CES – 40 years of Consumer Electronics Trends
Over the past 40 years the first week of January is one of the most important weeks, if not the most important, for consumer electronic manufacturers and the reason for that is because that is when the most prestigious Consumer Electronics fair is on.
Held in the city of Las Vegas Nevada, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a major technological related trade show. Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association, the CES is a trade-only show not open to the general public, and it is where manufacturers announce, introduce and preview future products.
A little bit of history:
The first CES show was held in New York in 1967. From the years of 1978 to 1994 CES used to be held twice a year, once in the summer in Chicago and once in the winter held in Las Vegas. However, SCES begun to loose popularity and in the summer of 1995 organisers decided to put the show on the road, consecutive failures led to the cancellation of the summer show and a once a year format was adopted.
Throughout the years the Consumer Electronics Show has been the main stage of notable products introductions, it would be virtually impossible to list all products and technologies introduced at CES over the years, so here is a compilation of the most notable ones in chronological order:
1970: Was the year when the Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) was introduced.
1974: Was marked by the introduction of the Laser disc player.
1981: Two notable introductions this year; the Compact Disc (CD) and the Camcorder.
1985: First notable revolution in the gaming industry with the introduction of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
1996: Year when the DVD was introduced.
1998: HDTV was introduced.
2001: Microsoft introduced its gaming console the Xbox.
2008: Panasonic stole all the attention by releasing a 150 inch <a onClick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.giantbuyer.com/”>Plasma TVs</a> as thin as 0.46 inches.
2009: Highlights to the impressive number of exhibiting companies, +2,700 and the introduction of 3-D Home Entertainment.
Insurance CE – Worth the Investment
If you are an insurance professional, you would be well aware of the statutory requirements in the field of insurance – of continuing education (also known as CE) each year so that your license remains up to date.
Insurance CE is a huge industry; and there are hundreds of training centers across the country which survive solely on insurance continuing education. As the number of insurance agents in the country increases, there is more and more demand for continuing education, as it is mandatory in all the states to have a prescribed number of training hours attended each year, failing which the insurance license may be revoked.
But like many other things, insurance CE has also gone online, and in the last couple of years, there has been a major increase in the percentage of people who have shifted online for their training hours. In the beginning, the large training institutes shifted online and the certification was done from their local centers. However, today, there are superb online institutes which have been set up solely for the purpose of Insurance CE. Some of the best ones even allow their visitors to read through all the material online for free – even without registration, and then pay for the examination. Even the test is done online, and certification also is done through a secure server through the website itself. Since the whole process is done online, the insurance professional need not worry about booking a slot and attending classes at a training institute locally. From the comfort of his own home, he can log on, read all the topics any number of times, and then attempt to take the test.
The mandatory topic of Ethics is the first paper that people will need to take, and for every additional paper they attempt, the pricing structure is different. One thing, however, is certain. The investment it takes for people to get certified online is nothing when compared to what a training institute would charge you outside. That is one more reason (and a major one at that!) as to why a great number of people prefer to shift online for their insurance CE. Since the number of hours is to be logged every year or every couple of years (depending on the state) for the insurance license to be valid, it would amount to quite a bit of savings in the long run.
If you are not familiar with insurance CE yet, get there! You will enjoy it. You will not only fulfill your state requirements, but you will learn a great deal with every course you take. You will learn about new laws, sales tactics, and different products and services available for your clients. Whether you decide to do classroom CE or online, make sure you pay attention to detail and learn as much as possible. I would suggest taking your courses online, they are fast, easy, and affordable. You don’t have to sit in a classroom and it all ends with a short multiple choice exam.
Insurance CE – Fast, Effective, And Professional Learning
The Insurance CE courses offer great knowledge building courses covering a wide range of insurance products. The insurance continuing education online courses are available in hundreds and if you are an insurance professional you can pick your choice of insurance product that you wish to sell.

Each and every course in the insurance CE curriculum is well devised and drafted by the top personnel in insurance industry who have vintage experience in sales and marketing arena too. You can opt for your favorite course in the entire spectrum of insurance field be it insurance product training, business practices training, insurance sales pitch training and much more.
