Does Larry Page And SEO Matter To Your Internet Business?
Search engine optimization is also known as SEO. One of the co-founders of Google is Larry Page. Which is more important to your internet business?
SEO is the process of choosing targeted keyword phrases related to a site, and ensuring that the site places well when those keyword phrases are part of a Web search. Google Page Rank is named after Larry Page and they use it to determine how important a web page is.
Search engine optimization is important to your Internet business because you are trying to rank as high as possible in search engines such as Google for your various web pages. Google puts a lot of emphasis on page rank, but they put more emphasis on backlinks.
And they put a large number of emphasis on the keyword phrases that a page is known for. This is why search engine optimization is important to your Internet business.
You have the opportunity to let Google know what every web page you build is about. This does not have to be complicated to do either.
The easiest thing you can do is title your page based on one specific keyword phrase. Another simple thing you can do is keep each page targeted to that phrase and not confuse it with different keyword phrases.
You can even do other things such as bolding your keyword phrase, underlining it, and italicizing it. What you really are doing is telling search engines such as Google exactly what your page is about.
Page Rank itself is not that important today for an Internet business ownere. Because it makes them feel good to see their page rank increase Internet newbies still continue to follow it.
Professional Internet marketers do not pay much attention to it because they understand that the only thing that matters is the amount of traffic they are getting to their web pages.
By practicing basic search engine optimization You can help your Internet business. Simple things you can do one include not spamming your keyword phrase on a specific page. I would go so far as to suggest you do not even pay attention to keyword density.
Keep it so simple that you only mention your keyword phrase in a headline tag, and in your introductory and closing paragraph. Use variations of the phrase throughout the body of any text you are putting on your page.
In summary SEO does matter to your business. Larry Page only matters to the extent that he created the world’s largest search engine. Your target goal is to get on page 1 of Google for as many keyword phrases as possible.
