Top 5 Google Adwords Tips – Pay-per-click Advertising Made Easy
Top 5 Google Adwords Tips – Pay-per-click Advertising Made Easy
Google AdWords is the lead provider of pay-per-click advertising for webmasters to promote their website, products or for affiliate marketers to promote products that they do not own. There are many misconceptions and miscues regarding proper methods of using AdWords to drive traffic to your website so that you may earn revenue. Below are 5 tips that should clear up some of the misconception and then you will be lead to where all of the confusion or frustration behind PPC advertising will be taken care of.
Tip #1: âFreeâ Negative Keywords for Campaigns (mostly for monetized websites.)
For siteâs that exist to make profit make sure that every ad group in your campaign has the keywords â-free, -freebie, -freebiesâ so searchers looking for free items do not come across your site that requires a purchase to obtain a product or service. The importance of doing this is beyond importance as failure to do so as a lot of money can be lost by having to pay for freebie seeking visitors who click your ad because you did not filter out free-related keywords.
Tip #2: The 3 Variation Method â Keyword Entry
When entering keywords you could simply enter âmy keywordâ into the keyword box when adding a keyword or phrase to your ad group but AdWords has special syntax that can increase the efficiency of each keyword. Just entering the keyword as is, will only yield broad searches for that keyword, it is necessary for every keyword phrase in your ad group to be put in quotes and brackets [] so to add one keyword you should actually have three entries: keyword, âkeywordâ and [keyword]. This will allow for broad matches, phrase matches and exact matches to all display your ad.
Tip #3: Ad Groups for Each Keyword
Since AdWords handles the way ads are displayed by the effectiveness of the ad, the quality score and CTR a technique that is often utilized is to create an ad group for every keyword phrase (remember tip #2, technically 3 entries per ad group) so that low performing ad groups do not sacrifice or affect the CTR of your better performing ad groups. This will allow for your best performing keywords to operate at maximum efficiency.
Tip #4: Capitalization
Unfortunately Google AdWords does not allow advertisers to type their ads in all caps (searchers are thankful for this) but there are many methods to create emphasis. Simply enough capitalize the first letter of every word in your advertisement (including the display URL); even though it may be grammatically incorrect it creates emphasis and can draw the eye.
Tip #5: Research the Competition
Make sure to scout competitorâs ads for keywords you are considering adding to your ad campaign. If they are bidding ridiculous amounts that are far beyond your budget you should shy away from that keyword, and if too many keywords pose this problem you may want to reconsider your niche. Study how the competition sets up their headlines and description. See if you can find a pattern among the competition and seek to make your ad unique. Make your ad stand out from the rest!
AdWords Tips For Network Marketers
AdWords Tips For Network Marketers
Throughout the day, millions of people around the globe are surfing the net and millions of advertisements are also available online for them to see. However, not all net surfers will be interested in checking each advertisement unless this will be of their interest. The issue now would be how we can spoil each net surfer’s interest so that they’ll check your advertisements.
There are some AdWords’ tips for network marketers so that their ads will be on top of the search engines like Google. To start giving you those AdWords’ tips, let me give you some idea on how to create AdWords on Google as an example. First of all, you have to generate or make your ads and choose words or phrases to be your keywords. Bear in mind that your keywords have to be, as mush as possible, very related to the business that you have. The keywords are very much important because as people search on Google or any other search engines using your keywords, that is the time that they will be able to see your advertisements, hence, this will be a chance for you to entice them about what you offer. As soon as you have someone educated about your products and services there is a possibility that you can make a sale or if not, there is still a word-of-mouth that you can rely on. As the news about you spread the more chances that you can get customers.
Another AdWords’ tip is that you have to make sure that your ad will stick to a person’s mind and heart. Those heart warming ads were the best if you have a charity organization which is in need of donations so that you can help more needy people, for example. In health ads you have to have some ads that would make them realize the importance of consumers’ health and thus, it will result to these people consulting to specialists which your company offers. These were just examples for advertisements that you can have since there should be different ads according to what services you offer.
The next AdWords’ tip would be about earning and loosing – this is money that I’m talking about. Of course you can loose some and earn some later on. But you just have to be very wise on spending every last cent, and always be on-track if you are earning more than the amount you are actually spending.
Next AdWords’ tip is focus on the amount that you think you will be earning more. You’re in a business so you should have to be positive in terms of your earnings. Always consider the quality of your services so that it will be worth it. While you are demanding for a higher rate, the quality of the service that you will provide should always be the best.
One of the “you may not believe it” AdWords’ tip would be about the keywords. Most of the time you should use misspelled words because it really works. You can also try the “written as one” keywords, most of the time these types of keywords where being search more times than those spelled correctly.
