directory scripts being offered for free online.
Determine your subject matter.
What is your goal in putting up a directory? Make this clear from the get-go. This will help you design a well-organized website. You should also decide at this point on the type of subjects you want to include on your directory. It’s a good idea to offer a variety of subjects. Try popular subjects such as finance, credit, gaming, travel, Internet marketing and the like.
You could also take one general subject and then offer to post content that are related to it. Instead of attracting a general-interest audience, you can cater to a niche market instead. You could build a strong following this way.
Provide original content.
Content found in your directory will be contributed from multiple sites. It’s highly possible that those articles will appear in other directories as well. As such, you probably can’t claim to have original material on your website. Since original content has a higher value for page ranking, try to produce original content on a regular basis. Write your own articles or pay for unique content. You can also try to do research on high-value content and then produce materials with those subjects.
Check your webhost for compatibility.
Creating a directory means you will be offering it from a hosted page so it’s a good idea to ask your webhost if it can efficiently run your website. Get a hosting account with a provider that offers you sufficient disk space and plenty of support. To give you an idea of what you will be looking at, let’s take a look at hosts such as Hostgator.com. They charge a monthly fee of about $7 in exchange for an account with 50GB of disk space. For $10 a month, you can increase that capacity to 100GB. There are several other host providers that can offer you similar services. Simply look them up online to compare which one will give you the best service.
Using Twitter.Com To Market Your Music And Attract More Sales & Fans
In this article, I’m going to share with you a very popular
Social Networking site called Twitter.com that you can literally
spend just about 5-10 minute a day on and be able to attract a
very good amount of high quality traffic in the form of fans and
music buyers back to your website or myspace page. And its really fun.
Before we begin, I want to let you know that very few people are
using this method of attracting new fans and attention to their music, why?
Simply because they either A- Don’t know or B- Are to lazy
In fact, if you take the steps that I give you below and apply them
you’ll be way ahead of everyone else.
Are you ready? Great, then lets begin!
Things You’ll Need to successfully use twitter:
* Computer
* Internet / mobile
* Few seconds of time
Step 1 – SMM (social media marketing) is the latest online
marketing trend to hit the music industry because its an highly
profitable and easy way to build brand recognition for you the
artist.
It’s a also a great way to get new fans to your website, blog or
Myspace page through social media like facebook, myspace, flickr,
youtube, digg and the like.
Social media sites are web sites where news, photos, videos and pod
casts are hosted through user submission. If you’ve ever thought that
marketing your music through social media is time consuming,
Twitter is an exception
Step 2 – The reason why I really like Twitter is because it is
a lot easier and simpler social networking and
micro-blogging service. All you will need to do is answer the
question, ‘what are you doing?’ in less than 140 characters. These
short messages are called “tweets”. Your tweets are immediately
displayed on the your profile page and instantly delivered to other
users who are following you (i.e. your fans.)
So for instance, some of your tweets may look like
“I’m in the studio recording a new song for the next CD”
“I’m sitting at the park writing a new song”
“I’m at the SWSX music conference”
So do you see how this works? Pretty easy right?
So how do you start Tweeting?
Step 3 – Sign up for a free twitter account. The most important
thing that you want to remember is to use you Artist name, Business
Name
or Real Name rather than some abstract alphanumeric
combination. This will help build credibility.
The next step is to change a few things in your profile,
immediately. Include keywords about your music and genre, interests
and whatever you want to use twitter for. You can restrict your tweet
delivery to those in your circle, but I suggest leaving the
Default setting in place, which is “delivery to everyone”.
Step 4 – Click ‘find and follow’ to follow people from your aol,
yahoo gmail and other email contacts who are already tweeting. You can
also find people with similar interests by searching for a keyword
according to your Genre or interest (i.e. Jaxx Music, Hip Hop,
Country). Click follow, if you find any interesting.
By the way, My twitter name is TyCohen
Step 5 – Now you are all set to send your first tweet. Type a small
message (max 140 characters including spaces) telling people what
you are doing. You can send tweets through twitter website or
instant messenger or SMS from your cell-phone. You need to confirm
your cell phone number first. Do this by clicking devices.
If you think it doesn’t make any sense and is sheer waste of time,
then you are under estimating twitter potential.
Step 6 – Twitter allows you to add links in the tweets which is a
huge marketing benefit to you. You can use
this to display your own links. For ex: one of my tweets today was
“Using MySpace to Make Your CD Sales Soar!