Many of the Insurance continuing education courses are available both online as well as in classroom coaching whichever suits you best. Insurance continuing education online courses are the best option s for you to chose from as you can do the course online, fast and easy without having to go to a regular insurance school where you would be charged huge sums of money. When you successfully complete your chosen insurance course, the course provider will issue a certificate of completion and will report the insurance CE credits within 10 days after you complete the course. In fact majority of the states require that all insurance professionals in that state fulfill all the mandatory and optional insurance continuing education requirements to obtain licensure.
Insurance education is also required to maintain your insurance adjuster license on a current status. These Insurance continuing education courses may cover wide concepts like insurance claims, latest insurance rules and regulations, fraudulent claims, ethics, law as well as negotiations. Also available online are the group benefits Insurance CE programs wherein you benefit a total of 30 CE credits either all at once or in separate modules in categories of 10 CE credits at a time.
The courses are extremely effective to polish your skill sets so that you may make better sales conversions with your newly acquired marketing training and you can have better knowledge on various insurance products like health and life insurance which is long term insurance plans and yield good commission. Along with it, you can also gain sufficient expertise in property insurance as well as in covering up for casualties. Insurance CE also provides for Annuity training, pre licensing courses as well as securities and market penetration training to cross sell insurance products to different segments in the market. The insurance continuing education online course is risk free as you can choose your topic of interest and write the test any number of times from the comfort of your home.
What You Need To Know About Choosing an Online Insurance CE Provider
Completing your insurance continuing education courses and receiving the required state credits you need is an important part of keeping your insurance license each year. Therefore, its important which online insurance ce provider you choose and what options they have available to you. A current study from Agent Media showed that 67 percent of people now obtain at least several of their insurance CE credits on the Internet. It actually is the best efficient choice, saving money on traveling and from losing time away from the office while you are being instructed in the classroom. Because of its growth in popularity, there are many Internet based companies now making online insurance continuing education classes available. How do you make a selection from all of these options to figure out who is the best insurance CE provider for you?
You should consider the following five questions before registering for your next course:
Does the supplier give you excellent quality, interesting coursework?
Online insurance CE courses should use the multimedia (such as audio, video and animation) ability of the Internet to make the most of the educational experience. The coursework should be created by well known professionals in the industry, should follow the necessary format, and should be accredited in all 50 states. Request a free sample course to be certain that the instructor meets these standards. Also, look at the provider’s class manual to be certain there are adequate choices of courses so that you can obtain all the training that is necessary from one source.
Does the provider keep track of your online course results and that of your employees?
For you to remain compliant, the results of your insurance continuing education courses must get into the right hands in a timely manner. Look for an insurance CE provider who will handle that for you without additional paperwork on your part. The whole idea of getting your required credits online is to make the process faster and more efficient, so make sure your provider will track all your courses automatically, inform you of the courses you still need to take, and report your results to state within two to three business days (as allowed by your state’s licensing board). You should also immediately receive a Certificate of Completion when you pass a course, so you’ll have proof in-hand when needed. These services should be available to you at no additional charge.
Are the courses flexible enough to fit your schedule?
Online learning has made it possible to take your insurance CE courses anywhere and anytime you have a web connection, but sometimes it’s still difficult to find the time to sit down and complete a course in one sitting. Look for an online insurance CE provider that allows you to save your sessions and pick up where you left off, so you can truly work at your own pace.
Can you re-take courses without additional charges?
Once you have paid for a course, you should be able to review it as many times as you want without being charged again. You should also be allowed to re-take the exams as often as you need to pass the course and earn the credits.
If you are going to be away from your computer, can you take the course material with you?
Just because you are taking a web-based course, you need not be tied to the computer the entire time. Look for a provider that will allow you to print out pages from the course material for later review. Also, your provider should allow you to download the audio from multimedia courses. These audio downloads can be saved like a podcast to your MP3 player for even more flexibility. You can review the information while on the road, exercising, doing housework — anywhere you can use you iPod.
The emphasis of insurance continuing education is to make sure you stay abreast on all the current news in insurance services and regulations. When you receive the best possible training, both you and your clients will reap the rewards. Finding a high quality, accredited online continuing education partner is the first step in maximizing the benefit to your business, and it’s worth the effort to do your homework.

