I can tell you that AT&T is probably the worst carrier to have because the current Nexus can’t use the G/GS network. It can only use Edge so if you’re using AT&T’s network for web browsing, it’s going to be really slow.
I was told that Google will sell it, and some phone companies (all the ones that uses SIM card) will also sell it. It’s going to be about 200 bucks with a contract, and 500 bucks without a contract.
The screen is about 1 or 2 mm (that’s right, it’s mm, not cm) bigger than the iPhone’s screen.
It uses OLED so the screen is brighter and crisper than the iPhone’s.
Instead of using numbers to unlock the phone, you use a pattern.
It has a 5 MP camera and it can also take videos.
It runs really fast.
It has moving wallpaper. The default has the Google cooler lines running up and down, left and right across the screen.
It has a trackball for navigation if you don’t like using the touch screen.
It has voice recognition. You can speak into the Nexus, like Navigate to Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts, and it will find Fenway Park.
It has GPS with voice direction. It gives you turn by turn direction.
Google is rumored to make an announcement on Jan. 5, so that’s probably the earliest that you can get one.
If you have a gmail account, it will sync with it: download your contacts, emails, apps, etc.
The Nexus One is a little harder to get use to than the iPhone. It’s a little bit more complicated.
I would use the Nexus over the iPhone except that I have AT&T so I’m stuck with the Edge network if I use the Nexus. I don’t have the patience, so I’m sticking with the iPhone and the GS.
It really is an amazing smart phone.