Step 7 – By tweeting frequently, following and being followed, you
can grow a small community of people with similar interests and who
recognize your name and your brand!
Step 8 – I downloaded a great time saver Twhirl. It is a third
party application for twitter. If tweeting takes around 60 seconds,
Twhirl cuts down that time to below 10 seconds.
Twhirl stays on the desktop (logged in). I don’t need to visit the
twitter website during my hectic workday. All I do is, click the twhirl
icon from the system tray and type a short “whatever I’m doing”
tweet and send. Twhirl also notifies when I receive messages from
my followers or anyone that I’m following. So I don’t miss a thing and
all without wasting my time.
You can also use twhirl to upload pictures to twitpic.com, a site
to share photos.
There are many applications for twitter like twitterfeed (similar
to twhirl), twittervision, which shows the geo position of the your
twitter friends and so on.
So there you go! A quick and easy way to expand your marketing to
millions of people all for free.
Happy Tweeting.

Song Placement And Myspace Play Counts To Attract More Attention That Can Launch A Career In Music
So far, your musical debut on Myspace is going great. You are gaining more friends and everyone is giving you positive comments and feedback on your songs and your page. Now is the time to go after the bigger fish and start attracting more attention, especially the kind of attention that can launch a career in music.
The way to gain popularity and fame on Myspace is by climbing the ranks. The Top Artists are categorized by genres, such as rock, rap, punk, and then by Unsigned, Indie, and Major. Those artists are chosen by the total amount of Plays recorded on their profile page. The songs and how many listeners they collect are very important to musicians.
Having an impressive Total Play Count will gain your band the attention they deserve, so it is important to use what is available to boost those numbers. Most musicians, including those that are signed with major record labels, use promotional tools and Myspace marketing services to help reach those total play count numbers that are so coveted.
The services offered are affordable which is what draws many starting musicians to it. The services have proven to be effective with quick results, using experienced knowledge to gain larger total play counts which will help you to climb the ranks of top artists.
So, obviously, the songs you choose to upload are pretty important. These songs reflect your skill and talent and should be the absolute best you have to offer. Always place your best song first, as that will most than likely be the one listened to most often. When that first song is great, people will want to hear more and will go onto the second song.
If the service is a professional one it will allow you to select a few songs from your page that you would like to promote and use as priority when meeting your promotional plan. So, if you have a specific song that you feel reflects your band or your message you can choose that one for the promotion to concentrate on. When you choose to single out one or two songs for promotion put these songs at the top of the play list. When potential fans come to your page they will listen to these top songs, the ones with the larger play counts, for a sample of your sound.
Myspace is a great way to introduce the world to your music. Numerous musicians are gaining popularity because they are able to use Myspace and all the tools available to their benefit. Being savvy, keeping your page updated with new content, and striving for those higher play counts are ways to attract the attention of peers and even music executives.
Song selection is crucial because these few top songs reflect your style and your band. Placing a song at the top that is sub par is a sure way to be ignored. However, placing songs on top that are representative of your sound and using a proven promotional service for your music marketing campaigns will allow those play counts rise and you will gather more fans, friends, and more attention to your band.
10 Secrets to Using Twitter to Attract More Followers and Get More Clients
Copyright (c) 2008 OnlineBizU.com
I do wonder at times if some Twitter users have any time to get any work done. Several of the more prolific ones that I follow swear they spend no more than 30 minutes a day on Twitter, but I really find that hard to believe. Many times it seems they are twittering just to say something, like “Good morning Twitterverse” when they begin their day, give more details than I want to know about what they had for lunch, what their children said to them, or when they take a nap.
I realize that this is part of the “like, know, and trust” process that enables people to get to know each other, but sometimes it’s simply too much information..LOL. I’m Twittering primarily to market my business. Consequently, I try and limit my personal twitters to no more than 2 per day. My clients, who create Twitter accounts for marketing, as well, tell me, “I’m signed up. Now what in the world do I Twitter about? How do I market my business with this tool?”
Here are 10 strategies that I use regularly to marketing my business and my expertise via Twitter. Remember, you have only 140 characters for your tweet (Twitter post).
