Yes, if you take summer classes.

Yes! You can take more classes than the normal amount (full time is 12 credits – about four classes – but many colleges allow you to take up to 18 or 19 credits a semester, depending on your year in college) My first semester of college I took 15 or 16 credit hours, so if you do that for your winter and spring sessions, and take a summer class or two, you can probably be caught up by fall, no problem.

I believe you mean Spring Semester and yes it is possible if you take classes in the Summer and also check with Admissions about Mini-mester classes which are classes that are half-semester-long so you can take at least an extra class since the semester for these classes change mid-way instead of going through the whole semester. Your friends may take more than the necessary amount of Electives. Make sure you only take the amount of Electives (classes you must take so the college can make $ (my opinion) but aren’t a part of your major).
By the way, when you go to Admissions and whoever works with you and plans out your time there and the classes you need for your program, keep that original course plan. As long as you don’t change your Major, even if the Requirements for your program change later, as long as you keep that original Course Plan, you don’t need to take classes that are later added to your Program. Keep the Course Catalog and your Original Course Requirements the counselor gives you and that is All you need to take.
When you talk to the counselor ask which semester is each class offered. The general courses are often offered every semester but there will be classes you have to take that are only offered a particular semester. Make sure you schedule yourself to take those classes ASAP when they must be taken. Many students end up not being able to graduate on time because they still have 1-2 classes which aren’t offered during what should/would be their final semester at college.

Yes, you can plan on taking summer term classes to catch-up. If summer is a very short semester, just focus on core classes and save the electives until the following summer.
Then you will all be taking the same basic core classes in Fall.