Are You an Insurance Professional? Learn How an Online CE Provider May Be Right for You!
Like many other service professionals, registered Insurance agents and adjusters are required to stay up to date with the latest rules, regulations, and best practices of their industry through regular Insurance Continuing Education (CE) training. While each state has its own unique licensing requirements, all states require some level of periodic Insurance CE to maintain a license in that state.
Each state’s insurance licensing board usually requires a number of continuing education credits be attained every two years. The training provider must be certified to teach in the state in which the insurance agents are licensed.
The insurance professional now has a couple of options in regards to how they receive their training. In the past training followed a traditional approach; a classroom setting in which a lecture is given and an exam taken. Once the exam is passed the results are sent to the state’s insurance licensing board to be recorded. When the trainee has completed sufficient credits by the deadline, they receive their license renewal for another two years.
There are certain advantages gained by learning in a classroom environment. Most everyone went through school in a similar learning environment and so it is a familiar venue. Insurance agents and adjusters can meet each other, network, compare notes and discuss the lecture. There are some disadvantages to this learning model, however which include:
The costs associated with this kind of training are high due to the need to rent classroom space and hire a professional trainer, as well as the associated travel and lodging costs.
Most classes are offered during the week during business hours, causing lost productivity.
Completed course credits usually need to be reported by the trainee to the licensing board.
Insurance is a very competitive business. Time away from the office may result in lost opportunities or a backlog of work which needs to be attended to.
Online insurance continuing education provides a number of benefits which address the shortcomings of traditional classroom training. Some of the advantages include the following.
The cost of training is lower than a classroom based course. Often it is a percentage of the usual cost.
Training can be undertaken at any time of day or night. One is not locked into being present at any particular time, allowing studying to take place when their schedule allows for it.
Students can traverse the course materials at their own pace. Lessons can be revisited until all concepts are understood.
Several online providers allow test retakes at no extra charge.
Insurance professionals who are licensed in more than one state can receive their accreditation all at once.
Many insurance CE providers report achieved training credits to the licensing board automatically, in the states where this is allowed.
Individual insurance CE deadlines are mailed to the license holder as a reminder to complete their licensing requirements before the deadline occurs.
Insurance companies that sign up their employees for training can keep track of training requirements and monitor the licensing status of each employee through a web interface.
Online training courses are typically delivered via slide presentation using a computers web browser. Most people know how to use a web browser and therefore require no additional training.
Some online Insurance CE courses now provide multimedia support that augments the presentation slides. Insurance professionals should choose an online Insurance CE provider that includes audio training as a complement to on-screen slides. For example, the audio can be downloaded as a “podcast” and the insurance professional can listen and learn while driving to an appointment.
If you are an insurance professional and are considering using an online provider to complete your insurance CE, you may be able to find special deals that offer unlimited courses for a fixed price. This can save you a lot of time and money, not to mention the convenience of being able to study at the location and time of your choosing.

AlphaDerma Ce Anti Aging Formula Makes Big Claims, But What Do Customers Say?
Beautyblogtalk.com’s expansive collection of reviews features even more facts on AlphaDerma CE.
Find a detailed review of AlphaDerma CE at Beautifulreview.com, a highly informative skin care product review site.
AlphaDerma CE ™ Overview
Nevertheless, AlphaDerma CE™ is considered ideal for reducing fine lines and the depth of wrinkles on the face, specifically under and next to the eye area and forehead frown lines. The manufacturer goes on to claim, AlphaDerma CE™ can be used to diminish stretch marks and scars, as well as to firm sagging skin due to weight loss and pregnancy.
Ingredients at a Glance
Acetyl Hexapeptide-AH3, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, DMAE, Elastin concentrate, Collagen, Soy
Ingredients in Focus
The Acetyl Hexapeptide-AH3 contains 10% Argireline, which is believed to relax facial muscle contractions that may reduce the depth of wrinkles. The manufacturer claims the collagen in their formula fills in unwanted fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C Ester is said to boost protective antioxidant action, which is believed to help repair past damage by aiding new collagen production. Advertising for AlphaDerma CE™ claims their Vitamin C Ester is scientifically advanced with solubility that allows absorption to occur easier than other forms of Vitamin C. No cited research supports the claim.
