When I type in a letter all the searches I have done starting with that letter appear and I want to clear them all.
Clearing history in my browser tool bar doesn’t affect the google search history….

under where the info keeps popping up there should be a close arrow with the words “clear history” in it… if that doesn’tt work, you should try to go to favorites than the history tab than go into “todays history” and click clear

Look, most of these people don’t know anything. I’m assuming you have an account. If you dont, try CCleaner.
If you do: Upper Right-Hand corner>My Account>Find WebHistory>Delete(At the side).

There’s no way to clear it
It’s just the way Google works
    It’s supposed to be helpful
It’s also on Yahoo! search, and MSN search

Install the program CCleaner, it is free. This wipes the google search history (at least when using Firefox).
