The awesome Google Street View is a new function added to Google Maps and Earth letting you see a selection and streets from around the globe in a 360° horizontal and 290° degree vertical panoramic views from a set number of positions along the streets at a height of around 2.5 metres.

The great thing about viewing satellite images is that you get to see real photographs from anyplace in the world, Big Ben, The Coloseum, craters formed when dinosaurs roamed the world, you name it. You can then save and share that fantastic satellite view with friends and family and add more interesting information such as where you got married, or the busiest road in town.

A great feature after you have discovered your sight is that you can move and rotate the satellite image showing a birds eye view on buildings, mountains and landmarks on the terrain. The answer is no, we would need a lot of satellites out in orbit if this could happen.