These are just few tips that can help you but you can still find lots of different blogs online discussing about this. The last thing you have to remember in AdWords would be explore and affordable.

Seven PPC Optimization Benchmarks That Cut Your Costs in Google Adwords
Seven PPC Optimization Benchmarks That Cut Your Costs in Google Adwords
I won’t go into what makes a successful PPC ad campaign because this topic is better covered by experts like Perry Marshall.
My goal is to describe seven specific aspects of a Google AdWords campaign that you can control, which I will go over in more detail in a minute. These are the limits or benchmarks you can set for your campaign results. They are based on your financial goals –That is, the numbers of leads or sales results you want to aim for.
These benchmarks will vary depending on what your price point is, the type of market you are pursuing, the keywords you choose and whether you use Search or Content marketing. That’s already a lot of variables and it doesn’t even take into account the following list from Noble Samurai, (They make a nifty keyword research tool.)
What the competition is in your market.
What your visitor-to-sales conversions are.
How many competitors exist in the market.
How easily you can achieve high rankings
How strong the competition is in that market.
How hard you work.
How easily your can dominate your niche.
All that being said, what CAN you control? Consider establishing these benchmarks before you even set up an AdWords campaign. With these controls you will be able to optimize your adgroups as you see results and improve your keyword scores, CTR and positioning. Optimization is part of “speaking Google” so it’s a good idea to learn the language.
From the start, decide what position you want to “own.” Are you going for the very top (1-3) of the first page, or are you happy to be in the middle, or just anywhere you can afford on the first page? The quality of your traffic will vary and so will the price, so keep an eye on how your positioning affects results. “Owning” a position is the only way to get consistent traffic, and consistency is the only way to build a business. So keep track of which keywords are producing conversions and cut out the ones that are not giving you adequate results. Focus on keeping your keyword quality scores high-at least 5-7. When a keyword score falls below a 5, the cost per click goes up 15+ %. So watch those scores! Profitability in a competitive market can be tough when keywords are expensive, so set a limit on your CPC (Cost per click.) Never pay more than a click average. Depending on your niche, you may pay much less, but low cost clicks don’t always mean quality traffic. You also may pay more at first. Your goal is to find a price that works in your niche. Always aim for a 1% CTR (Click through rate) or more on Search keywords. Google likes relevancy and they score it based on your CTR. Again, you get a better position and pay less when your ad is relevant (It gets traffic and clicks.) However, high CTR doesn’t guarantee sales. Conversion rates for leads or sales will be a factor that varies for each market and price point, but generally speaking, shoot for at least 5% for Content, and 10% conversion for Search keywords. Don’t waste your advertising budget on keywords that don’t convert to sales! And finally, decide what you are willing to pay for those conversions. (Also called Cost per Acquisition or CPA.) Whether it’s a visit to your website, a lead, or a sale, what is the average price that works for your metrics and produces a profit on the back end? You may go above it or below it, so find an average profitable conversion price, and stick to it.
Obviously this all requires a lot of surveillance on your part. It also means becoming intimate with the “Reports” tabs and other tools on Google that provide the information you need to evaluate your returns on each keyword so you can cut out the “weeds” and only keep the best.
Does optimization take a bit of work? Yes it does, and you can skip it if you want to…. It’s your money and your business.

Driving traffic to your website is one of the most important activities that you can do as the owner of an online business. Without traffic, you are guaranteed not to get any sales. Therefore, no matter what your business model is, traffic is the first thing to be concerned about. In this article, we will focus on Google AdWords pay per click (PPC) advertising which is a way for you to get targeted traffic to your website. For the uninitiated, however, there are many pitfalls that await.
The first tip has to do with proper structuring of your ad campaign. When you create a new ad campaign, it is better to create a number of smaller ad groups within that campaign. One of the big mistakes that newcomers to AdWords make is creating a single ad group and filling it up with hundreds if not thousands of keywords. It is far better to come up with a few different categories that describe your business and focus on creating groups of tightly related keywords for each group.
Secondly, learn how to write an ad that will draw the readers’ attention and get them to click on it. With the limited number of characters allowed for the ad copy, one of the best ways to come up with attention grabbing copy is to learn from the classified ads in newspapers and magazines. Browse through the classifieds and take note of any ad that really captures your attention and ask yourself what makes it work. When you write ads that get more clicks, you will increase your click through ratio (CTR) and as a result you could lower the minimum bid that you pay for each click.
The third tip has to do with testing and tracking your ads. Be sure to create multiple ads and rotate them evenly to test which ones result in the best CTR. You will need to run the test so that each ad gets at least 50 or so clicks. Otherwise, the test will be invalid if you base your decision on just a few clicks. When you set up your campaign initially, be sure to select the option to rotate your ads evenly because the default option is to allow the system to automatically optimize showing your best ad more often. If this is the case, you will not be able to run an accurate split test.
