The Google Nexus One? What’s The Hype About?
I have an Android powered device. I don’t see why the N.O (Nexus One) is claiming so much attention. It seems to have Android 2.1 already loaded on there. That’s pretty nice, but the Droid has Android 2 as well. Is all the hype because Google is releasing the phone themselves rather than a network like TMO, ATT, or VRZ? I assume the phone will be unlocked to GSM, is that another reason why people are freaking out over the N.O? I don’t think I’d pay one-thousand dollars for the N.O. Although, I hear that’s the price range.

I must say that it’s a nice phone to have. Here’s the hype without getting technical because I’m not a tech guy when it comes to cell phones:
It has a slightly bigger screen than the iPhone (maybe 1/4 cm bigger. It’s not a huge difference).
It’s slightly thinner than the iPhone.
The picture quality is so much clearer, brighter, sharper, crisper than other phones.
It has voice recognition so you can say, Locate Best Buy, and it will find Best Buy for you.
It has a built-in GPS.
Instead of using numbers to unlock the phone, you use a pattern.
You use your Google account and it will sync everything. All the contacts, email, etc. will sync up.
The background is animated. The default one has the Google color lines running up and down.
Haven’t had a chance to play with the camera, but I heard that it’s 5.1 MP.
The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s too as easy to use as the iPhone, or maybe it’s just that I’ve become too accustomed to the iPhone since I’ve had it for over 3 years, and I just got the Nexus One a couple of days ago.