1. How you’re helping clients. Talk about specific ways that your business helps clients and use their Twitter ID if you have their permission, i.e. “Just finished @clientname brainstorm great Internet marketing plan for 2009″ or “Finally finished setting up Quickbooks for local hardware store — now they can invoice their clients”
2. What you’re doing in your own business. This is a perfect time to tell others when you’re blogging, writing an article, creating your weekly ezine, recording your podcast, i.e. “Had great interview with Jane Smith today on speaking to grow your biz. Great ideas! Subscribe to podcast & listen here “
3. Useful tool or resource you’ve found. I run across these all the time in my daily activities, and Twitter is a perfect place to share,. i.e. “Found great new Firefox plug-in to monitor & check multiple Gmail accounts at same time at ” or “Read great blog post on working at home with kids under 5 at (URL here)”
4. Ask a question. Need some ideas or some quick brainstorming? Twitter is an ideal place to gather opinions, i.e. “Help! Desperately seeking new laser printer. Recommendations?” or “How do I find training organizations online?”
5. Conduct a survey. What do your Tweeps think about a particular issue? Ask them via Twitter, i.e. “Quick poll: Do you get more clients from Facebook or Twitter? Respond at (URL here)”
6. Report on live events. The latest Twitter trend seems to be tweeting what’s happening at conferences or workshops. In order for Twitter users to follow a particular event, it’s usually referred to by a name preceded by a # sign, as in #JVAlert, for example, to make it simpler for people who want to follow those posts. So, if you were at an event, you might tweet “#JVAlert John Smith speaking on affiliate programs. Just got great idea on training affiliate managers!” Just don’t get so wrapped up in tweeting that you ignore the content delivered in the conference!
7. Product or service launch. If you’re about to launch a new product or introduce a new product, let your Twitter followers know, i.e. “Pre-launch pricing for new DVD set about how baby boomers can start an online biz. Get $100 early bird discount at (URL here)”
8. Responding to others with advice or answers. The way to build professional relationships on Twitter is to help your tweeps. So, if someone asks a question, comments about something to which you have a response or an idea, or you want to ask a followup question, this is the perfect place to do so.
9. Acknowledging new followers. I’ve noticed a recent trend of acknowledging people who’ve decided to follow a Twitter user in the past day or so. I initially thought that others were doing this as a measure of popularity, but what I’ve come to realize that it’s actually helping out the new followers because it exposes their Twitter profiles to others who may have never heard of them and who might like to follow them. So, to thank your followers, you’d tweet, “Welcome new followers @twittername, @twittername, etc.”
10. Automate your tweets. Many of my tweets have been automated and connected to other things I do. TwitterFeed turns all of my blog posts into tweets. aWeber turns each ezine issue into a tweet. EzineArticles.com tweets my followers every time I publish an article through their service. Typically all that’s involved here is connecting the particular service to my Twitter account. Once all the services are connected, I get free and automated Twitter posts with no additional effort on my part.
Twitter can be a great time-waster or a wonderful way to market your business and leverage your expertise online. Follow these 10 strategies and you’ll begin to attract more followers and get more clients through social networking.
How To Use MySpace To Attract Thousands Of New Visitors
MySpace is a social networking site where people can set up a profile page, a blog or a group to add and meet friends with similar interests.
Myspace is home to over 85 million people so it is no wonder that Internet Marketers are using it as a marketing tool. MySpace can be used to drive targetted traffic to your sites (which can then be monetized using Adsense, your own product or Affiliates).
After you have set up your MySpace profile (which will have links to your site), there are three ways to get people to view your MySpace profile and click onto your site, these are:
Adding Friends: This feature allows you to manually surf other people’s MySpace profiles and add them to your friends list with just one click. After you have added them, they will be sent an email request asking them if they want to accept your invitation. I have found that most people will accept invitations. When I’m searching for MySpace Friends to add, I only add people who have similar interests to my site so that I’m only getting targetted traffic. The more friends you have, the more traffic you will get to your site.
Posting Comments: This is a good way of getting other people to add you as a friend. After people have added you as their friend, go to their profile page and post a nice comment and include your link. Some MySpace profiles have good page ranks and are visited by thousands of people daily, so posting your link there is a good idea.
Making A Group: Starting your own MySpace Group around your niche topic is easy and is a great way to get thousands of profile views and traffic.
I experimented with MySpace Marketing and have found the results pretty good, as long as you choose a popular niche. One of my blogs receives more than 50% of it’s traffic just from MySpace.
Post A Bulletin: After you have built up a nice friends list, it’s time to post a bulletin. A bulletin is just a message that gets sent to everyone on your friends list. In your bulletin, you can send something meaningful and include affiliate links or a link to your site.
If you haven’t used MySpace as a marketing tool yet, then I suggest you give it a try. MySpace is free and it’s a great way to get instant traffic and backlinks to your site.