There is a steep learning curve for becoming proficient at Google AdWords. If you do not give up, however, and master the system, you will be rewarded with targeted traffic to your webstite.

Adwords is Googles version of an advertising campaign. Basically put, Google is allowing you to advertise on their website. This means that you will have access to some of the multi millions of visitors that are searching on Google on a daily basis. Which could mean thousand of hits to your website.
Why Google AdWords?
One of the main reason that Google AdWords is so popular is quite simply the way it is structured. Instead of traditional advertising, where you pay for your ad no matter what. Google AdWords allows you to ONLY PAY when a visitor clicks on your ad and comes to your website.
This is the same as your advertising magazine only charging you when a reader gets in contact with you. This is very powerful stuff. It is know as Pay Per Click Advertising.
How to Set up Your Google AdWords Account:
Ok, First of all you will need to go to Google website: http://adwords.google.com.
Once you have loaded the screen, look for a button that says – Sign Up Now > or Try Adwords Now >. Once clicked you will be taken to a page that asks you whether you want to set up a ‘Starter Edition’ or a ‘Standard Edition’, I personally have never used the Starter Edition. Basically, the Starter Edition is only for complete beginners. You will need to upgrade to the Standard Edition sooner or later, so why not sign up now. I’m going to take you through the Standard Edition signup.
Once inside, you will be asked to select your language, this will determine the language of the text that you will be reading. Then you will be prompted to choose your target location. This section is going to depend on your business. Lets break these down.
Countries and territories:
- Your ads will appear for searches made anywhere in the selected locations.
Regions and cities:
- Your ads will appear for searches made in the regions and cities you choose. (Not available in all locations.)
Customised:
- Your ads will appear for searches made within a specific distance from your business or other location you choose.
So, unless you want to target your, you will select Countries & territories. Other wise, choose an option that will only show your ad in targeted area. I normally choose Countries & territories as this will get me the most amount of explosure.
The following page will ask you which countries you want your ad to appear in. This is very important, as it allows you to chose which targeted countries you want to promote to. For most of my products, I always select – UK, America, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. You can select which ever countries are best suited to you. Simple high light the country that you want, click the ‘Add’ button. Once you have selected all of your countries, simply click ‘Continue’.
Writing Your Ad:
Ok, now we start getting into the heart of the campaign, we can start writing our ads. This part is so easy to do, yet is has one of the biggest impacts on your campaign. Do this right, and you will gain massive rewards, Do this wrong, and it will cost you dig time!
Headline:
Make you headline stand out from the other adds. It must get the readers attention.
Description Line 1:
This line normally works best as a benefit line. What are the benefits of your products or service?
Description Line 2:
Create a sense of urgency! this should be a call to action line. Get them to click onto your ad.
Display URL:
This is the URL of your website. How ever, you do not need to add the www. And you can also add capitalization to the first letter of each word.
EXAMPLE:
www.articlereader.com - can become - ArticleReader.com
Destination URL:
This is the full URL of your website address.
EXAMPLE:
www.articlereader.com
Adding Your Keywords:
Your Keywords are the word that you want your ad to on appear when typed in. So, for example: If I’m promoting a free ebook give away, then I would want to bid on Keyphrase such as:
- Ebook
- Free Ebook Giveaway
- E- Book
- E book
As you can see, I’m bidding on different variation of the same word. This is because, you don’t know exactly what a user is going to type in to the search engines. There four, you want to cover all related keywords.
This page also offer you a chance to find more keywords. Simply type your main key phrase into the ‘Want More’ text field, click search and hey presto, You have a new list of keyphrase that you can use. Your keyphrase should be targeted to your product or service.
Choosing Your Price:
One last section to complete then were done. There are three sections to this area, each of which are all based around the amount and currency of your advertising.
Choose a currency:
This is straight forward – simply select the currency of your country from the drop down menu.
Average Spend a day:
How much would you like to spend on a daily basis? I always set this to £1,000. Don’t worry, you will never spend this much. But by setting a high daily spend, it will ensure that your ad is show through out the day. You then control the cost via the keyword bid amount.
Keyword Bid Amount:
Select how much you want to pay. Basically, what is the maximum that you want to pay for one click? This amount should be worked out based on your profit margins. The more profit that you have, the more you can afford to pay. However, a good starting point for most people is between £0.50 & £1.00. This however, will decrease if you can create a high Click Through Rate for your AdGroups. Check out my resource box below for more on CTR, and how to master your campaign.
Well Done!
Thats it, the next step just asks you to confirm your details, then give your account information over. Remember, you will be charged £5.00 to set you account, so have your credit card ready.