DMAE or Dimethylaminoethanol, is also used in the formula. The advertising purports the ingredient is often referred to as “facelift in a jar” by some skin specialists. Apparently, it helps firm and tighten the skin and with regular use, DMAE may give skin a more defined, youthful appearance. Elastin concentrate is purported as 100% rare, costly, freeze-dried powdered Elastin concentrate, which has almost 100% amino acid content. We’d love to know more about the “rare” Elastin, but the advertising does not provide further information about the source.
Positives

Negatives
Expensive Does not contain Hyaluronic Acid or Matrixyl
Final Thoughts
Hands down, the ingredient Argireline is what makes AlphaDerma CE™ worth considering, however, there are two strikes against the anti-aging cream as well because they do not include Matrixyl or Hyaluronic acid in the formula. Matrixyl is believed to stimulate the inner layers of the skin to heal itself, in dermatology the ingredient is used to accelerate the healing of wounds so you can imagine what it might do for the skin. Hyaluronic acid actually retains water so when it is used in anti-aging creams it can help hydrate your skin and increasing its volume and density, thus diminishing the appearance of wrinkles.

The All-New Akiles AlphaBind-CE Plastic Comb Binding Machine – A Review
There are both manual and electric plastic comb binding machines, and one of the newest electric models for sale is the awesome Akiles AlphaBind-CE. This is a product that produces high-quality bound documents quickly and it’s strong enough to handle heavy-duty usage. Here are the strengths of this machine – which are many – as well as a look at its minor weaknesses. Read on to learn all about them.
Strengths:
The CE is the electric version of Akile’s manual AlphaBind-CM machine. Like that unit, the CE was manufactured to offer customers a chance to own a high-quality product such as the company’s Megabind models, but for a lot less money. The only tradeoff is a twelve inch throat instead of a fourteen inch one. And speaking of money, for an electric machine, the CE couldn’t be more affordable. It retails for around $1,150.00, which is not a bad price, especially since the unit has so many wonderful attributes. However, if you look around, you should be able to find this unit on sale for less than a thousand dollars. It is also covered by Akile’s one-year warranty. This is a device that is ideal for binding documents that are 8.5″ x 11″ (in other words, letter-sized). The CE has an open 12-inch throat, like the CM. The AlphaBind CE has a fairly high punching capacity and it can punch 20 sheets of paper per lift. Although this doesn’t quite match the CM’s punching ability (it can punch 25 sheets), 20 sheets per lift is still pretty impressive. Plus, the electric foot pedal operated punching mechanism will offer a huge increase in productivity over a manual system. This device can bind documents with combs up to 2 inches thick. There is a depth of punch margin control that allows you to punch your holes in just the right place. (This feature has four different settings so it’s easy to choose the correct one.) Plus, the CE has disengageable pins so not only can you punch and bind documents that aren’t letter-sized, you won’t end up with partial holes in your paper. This unit is operated by a foot pedal, which allows you to keep your hands free during the binding process. The CE also has a big waste tray to store all your paper chips. Finally, this is an all-metal device that is well-constructed, so it is very durable. You can punch and bind a large number of books everyday and this product won’t wimp out on you.
Weaknesses:
Although the price of the CE is more than reasonable for a machine as good as this one is, some companies may not be able to afford it. If that’s the case, the CM would be an excellent choice, even though it’s manual, not electric. Some users may find using the foot pedal a bit awkward at first. However, once you get used to it, you should be able to really speed things up by keeping both hands on the pages you are punching. As with the CM, this isn’t the most attractive machine. However, its functions should more than compensate for that.
Overall, the Akiles AlphaBind-CE Plastic Comb Binding Machine has many more strengths than weaknesses. Therefore, as long as the price is well within your budget, this is definitely the machine to get if you want an electric comb binding machine.
If you’re interested in buying the Akiles AlphaBind-CE, you should really visit MyBinding.com. They have this great product as well as a wonderful selection of other Comb Binding Machines, and they’re all available at low prices. Plus, they offer free shipping on all orders over $75.00. Check it out for yourself now!
