Advanced Resume Search in Google
Search engines support a number of advanced search features that make your job of searching resumes much easier. These features are usually used along with simple operators.
Every web page has a title, given by the web page developer, that often contains the word ‘resume’ if the page happens to be a resume type document.
Now, if you are looking for resumes of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), your search string in Google will be:
intitle:resume cpa
This simple search string will only display resumes with the word CPA in the resume text. You can replace the keyword at the end of the string to look for other resumes of interest to you.
Create your Company Profile on Social Networks
Social networks continue to evolve as a useful recruiting tool. LinkedIn is the largest and most well-known among professionals. Facebook and MySpace are wonderful sources if you are prospecting freshers/young candidates.
Hundreds of smart recruiting organizations have already put up their profiles on these portals. If you are not one of them, then start designing profiles and experiment with ways to use these types of networking sites more effectively.