Good Luck!

Are You Ready For PPC Advertising?
It seems pretty simple, open an Adwords account, put up a bunch of keywords, write a couple of ads, set the budget and away you go!
Yes you go way into the high price’s for keyword’s…
I didn’t really know that there were tricks to this and I figured even if there were, I didn’t really need them since I was just a small company…WRONG! That is when you need it the most, because you need your advertising dollars to stretch like you’ve never stretched a dollar before.
When you are a small company you need all the help you can get, and I got plenty of help from Perry Marshall’s book called The Ultimate Guide To Google Adwords. Talk about a book that lives up to it’s name! Wow, this book helped me slash my internet advertising cost’s in half in just one month, no joke A MONTH!
I highly recommend you check out Perry’s Free 5 Day Adwords Course.
Google Adwords is no longer a mystery to me. Perry pulled back the curtain and revealed Oz. The great thing about pay per click advertising is once you put the system in place, it pretty much just runs itself. Just requires a little maintenance and then you’re good to go.
Cut Your Advertising Cost’s In Half!
If you are new to Internet advertising or if you have been spending more and more on PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising, then here are some resources that could help you tremendously!
I have a small business and I decided about a year ago to start doing some PPC advertising. I started out spending 0-0 a month. Then I bumped it up to 0 then to 0 then to 00! I don’t know about you but 00 a month for advertising just seemed like a fortune. Like I said I am a small business so that was a large check to write every month to say the least.
It wasnt just the 00 going out each month, it’s that I didn’t feel like I was getting a very good ROI (Return On Investment) either. The cost per click kept going way up! Why was this happening? I chalked it up to more competition. I went with an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) company, I thought it’s time to turn this over to the professionals.
They started to tell me about click-thru-rates, long-tail-keywords, and all sorts of other SEO tricks that seemed to make a lot of sense.
I thought I was finally in good hands….NOT!
They started out good and then the same thing, it went down like a lead balloon.
I started researching a little about what I had been told. I realized there was a whole do-it-yourself-PPC world out there.
This Story Does Have A Happy Ending Though.
The Ultimate Guide To Google Adwords is what helped me slash my Internet advertising cost’s from over 00 dollars a month to 0 and get the same response!
I am now spending one-third of what I was spending before and I am getting the same number of clicks, calls, and emails that I was getting all along.
This book talks a good bit about making money with affiliate marketing, but I found it to be so great for getting an advertising strategy for my existing business.

Understand Google Adwords – Killer Tips
Understand Google Adwords – Killer Tips
Article Contents:
To get the most out of Google Adwords, first you must understand how Google works. By not taking these simple first steps, you could quite easily find yourself struggling to make a profit using Google Adwords. This is simply because Google wants to reward user that do everything by the book. So, the more that you understand Google, the better position you will be in.
Google Loves Relevancy:
So many advertisers forget what Google is all about, they forget that Google is a technology company, not an advertising company. In fact, the only department in the entire Google company that deals with paying customers is the AdWords department.
So, what does this tell us?
Google Loves Relevancy, they always have and always will! They will always be working for the end user. The users that search using Googles interface. This is where their main focus is, as it’s these users that make Google what it is. Take them away and you have nothing. In fact, it’s only because Google is all about user experience, that makes Google the number one search engine. When a user search’s for ‘Cheap Homes To Rent In Essex’ Google does it’s best to provide that user with the most relevant results.
What Does This Mean For Your AdWords Ads?
Make them relevant! Again, Google is all about relevancy, which means that they are happy to reward you for being relevant. Within the Google Adwords structure, Google will reward you by increasing your Click Through Rate (CTR) and your Quality Score (QS). It is these two factors that will determine how much you pay and your ad position.
Important Areas to Cover:
Here are a few things that you need to know about Google.
- Google WILL check your campaign manually! this is important to know because Google have a set guidelines as to what your landing page should be like. If one of the Google admin members comes to your website, and finds that your landing page is not in compliance with their criteria, then this will effect your quality score.
- Make Everything for the end users. Once again, this comes back to relevancy. If your landing page matches the content of your ad, and your ad matches the keyphrase that gets typed into Google. Then you will be seen as highly relevant.
Ok, now you understand what you should do, here’s what not to do.
- Don’t promote anything illegal.
- Weapons or Violence
- Sexual Content or Prostitution
- Drugs / Steroids / perscription
- Gambling
- Knock off or counterfeit goods
- Answers for educational tests
- scams
- AdSense Template
- Donation Site – Unless Government.
ReCap:
- Make your ads relevant to the search & make your landing page relevant to your AdWords ad.
- Avoid having AdSense & banner advertising on your landing page.
- Make everything about thee end user!
Good Luck
